Chapter 4: The First Meal

Sorry it has been so long. My semester has been busy!
Anyways, we decided that it was time to eat some lunch!
We headed up to Deck 9, which is where all of the quick service places are plus the pools.
Rather than opting for the quick service we went to Cabanas which is the buffet that is open all day& legit all day every day of the cruise!



That was my plate. It is the traditional Disney buffet food! I had veggies, chicken strips, mac and cheese and fries. It is so good to be back!
I only took a picture of mine because I figured you guys would understand the type of food haha&
For dessert I had&.



Cranberry Cheesecake and Bread Pudding



My Dad had carrot cake and a sugar cookie!

After our lunch we decided to walk around the top deck. Here is some pictures!



We think that is the cast pool!



I am not sure what quacks is& there was a sign though&
The sign wasnt on anything in particular&.



eye-scream & get it? Well if you dont, that is the 24 hour ice cream machine& yes 24 hours&



I love the names of these places&



Daisys Delites is a healthier quick service option. We will visit there later!

When we got back to our room the bunk bed was put away and it revealed this picture! I love "Peter Pan"!!!
I then decided to go back to the atrium and take more pictures!











They had an art gallery on the ship! With my favorite artist Thomas Kinkade!

The Walt Disney Theatre is where the live shows take place! But we will talk about that later!




Mickey's Mainsail was the main store onboard! But it wouldn't open until after we set sail!



That is Lumiere's that is where we are going to eat for dinner tonight! But there is a lot between now and then!

Chapter 5: Bon Voyage!

So my Dad decided he was going to go see where he could smoke his cigars, so my mom and I had nothing to do. We decided to head down to the Buena Vista Theatre for a Port Shopping Presentation!





This theatre is the movie theatre! They were showing "Monsters University", "Frozen", "Thor" and "Saving Mr. Banks"



So on the ship there is this woman who is an expert on shopping in Nassau. So she shares tips with people! For those of you who don't know the Bahamas is a great place to get Diamonds, because there is no sales tax and everything is duty free. She also handed out coupons for certain stores! After that meeting I got some hall pictures!







I love the disney fairies! That sign is outside of the Oceaneer's club (the kids club). Don't worry I went in there on a later date!



Terence is my favorite!
Anyways, it was about time for the "Adventure's Away" show... AKA we are officially setting sail!









Those people in the red and blue stripes are the cruise activity people! They take care off all onboard activities.
Then some friends joined!

Chapter 7: Meeting the Crew!

So after Adventures Away I decided to go and meet some of the lovely crew members!
The first two I met were at a location called Preludes&
If you ever go on a cruise on the Magic or Wonder, this location is right by the Walt Disney Theatre and Mickeys Main Sail!





I love Chip and Dale! They were soooooo funny!
Why were they rolling around on the ground? Well Dale laid down to sign someones autograph book and Chip sat on top of him& then they both ended up on the ground!

Next up was the beautiful Minnie Mouse!
I love Minnie, I think she might be my favorite & dont tell my friend Goofy!

After Minnie was Donald!







Funny story, so when I was meeting Donald and we were posing for the picture where we were holding up the #1 sign& I held up two fingers& meaning that he was 1 and I was 2.
Donald thought I was saying he was 2& he got very mad. When I explained he understood. Lets just say Donald isnt someone you want to be on the bad side of!



Then I was able to meet Donald sweetie& Daisy Duck!





I really like Daisy too! Shes sassy!



I had one more meeting!



I just had to get another picture with mickey!



That was a lot of friends!
Next we went to the 6:15 showing of Twice Charmed in the Walt Disney Theatre!



That was the only picture I was able to take because of the rules! Plus taking pictures during live shows in a theatre is kind of rude!
But the show was super cool!
The story was that the Tremaines had their own Evil Fairy Godfather named Franco! He sent them back in time to keep Cinderella from falling in love with the Prince! It was super cute and very fun!
I am a theatre major so I love live theatre!
After the show we had a little time before dinner so we just hung out!
I cant wait for dinner!!!!

