My husband and I went to Ohana for a date night while the kids were at Pixar Play Zone.

We arrived at 6:25 for our 6:35 dinner reservation. Since we were a little early, we went to the lounge for a lapu lapu and a smoked turkey. We ordered our drinks (which were strong and delicious) and we received the text at 6:30 that our table was ready.

Our server was a mess, but that made my DH and I giggle. He was forgetful and difficult to understand and slow as molasses, but super sweet and kind. The experience just gave my husband and me more time to enjoy one another's company. We really do like each other, and it's always nice to enjoy a moment to focus on one another without the kids.

The food was delicious. The shrimp, potstickers and bread pudding were my favorites. The decor was gorgeous. The drinks were potent. We had a great time.

I would like to thank so many on the boards for recommending Ohana.

I’m glad you got good drinks! We were there about a week ago and our drinks were not potent or delicious. We had the same problem in September and will be skittish about ordering booze there again.

We did enjoy everything else—the food, ambiance, service, entertainment—all were great, but not the drinks.

Sorry about the drink situation, because they're not inexpensive. I am happy that you enjoyed your meal.

Sonya, Ohana has been a family favorite for years. The drinks were part of why we loved it, but the last two trips, our cocktails were poorly prepared.

We got Lapu Lapu’s, and they were so disappointing. Too sweet and we couldn’t taste any alcohol. It was like trying to drink a huge glass of kiddie punch.

Really, it’s a shame that their bar went so downhill in our experience.

The bar at Ohana has the BEST pina coladas- my DH has tried to order from various locations in the country and not one has measured up.

We’ve been there a couple times for dinner. Food was great both times but service was great one time and bad the other.

Yes...their Pina Coladas are pretty good! We love Ohana's but our last dinner meal there was a little disappointing. The shrimp was burnt and the steak was raw (barely cooked). We will go back because we do enjoy both breakfast and dinner there.

'Ohana is one of our favorite restaurants at Disney. We have been offered rare steak - which dh loves, but I prefer med. rare. I ask for it that way and they come back with my preference. You do not have to accept it any one way. They realize people have different preferences.

As for the shrimp, ask for another 'go around' that is not burned. We've never had that issue, but if we do, we'll ask for different. Dh does love his shrimp! My favorite is the chicken, but I will not accept it dried out.

Give it another try!! And don't accept what you do not enjoy, but ask for your preference! :)

We will absolutely give it another try. I will be more aware next time because honestly this is the first time we've had sub-par food served to us. I know you can ask for more but I was full anyway so I didn't bother. I only noticed something was very wrong with the steak when I put in my mouth and it was cold and I could not chew it. After one shrimp I was done. Wanted to leave room for dessert.

Our dinner last time was very disappointing The meats and shrimp were dry and they have the servers way over extended. We used to love it. We booked breakfast this next trip but not dinner. Maybe we will try it in 2019 - will wait and see how the reviews are then. Hopefully breakfast will be yummy!

I'm so excited . . . I just want to share! I finally scored a 'Ohana reservation for 7/15 at 5:45 pm. I have been stalking the reservation site all day everyday for a month and had only been able to get a 9:50 pm one, which is way too late to eat dinner in my opinion. So this new one is at the perfect time! Happy Birthday to me!!!
