Aww im so glad I could be a part of the inspiration for a disney cruise wedding they are seriously the best and that is so awesome that it will be 10 days later that works out so great! So you must share all your plans thus far wedding favor bags, what you choose in your planning guide, etc! It will be great to bounce ideas off each other and our weddings aren't that far apart! And the Dream will be a beautiful boat to get married on

You're so sweet. There isn't much to choose from. I'm kinda liking it I am going to post pics soon of the bustier and skirt I'm going to have for my dress. I am suppose to get my wedding dress (the 14th) today so I'll post pics of that.

OK i got some rough pictures. Here is my veil.


I bought the Tangled flowers, veil and ring from the Disney Store for $15 LOL I then bought another veil and I am going to spray an adhesive on one so the Tangled one sticks to it. Then I am going to embroidery the E in the sun logo and put the outline of mickey heads in white I think. This is a mock up. It was done on another veil and then pinned on. Same with the Mickey heads

This is the tiara that my daughter bought at WDW when we went in December. I just LOVED the Mickey head so I had to use it.



Then this is the rough draft of the dress. I bought the bustier from White House Black market for $50. Then my Mom already had the Organza (I think thats the name of the material). I keep flipping back and forth from a T-length skirt and a full length skirt. I am thinking the full will be better. We got the under skirt (what you see that is white under it) at Goodwill for $15



And this is the lace from my Mom's dress. We are going to make it into points to hang over the Organza.

I am really loving that corset from the black and white market you are so lucky that you can make your own dress that is some serious talent and the mocks are looking great and i LOVE the tangled veils such a romantic movie glad its all coming together!

Thanks so much! My mom is the seamstress. I can sew, but I just dont enjoy it. Mom has been sewing since she was a little girl. I look at the lace that we are working on and think "how on earth are you going to get it to do what you want it to" but Im sure she will! She always does.

I love the idea Mom had of putting our last initial in the middle of the sun. She saw it somewhere. I keep worrying that it wont show up, but I think it will.

I think we have decided to have the wedding on Castaway Cay now. David loves the beach and I thought, why not get married on a beach! He loved the idea! I am just happy that we can combine our two loves in the wedding. Im just worried the wedding will take so much time of castaway cay day that he wont be able to enjoy it.

Well your mom is really talanted too and I am sure she will get it to look so great! You will have to make sure to post pictures along the way so we can see the progress and I love the idea of your last intial in the tangled sun that will look great and I think a Castway Cay wedding would be great the only bummer is it is a little less private and at 10:00am and so it does kind of take a chunk out your day but alot of people LOVE it their are some great TRs for castway cay weddings and that would be a great compromise for you guys I am sure it will work at perfectly

I love what you and your mom are doing with your dress and veil design! That black bustier is gorgeous and the finished dress will be so striking I think!!!!

It sounds like the cruise wedding you have planned will be perfect for you and nice and relaxing...

Tbh I find that the black yes makes the lace show up but because of the length of the lace part, it's a little on the French maid look. I think that an entire white bottom is more bride-like. It's only my opinion.

No no! Opinions are what I want! It will help me make a decision! Lol but sure a but more background would probably help!

This is my second wedding. My husband died in a car wreck. So I am wanting to go less traditional. I have seen black and white wedding gowns and LOVE them. I am a black and white freak. Yes, this is ecru, not white. So it might help to know I'm not trying to go traditional and also the lace placement will be different. I like the swooping effect. I just couldn't pin it that way. Part of the cons of making your own dress lol

Well, I changed my mind......YES! AGAIN! LOL

I was thinking about how my sister's family couldnt come to the wedding because of her kids school and how it will be hard for David's parents to come since he might be getting a job soon and then asking off would be hard. Then I kept thinking about how each state is different on their marriage rules so we have decided to just get married in TN Feb 14th like originally planned and then get married on the ship. When you get married on the ship, you technically get married before you leave the dock anyway so this wont be any different. I will just get married 9 days before the cruise leaves and get married in the state I live in!

So! Now I am planning a cruise wedding! Which really fits me better. I would rather go on a cruise than to go to the parks anyway. Dont get me wrong, I LOVE the parks and cant wait to show David them through my eyes (he's been before but never with a Disney nut!) but cruises are my preferences. I am going to hate the short cruise, but I think weddings/honeymoons need to be concierge. I couldnt afford a concierge and a wedding on a 7 night. LOL!

Anyway, so my plan is to get the photography package that is almost $1,000 because you get 30 5x7 pics, 30 8x10 pics and a 5x7 photo album and a 8x10 photo album, 25 wedding invitations and a cd of ALL the pics! Excellent! I might even add on an additional hour. I am trying to get my wedding coordinator to get back to me about how much time you are allotted with the photographer.

So I have booked the wedding now. They say it should be Nassau day, the next day after the cruise leaves and that is great because then the rest of the cruise is ours. No planning. There is a girl on our cruise that is getting married at Nassau. So we will be married on the same day! Too cool right?
