October Pre & Trip reports

Tried to post earlier but I couldn’t get on the website for some reason this morning. Anyway, got up at a little after eight and saw a text message that our site 2049 was ready so I got ready, waited an hour and a half on the wife to get made up and made it out to the Fort and got everything set up. After a bite at PJs we went to MK where the wife is still exploring there as we speak, as I contemplate renting a pontoon boat in a little while. Anyone who wants to stop by to see the site is more than welcome to. I should be back in a few hours. Hope to see you all soon!

Getting ready for the beach bash...

Disneypeach, you're just a few sites down from us ... I've seen your sign outside. We're over in 212. We're rope droppers and pretty much go all day so we haven't been around the site much.

Rope dropped HS today, rode TSMM 3 times standby with no wait before our Slinky Dog fastpass. Got back to the Fort to see the food truck and the folks starting to come in already for 10/30 festivities. Definitely felt the electricity a bit more around the Settlement this afternoon. We've got dinner at the Yachtsman tonight so we won't be around. Early rope drop for Epcot 10/31, but we'll be back early to set-up for Trick/Treating.

Our decorations can't compare to the amazing set-ups we've seen ... but for the folks at the Fort look for the big green mickey lit up on the front of the Brocktoon mobile (site 212). We've got a ton of candy for the kids, and while supplies last I may have some beer for the adult DISers.

Thinking @Flametamr may be around here somewhere since his loop is right behind us- whenever we ride our bikes past here it’s normally pretty late so we still haven’t had a chance to say hi

PS - I was with my dad last night at a church function and said, "Do you know where we were a year ago tonight"? He was my co-pilot last year on my one-and-only FW Halloween trip. (He remembered).

I remember you posting when you were down here last year! We just got back from the parade- I’ll post some pictures now before we head to the beach bash!

When we were there in September, I noticed a few people had rented pontoons for the evening to which fireworks from MK.

Well it's our last full day and we enjoyed have a Fort day. Enjoyed just relaxing at our campsite and having a little fun with our furry neighbors. We did do a little fishing and looping but that was basically it until the cart parade. We did Toy Story Mania. There were a lot of awesome carts. We had a lot of fun.

After the cart parade we ordered diner from the food truck which was by the Settlement for the Halloween festivities. We checked out the pumpkins then head back to our site for the evening. Sitting here enjoying the campfire dreading tomorrow when we pack up and head back to reality.

Having fun at the beach bash and had to stop to get some grub as we hadn’t had any supper yet. Got the 8 pc dinner at PJs. Guess what my favorite part of that meal was?!??

I was right by you Serenitygr and didn't know it. We were about 75 feet from the loop entrance.

Here’s the rest of our golf cart parade pictures! There were many more really cute and creative ones but I’m not quite fast enough to get pictures of each one when they’re moving

Beach party was fun- mostly we enjoyed seeing the carved pumpkins ( amazing talent) and just relaxing at the beach watching the movie and fireworks. We didn’t do any of the games but wAtched a couple of them- lots of activities and fun music!
After the fireworks we came back to have a snack and let the dogs play a bit- then the kids and I went bike riding to see a few loops. Now we’re all home at the camper ready for bed...

@tltay2005 not sure how early you’re heading out tomorrow but we’re going to try to ride our bikes over there before 10 and hopefully get to say hi before you go... same with @Flametamr - you guys are just leaving way to quickly!

Going on 6 PM and we're got our tables and chairs set up for trick/treating. The WiFi is semi-decent so I'm just hanging outside checking the Disboards while my laptop battery co-operates.

Great to meet you Brocktoon! Fun talking while the trick or treaters were coming by. I just ran out of candy...had 40 pounds so we had a lot of kids on our loop tonight.
