New Years Eve at Disney Paris?

Will I be able to see the castle and the fireworks show from the Studios?
What happens if I have the ticket to the Park for the day and I don’t leave it by 6:30pm, will I be forced to leave by someone is there a fine for that?

I haven't been to a ticketed event in DLP for years. But after googling, it says the party starts at 8, so they are going to clear the park in between.

Hypothetical situation if they didn't close the park in between: you probably won't be able to ride rides, shop or eat and as they clear lands (by checking at each land entrance) you would be confined to standing at the hub. They would ask you to leave, when they check your ticket. If you don't, you might get escorted out by security.

You might see the fireworks, depending on where you stand outside the park, but the castle show will be blocked by the hotel.
If you are in the studios, maybe they will do some little show there, but we won't know until they release the party program.

If it's fireworks in general you want to see, maybe locals will have fireworks as well. It's legal in many European countries to use fireworks on NYE, so maybe it's not a show per se, but it could be there is plenty of fireworks set off by individuals.

Well, from my experience on the 2019-2020 NYE party, as Karin1984 says the party starts at 8, but the park "closes" at 18:30; however, party ticket holders may enter the park starting at 17:00.

What this means is: After 18:30 if you don't have the party wristband, you won't be able to ride anything, shop or eat, as they ask to show the wristbands before getting on any line. That day, a lot of people stayed in Main Street USA and the central hub without the wristband until the NYE show... but taking into account how cold Paris is this time of year, I would NOT advise it. Also, they did have a showing of "Illuminations" at 18:00 that day.

If the Studios park is closing at 00:30 that day, then they'll probably have a NYE countdown and fireworks show using the projections over the HTH tower, so you'll have a NYE fireworks also. That year (2019-2020), they allowed every guest with a standard ticket to DLP and no party ticket, to jump over to the studios after 18:30 to welcome the new year on the Studios park. I'm guessing this was to encourage people to leave DLPark as they were in fact converting your ticket to a park hopper after that time.

As for fines, I highly doubt it. As Karin mentions, the worst thing that can happen is that security escorts you out. However, this is something I didn't see happen on 2019, but it becomes very very unpleasant to not be able to shop, eat, or ride anything. You can only literally sit around and wait... for around 6 hours... until the NYE show starts.

I've just seen that these tickets are non refundable and if your from the UK it now seems your screwed as the border is now closed. SLP. DLP Twitter just said no refunds for UK visitors for the NYE event.

Disneyland Paris just announced ALL bookings and tickets (including NYE parties) will be refunded if you are affected by "reasons beyond our control" (which includes "travel restrictions and quarantine measures required by authorities"):

I have to admit this gives me some reassurance. I'm travelling from Spain and my D day for cancellation is December 23rd.

Even though I highly doubt they'll close borders with Spain (mainly because there are a lot of cross-country family travels during these holidays between Spain and France, and Spain is actually doing a lot better than many other countries). The biggest risk is Disneyland closing, in which case a refung will be given (even though "when" might be the issue, heheh).

On another note, they also just released the Menus for all the Christmas Eve and NYE dinners:

Thanks for the update, it's a shame the UK is being made a political football for more votes and EU kicking. However seeing the huge numbers of hospitalisations in France and Germany compared to UK I have a feeling Jan / Feb won't be great at DLP.

OFFICIAL - The New Year's Eve party has been cancelled by Disneyland Paris. Instead, the park will open until 1 am for everyone with special shows, meet and greets and shows. All tickets will be refunded. Walt Disney Studios park will open until 12:30 am.

We will be there tomorrow! Our first Disney experience outside of the states. Looking forward to ringing in the new year at DLP!

Bumping this thread for 2022. My family and I (2 adults, 2 boys 12 and 6) will be flying back to the US from Paris on January 1st and with comments like "OUT OF THIS EARTH" describing past events we have decided to go to Disneyland Paris' NYE party.

We are going to purchase just the NYE party ticket - not tickets for the park that day. Just want to make sure I am reading this statement on the website ticket page correctly -- that we will be able to enter after 5:30 PM, even though the NYE event starts at 8:30 PM:
Disney New Year’s Eve Party ticket gives you access to the Disneyland Park on 31 December 2022 from 8:30pm to 2am. Early access to Disneyland Park starts at 5:30pm for those with valid tickets to this special evening.

Also any other tips for NYE are appreciated. We are actually starting the day a few hours from Paris and will still have a rental car, so planning to drive to the park and head to a CDG airport hotel after midnight.

Looks like we'll be doing the NYE party as well! Trying to figure out how to make a hotel-only reservation at DLP since all I see on the website are packages with day tickets included.

You cannot do this on the DLP website. This option doesn't exist, so you can stop looking.

You have to go via booking platforms like booking.com, hotels.com, trivago.con, and then you can buy your tickets separately. But do the math, it can save money, but not necessarily a lot.

Yeah, thank you. I figured that out from one of your other posts elsewhere. We're going to go directly with Disney and bundle in the NYE tickets so that it's all covered by the ZEN policy just in case! Now just need to decide where to stay, will be there 31 to Jan 2. I feel like Sequoia will feel more Christmassy but that's the one hotel we've already stayed at. I like the prices of Cheyenne and Santa Fe but not sure about the rooms. Would love the Davy Crockett Ranch because the four of us could spread out and it's not too pricey, but then we'll need a car.

We'll be coming from Strasbourg, FR the morning of the 31st so maybe we'll rent a car and keep it through the DLP stay. Or if we decide on the train, it'll be one of the other three hotels. Will try to make the decision that in order to still get some dining bookings in before the 60 day mark!

Hi folks. I’m seriously thinking of getting tickets for this years NYE party,(2 adults & 1 13 year old boy) but I’m just a bit concerned on just how busy the crowds are.
Obviously prepared for it being busy but is it really excessive or just a very busy day type crowds ?
As for getting on rides before midnight, again what sort of lines are we looking at ? Really excessive or busy but manageable?

If we decide not to go, I’ve read that they also do fireworks at Lake Disney, does anyone know if they are doing that again this year ?

Thanks for any help/advice.