Chapter 8: Dinner at Lumiere’s!

So now it is time for dinner!
On the cruise you can choose between the early seating, which is at 5:30, or the later seating which is at 8:15.
We did the later seating.
That is the only thing you pick, they do the rest! (unless you want to eat at Paolo, that you have to set up by yourself)
It is all part of the “Rotational Dining” which I will explain later!
We were seated at table 30!





That is what the menu looked like!
BUT NOW ON TO THE FOOD!



All three of us ordered the French onion soup!
It was soooooooooo goooooooood!!!!
Then our entrees came!



My Dad and I got the Chateau Briand



My Mom got the Steak Sirloin and a Baked Potato.
This was off of the Lighter Fare menu!
It was huge though!
Now on to dessert!



My Dad got the strawberry shortcake sundae!



I had the Mango Cheesecake! (No Sugar Added)



Finally my Mom had the Crème Brule!
Our assistant server suggest the lemon soufflé and because no one ordered it, they brought it out for us to share! It was soooo good!





Those two were our server and assistant server for our dinners!
On the cruise as I mentioned they do “Rotational Dining”.
Each night you go to a different restaurant and the wait staff follows.
So every night you have the same wait staff, so they get to know you!
It was amazing!
The restaurant was beautiful so I took a some pictures!











After dinner I had to get one more meet and greet in!



PLUTO!!
He’s great!

After that we went back to the room!



They left us an elephant… and chocolate!!!
The day was drawing to a close, but there is still a little bit more!

Love all the character meet & greets!

That menu is so fancy. And *drool* for all the food. Everything looks so delicious! Especially those desserts. YUM.

That's so cool how the rotational dining works. I'd love having the same wait staff for every meal in order to get to know each other better. I'm sure that's so much more personal!

Hi Mark! I'm so excited to read about your trip. I enjoyed reading Jess' DCP blog and really enjoyed seeing many of the memories you guys created!! I'm 17 and would love to have that experience one day too I went on a magic cruise in 2012 and had so much fun! I can't wait to read more

Chapter 9: The First Night!

Hey, sorry for the hiatus!
Anyways, I just have some pictures of the top deck after dark!





There was live music!







The arcade was pretty cool. They didn't have "Fix It Felix Jr." or "Sugar Rush" though.





It was super cool!
Well it was then time to go to sleep. We had a busy day tomorrow!

Chapter 10: And Straight On Till Morning!

So, sleeping on the ship is amazing!
I love the rocking of the boat it was very soothing!
Anyways, we headed off to breakfast! We had a busy day ahead!
So breakfast was served at either the restaurant you ate dinner at the night before, or Cabanas!
We opted to eat at Lumiere's again!




The wait staff brought around pastries!



I had pineapple juice! I LOVE pineapple juice!



For my meal I had Mickey Waffles with eggs and bacon!



My dad had Bacon, Sausage, ham, hash browns and eggs!



and My mother had pancakes a waffle and some french toast!
Everything was so good!



The waiter even brought out more Mickey waffles for me!

After Breakfast I went to go meet Jake, from "Jake and the Neverland Pirates"
Although, I noticed there was a Princess meet and greet, so I decided to get them out of the way. I figured Jake would be back on pirate day! (spoiler alert: He wasn't).
Anyways, at this event what you do is wait in line for 4 princesses! (On the Dream and Fantasy there are six I think)
Today we had...



Cinderella!
It was so nice to see her again, it has been so long!



Of course we couldn't forget the selfie!

Next we had...









Tiana! I love Tiana! She is the princess I meet most often i believe.



We look great don't we!

On to the next...





Belle! My old friend's (The Beast) sweetheart.
We chatted a bit, it has been a while since I spent some time at their castle!



Finally....





Rapunzel!
She is exclusive to the Magic and Wonder, from what I hear!



Best day ever!
When I was done meeting them I headed up to to the balcony so I could get some "Ariel" (get it? She wasn't there though ) shots.







SUDDENLY!!!! I HEARD SOMEONE SAY... look it's Peter Pan.
WHERE IS HE???? I scanned the crowd! and I found him!
I ran down and got a selfie with him!



