I hated to see them leave that flag out just to be destroyed for shock value.Spent way too much time today watching Florence shred a US flag off the coast of the North Carolina.

I have been constantly worried about the weather for my upcoming trip like crazy!! I don’t mind a little rain but a hurricane just sounds so scary to me! I’ll be there for the first time in years the first week of October. So I’ll be watching this like crazy! Fingers and toes crossed that Florida stays safe and those being hit by these storms stay safe.
Thank you so much! There's no hurricane threatening FL at all! Isaac was no where near, and Florence is at our NC southern border as I type. Our southern coastal cities are taking a beating. We are having gusty winds in Raleigh, but not forecast to be over 50mph.
Anyhow, just sayin'-----------All the talk for those Disney bound was just wondering about traveling through this area affected (air & road), not 'in' FL . Enjoy your trip!!
I hope not....we arrive October 14The next 2 weeks for FL and people going to Disney World look to be just fine. No problems at all.
We have to be on guard here in FL the first 2-3 weeks of October. NOT saying there will be any storms, but some of the long range models are predicting there might be a slight uptick in activity in the Gulf Of Mexico during the first 2 weeks of October.
The reason we need to be on alert is because, normally the month of October is when FL gets hit the most. Storms form in the Caribbean or Gulf and could be pushed across the state of FL.
By the end of Sept we should have a good handle on what will be coming (if any) the first 2 weeks of October.

Looks like Isaac is now dead! YAY!
Well I am completely worried now. I am there Oct 8th to Oct 20th. Hope the models are wrong.
When will we know if something will or will not develop for the first week of October?
