Favorite Songs that most people have probably never heard of

LOVE that song!

I was going to ask if you were from Buffalo and then saw your location :thumbsup2

I love that song, too!!!

My favorite song that nobody knows is P.A.S.S.I.O.N. by a band called Rythm Syndicate (yes, the misspelling is correct... that sounds weird. LOL.) It was hugely popular circa 1990 and NOBODY I know knows this song. I flippin' LOVE it and it's not available anywhere.

I remember that song! Reminds me of Beverly Hills 90210 (the original, obviously)!

Unless you lived in Pittsburgh or the Ohio Valley in the early 80s, you probably don't know the song Ah! Leah! by Donnie Iris. Excellent power pop/New Wave song that always takes me back to my high school days when I hear it.

That was popular where I grew up in the South and I still love it.

Another one is New Orleans Ladies by Louisiana LeRoux.

"When You Go" and "Big Bad World One" - Jonathan Coulton
"Don't Let the Truth Get in the Way (of a Good Story)" and "Floating the Flambeau" - Gaelic Storm
"Quiddich" - Black Ship Sky

Glad to hear so many people know it and like it. It didn't get very high on the top 40 charts (#29 according to this), but it's one of those songs that sticks with you if you've ever heard it.

Everything Touches Everything - These United States

Oh Babe What Would You Say - Hurricane Smith

Road to Hell - Chris Rea

Happy When it Rains - Jesus and Mary Chain (not that uncommon, but rarely run into people who've heard it).

Wishing the Days Away - Billy Bragg

You Dirty Rat - Scruffy the Cat

I'm a Man you don't Meet Everyday and Summer in Siam and Fiesta- The Pogues (actually love almost all Pogues songs and seems like no one ever
knows them).

And then there's all the Bob Dylan songs I love (Don't Think Twice, It's Alright, Desolation Row, Tangled up in Blue, I'll Remember You, Queen Jane Aproximately...). If you like Bob Dylan, you've heard them. If not, you probably haven't.

I know there are tons more, but I'll stop now. :)

I love Scruffy the Cat. What's the one.. Bucknaked?

I was always shocked that Moons of Jupiter didn't become a better selling album. I always thought it had a sound that would cross markets, but no...