There was no one to take a normal picture, but I figured that I would see him again!
It was almost time to get off the ship and check out Nassau!

Chapter 11: Welcome to Atlantis

SO… previous to the trip my Mother had booked some wonderful trips for us!
While in Nassau we were scheduled to go to the “Atlantis” resort!
You know the one with the pyramid that they always show on TV!
So we were going to be going there for a tour then a beach day!
We met in Fathoms. Which is an adult cabaret place after dark.
During the day it just acts as a meeting place for tours.





It was pretty cool!
When we got there they announced that the weather was inclement and we had the option to drop our Beach day portion for a refund on that.
We opted to do that.
(The cool part of this was that if you wanted to get a full refund and not go to Atlantis at all you could, and they even added more activities on the ship because of the rain)
Anyways we decided to still tour Atlantis!



We had to wait for the bus.
After a short bus ride we were there!
We had a tour guide and the first thing we saw was this amazing sculpture!



it was very cool and is valued at $1,000,000!
Next we moved into the casino were there were three more $1,000,000 pieces!



This one was for the sun god!



This was for the moon god!



And this one… I don’t remember what it was for but its still pretty cool!
We then made our way to the Lobby!





The murals around the top tell the story of Atlantis





The art and décor was amazing at this place!
Now it was time for the cool part!
The commercials don’t show us this but there is an extensive underground aquarium at the resort!
It is designed to look like Atlantis after it was submerged. (According to the ancient writings)





Those are some the ancient tools they would have used in Atlantis





That is a conch! I mean I didn't realize there was an actual animal in those shells!
I learned something very interesting about conches! Did you know that they keep building on to their shells until it completely covers surrounds them and they die because they cannot get food! (The tour guide said that they trim this one's shell so that won't happen)







I think Jellyfish are soooooo cool!















These were scuba suits and a submarine! Because the legend says that Atlantis had invented subs and flying machines!

Chapter 12: More Pictures!

Here are more pictures from atlantis!


This was an ancient submarine!

Next we were moving on to the shark reef!
It is that pavilion off in the distance



But first we had to walk over to the reef!





Did you know that the thing that looks like a connecting bridge is actually a suite! Isn't that cool!

Chapter 13: Under Da Sea!

Here are some pictures from the predator tanks!









We were then at the end of the tour! The last thing we saw was the best!



Sea Turtles!!!!





Next we had lunch at the place called Virgils... it was at the atlantis!



It was nice!



To Drink I had Strawberry Lemonade and my mother had a raspberry iced tea!



My mother had a pulled pork sandwich to eat!



My Dad had a Brisket Sandwich!



And I had the pulled pork with coleslaw on top!

It was sooo goood!



We had these bracelets on so we were able to walk all around the resort. So thats what we did!



They have random tanks all over! SO cool!

The slide goes into a tank! Isn't that cool!!!









This resort is so cool!

Chapter 14: Formally Invited to the Disney Magic!

First some more pictures of the resort!





I would have loved to get closer but technically we weren't allowed on the beach! Those people worked at the resort!



More Sea Turtles!





Pretty cool!!
We decided to walk around the town of Nassau!



Apparently this is a great place to get diamonds because in the Bahamas there is no Sales Tax and No Duty!

We then went back to the ship, well my mother and myself. My father wanted to go to Graycliff which is a cigar and chocolate factory! When we got back on the ship one of our great friends.









And Of Course the Selfie!



Goofy was supposed to be on the top deck but he decided to come inside because of the rain.



We saw Mickey Dressed to the nines!
This was because it was semi formal night!
My mom and I decided to head back to the hotel room to change for the formal dinner! (This is optional we decided to do it)
Look what was on TV!







TEEN BEACH MOVIE!! I love this movie!
After my Dad returned we decided to go to the atrium to meet our friends in their formal wear!



Minnie was First!

Next was the boss!







I didn't get a selfie with Mickey!
We then had to head to dinner!
This was my favorite restaurant, I cannot wait to share!
