Glad you'll be with us Buggie. As to how we picked this route and date -- this will be our 3rd cruise on the Magic. Our whole family gets together once a year to vacation and cruising is so easy for the 9 of us. The 1st cruise we did back in May '99 (4-day WDW/3-day cruise). We loved the cruise more than WDW and said we'd do a 7-day if Disney ever decided to do so. When we heard Disney was going to do a 7-day cruise we booked for May 2002 (Eastern). We loved the 7-day even more and we decided that we'd like to book the 7-day Western. We did book while aboard -- to get the $200 per stateroom credit -- but because 2004 was not yet opened for bookings, at the CM's suggestion, we booked for July 2003 and then when the 2004 bookings opened up we rebooked. How we arrived at the date -- well, we really wanted a Cat. 2 (they are awesome!!!) and when we got home I sent a letter to Inventory Control requesting a Cat. 2 in place of the Cat. 4 which was originally booked for us. I just said we wanted to do the Western cruise and that any date between mid-June and mid-August 2004 would be fine. If you want a Cat. 2 you can't really be picky about the sailing date. So, when I heard the 2004 bookings were to open on Dec. 30, 2002, and I hadn't heard from Disney, I called and was informed that we got the Cat. 2 for June 19. We're kind of stuck with vacationing during summer months since my oldest ds is in high school now and he would miss too much in one week and my brother's daughter's spring break is always the last week of March (regardless of when Easter falls) so hence sailing in the summer. I know it will be hot but probably not as hot as July or August. I'll find out how hot it is in August since we're sailing on the Voyager of the Seas this August.
