October Pre & Trip reports

Today we had a lazy morning at our campsite. Did not do much after our morning ride. Around noon our DS drove over and went to HS with us. Did Alien Spin, RnRC and TofT, oh and had ice cream . Park was busy, but we just did our fast pass rides and then headed back to the Fort. Our bus stop at HS is the last one in the bus loop, it's quite a hike. Hoping after all the construction is done it won't be so bad.

Thanks to tiggerdad, Michael, for stopping by for a visit. It was nice to meet you and your wife. Enjoyed talking to you both and look forward to when we may actually get to camp at the same time.

Michael we are in 710. We have been on the road and just catching up on Dis and it sounds like you were at the fort this afternoon and would not need a taxi. if you change plans to come this evening give me a call. Safe trip home.

Ah man!

Hate we missed you Ken. We'll have to keep trying. We pull out early in the morning headed home.

Take care man, and have a great time.

Oh yeah, in the 500 loop, more specifically, the 501 site I saw a Mickey lamp. Well, actually not a "Mickey" lamp, but more sort of...

Interesting change on the idea. Guy told me his mother has a Mickey lamp and he wanted to have something different. Looks good to me.

@tiggerdad Sorry we missed ya. We left a little early to poop a little and hang out by Pioneer Hall before we went to the Return to Sleepy Hollow event. Maybe we will meet up next time.

After the movie we looped for the rest of the night and saw most of the sites of the DISers that have posted in this thread. The sites all looked great. We check out tomorrow, only to return Tuesday to enjoy the Halloween Eve activities. Can’t wait! Now come the pictures.

Oh yeah, I frickin love Sour Skittles!! And it was what I got the most of in my bag!! Luuuccckkkyyyyyy..

Looks like everyone is having a grand time. I am very impatiently waiting until my trip next year and all your posts are making me homesick!

I love Fort Wilderness October Trip Reports! I mean to tell you, they are always the best. Thank you all so much.

Boo to You parade last night: absolutely a blast! Walk on rides- front row seats for parade and fireworks just 30 minutes before right on Main Street- tons of candy- even timed it so we were riding Big Thunder during the fireworks: it simply was perfect!

Well, we were around the Fort from about 1pm until about an hour ago. @Flametamr was kind enough to leave me access to his golfcart to use around the Fort. We toured the whole place over. I went by everyone's site. Saw @serenitygr and her family including several small dogs with painted toes, a pair of lizards, and a fluffy dog named Peaches that sounded like she wanted to chew on some stranger's legs. Namely mine. Cute dog though, awfully shiny teeth though...

Great visit Melissa and Joe. Enjoy the rest of your stay.

On the second trip through we met @tltay2005 and her husband. Very nice folks, and a great site backed up to the canal. Appreciate the hospitality.
We went by sites 2035 (@KornBred ), 1021 (@JETS70 ) but didn't see anyone around. Maybe on a next visit.

We toured all the loops and stopped for snack and Coke at the Meadows. Out front was a pumpkin patch display.

Tiggerdad: it was so great seeing you both again yesterday- funny how 3 years can seem like just days in some ways Remember to message me a phone number so we can keep in touch about those Minnesota puppies :jumping1:

Serenitygr, check your site marker, we came by this morning.
We found it! Thank you so much- the kids loved it as well- two of them are big pin collectors so that was extra cool for them- really a nice thing to do! I’m sorry we missed you guys this morning- after the Halloween party last night we had a pretty late sleeping morning :faint:

We’ve spent the day getting set up and decorating- joe is putting the traveling firepit together now. Other than a few things we need batteries for I think we’re finally done! Just sitting at the camper now listening to the sing along- then we’ll be watching the Pooh movie tonight and doing a little bike riding- looking forward to the next couple days of Halloween!

We went for our early morning ride then had a lazy morning at camp where we had some fun with our furry neighbors. Headed to the MK around 1:00, rode three coasters in three hours (thanks to fast passes), had some lunch ( love the mobile ordering ap) then headed back to the Fort. Did some looping and exploring the Fort and then some fishing. Back to camp for dinner and a fire and now settling in for the night.

Puppies...yeah...

I'll get you for that one. First thing my DIRECTIONALLY challenged wife told the kids when we got home was that Melissa might have a puppy for us to add to the household.

Glad you enjoyed Halloween party. I remember it was pretty fun last time we got to go.

We are now back in real world. Record trip for us. Only took 10 hours. That's about an hour shorter trip. Funny how it goes when you aren't pulling a trailer.

Pluto67 Have you been on the road since CC at RR all day that is one long haul nearly 700 miles by count.
No ,was on the road then checking in and setting up and picking up K-Cart then had a resi at TE before i saw michaels post about early arrival to the fort, just a short version was posted. You know how that goes, nothing goes as planed. Just did a 1100 mile drive to the Fort. Sorry for the confusion.
