Our Happily Ever After Begins at WDW... An August 2016 Disneymoon report! The Re-write!

Then we made our way over to World Showcase. We did a lot of backtracking here. We had an ADR at Rose & Crown in UK at 12, and a FP+ after that for FEA in Norway. And we were early for our ADR. Since we had already visited Canada the night before, we did Mexico first, then hit UK, then back to Norway. At least we hopefully walked off some of the food we ate (we ate a lot that day! Big surprise.)

After seeing San Angel Inn, DH asked why we weren't eating there. Apparently, I should have booked it because it was so pretty. I love DH to pieces. But it drives me bananas when I go over our plans, with planning books, Disboards, photos, menus, videos, anything you could think of, for months before our trip, and DH just tells me to do what I want. Then when we're there, he acts like he never knew this place existed. I actually had an ADR booked here, and we ended up changing it. Now it's back on our must-do list for next trip.

I love the Gran Fiesta Tour ride here. I think I love any Disney dark boat ride. They're so relaxing.

UK is my favorite pavilion, so I took a ton of photos.

Time for lunch at Rose & Crown. This was our first time ever eating here, and I couldn't wait to try the fish & chips.

We got appetizers here because we both saw things we wanted to try. DH got the Scotch Egg, and I got the Potato Leek Soup.

DH liked the Scotch Egg a lot. He especially like the mustard sauce. The Potato Leek Soup was really good.
For our entrees, DH got the hamburger, with the sauces on the side, and I got the Fish & Chips.





















DH loved the hamburger. The fish & chips were ok, the batter on the fish was a little too soggy for me.
For dessert, DH got the Banoffee Tart, I got the Jaffa Tarts.

We headed over to FEA for our FP+.

It was just as great the 2nd time.
After that, we toured the rest of World Showcase.



















The China pavilion is now pretty much a Shanghai Disneyland advertisement. There was a lot of stuff promoting it.

We stopped for a snack in Germany
I got a delicious chocolate covered strawberry, and we got a bag of caramel popcorn.

I think the masks in Italy are so beautiful.

DH and I stopped for slushes. I got strawberry, and he got mango.


I forgot about this snack DH got a brownie with caramel from Germany to go, placed it in our backpack, and never ended up eating it. I must've taken a photo of it when we stopped in the America pavilion.

We sat and listened to The American Music Machine for a bit. They are really talented.

Originally I had planned on getting a QS dinner from Tangierine Cafe, with DH getting his dinner in France. But after reading the menu more closely, I decided against it. I thought I saw photos of kabob chicken here, but all they had on the menu and on their display was shawarma chicken, which I'm not a fan of. So I decided to grab something in France with DH.

Followed by dinner at Les Halles Boulangerie & Patisserie.

DH got a ham sandwich, and a berry custard-type dessert. I got an apple and brie sandwich, and the frangipane for dessert.
DH really enjoyed his sandwich, I hated mine. The bread had a really weird taste and texture to it, so I just tried picking out the brie and apples to eat, but it had a sweet cranberry spread all over it that just tasted awful. I do eat grilled brie and apple sandwiches at home, and like them, but not this. The frangipane made up for it though. It was so good! It's like a croissant pastry with marzipan filling. I loved it. DH liked his fruit and cream dessert too. People at table around us all talked about how good their food was, and DH really liked his, so I would eat there again. I would just order something different next time.















I was really excited to see one of these being made. If we didn't just eat, I would've gotten one. Unfortunately, I couldn't get a good picture without overstepping the customer's personal space.
