she requested "Swedish Fish"!

Thats it, now I need to figure out what that is!

Swedish Fish is red gummy candy, I think.

Congrats on the full time gig.

Well I'll start stocking up.

Trust me, when you take treats to one kid in a drum corps, you had better have enough for all of them! :rotfl2:

Some of the bulk candy retailers will sell them to you by the pound. Tiggr33 says CostCo sells them in a 4 pound (?) bag.

This thread popped up at the top of the board and I had to say hi!!
I didn't do drum corps but did HS stuff (I know I know not the same!) but we had a band director who marched with the blue devils and made it a point to go to shows when they came though Indiana. His daughters both marched with them recently!
I was mainly in guard (which is a big deal in Indiana) and went to WGI stuff all the time, I would have LOVED to continue with guard but art school was calling :)

here you guys go

perry, OH
it rained.
Marlee, Katy and I stood on the sidelines during the debut but i got to atleast put on a uniform and do pre show stuff.
we ran it sucked but i didn't walk!
the janitor here totally thought I was a dude when i went into the girls bathroom and that was funny.
annapolis, MD
Blandenburg HS.
It was my birthday.
this field really sucked and it was covered in dust.
this school kind of reminded me of a prison and the insides were covered with graffiti.
we got yelled at a lot by random high school kids getting off the public transportation.
most people almost died from inhilation of dust.
the water was pretty gross but my aunt/mom had two cakes shipped in and we had cake for snack because it was my birthday.
this is where anita fell in the shower and the gay dudes got in trouble for showering with the girls.
at the show i saw carmel.
also we did that dumb like play the national anthem bull.
i got kats number from my friend erica and we started talking.
also i cut my back open when i was bus loading.
i probably needed stitches but we didnt have time so we just uh. wrapped it up and i kept bus loading.
i still have a scar.
pittsburgh, PA
Rostraven MS
The gym was really small and really hot. some people slept on the stage.
The field however was really nice and i got to spend the day with a dude who fixed instruments.
He taught me how to do different things with the brass instruments and i had to be a runner carrying instruments back and fourth between the hornline and this dude.
It was nice to be in the air conditioning all day.
at the show i saw jordan and we had trouble with the props.
Steph got mad and also there was an encore that i didnt get to do.
also someone stole my member shirt as we fought (again) about how to put away the scaffolding.
Fairfield, OH
my family came to see me.
the showers were feffing cold for two days straight.
there were two fields but both of them sucked. also we went to another field to practice and then i stayed over there to learn drill.
the colorguard supremes came with me but they got in trouble because apparently the caption head thought they werent doing anything even though they were.
we got a little free time here and some peopel went to waffle house and i went to the gas station and bought snacks and energy drinks. lizz came in drunk and told us all to go to bed and someone to her to shut the eff up..
at the show we watched madison and they were a tradgedy.
southwind was okay and i yelled for taylor.
the alternates still freaked out about getting in trouble.
my dad brought me south park and ale-8's for a late birthday present
Decature, IN
We stayed at Carmel.
We ran.
we did laundry.
i searched and searched for carmel stuff to steal but i couldnt find any.
i broke up with ashley and talked to kat more.
we slept in a chorus room where the lights didnt really turn all the way off.
it was lame.
one day we ate barbeque and i didnt have any.
one day it rained and we got tomato soup and grilled cheese.
the gym class made fun of us.
the walk from the stadium to the school was too effing far and we didn thave much time to relax.
we couldnt find the right showers.
this place basically sucked.
also during laundry i walked really far for energy drink and a walgreen.
Toldedo, OH
i dont remember the housing site.
at the show we saw the troopers warming up and we hooted and hollered for them because they were awesome having a full horn line. i had no idea i would be wearing that uniform at the end of the season.
thomas told me i was an idiot and i got pissed at him.
the field was so awesome and it was like marching (walking) on amazing carpet.
me and briana just felt that this show was awesome and the energy was really there.
ish and them left the effing scaffolding again and it was stupid.
however smalls beasted that thing up the hill.
there was a taco bell near this show and i ran into taylor/jordan .
Lisle, IL
we stayed at marian catholic the first day of chicago three day event for a rehersal day and it was so nasty but we got to listen to the tapes from the show which was awesome
because the hornline raped everyone else.
also i started switching in and out with thomas which was eh.
i did okay i think.
the techs noticed that i wanted it but i started to realize that it just wasnt going to happen for me.
also there was a huge jesus in the gym that freaked me out.
i dont really remember the show.
After that we had two rehersal days at EIU where we did a clinic.
this was terrible because no one told us we were going to stay in dorms so we had to do check in and stuff at 4 in the morning and it sucked a lot.
it was nice to have a bed however.
the walk to the field was really far and that was lame.
the clinic was pretty cool.
there were a lot of bandos there and they really looked up to us.
we all had to play by ourselves.
i did pourly.
also eric got in trouble for mooning some old ladies.
they turned the lights off on us.
the visual techs spent a lot of time dicking around and tackling this dummy thing.
i triped over the track and fell on my face.
the floor captians didnt wake a lot of people up and troye and david got in trouble.
i switched in and out a lot more.
basics here were really really hard and i wanted to cry.
we made a lot of jokes about boo boo kitty face because it wasnt really pretty outside.
i sat outside and talked to scott about how gay dudes
BOA Summer Symposium
Our housing site sucked.
The water was so hot that we couldnt even stand in the showers.
there was a sign outside the gym that said no handicapped people allowed.
that was amusing.
this is where brewster really messed up the lines on the colorguard field.
This is also where rob went home.
no one really knew why.
i spent most of the day walking around and talking to the colorguard alternates about how stupid geoff is.
then we went to the clinics and they were okay.
it was cool getting to do the BOA kids thing because i knew some peopel there.
Also i saw my favorite swags.
at the show i got to hang out with kelsey, macy, andrew, and...someone else?
i dont remember.
i saw all my old swags which was awesome.
ish left the effing scaffolding on the field and i had to push it back again.
it was a fiasco.
some awesome woman from the disboards brought me sweedish fish and mountain dew which bascially made my life.
it brought back a whole lot of really good memories being back there but at the same time it was really hard to see those people and then have to move on.
Kalamazooo, MI
I dont remember the housing site at all.
however at the show i remember that this was the first show that i saw the colt cadets.
they played blink 182 and dave matthews band.
i got dairy queen before the show started and also bought the awesome yuka shirt.
after the show i got jimmy johns but then effing the visual crew left the ladders on the field during the blue devils show and their encore.
it was pretty funny.
this is where julia left us.
it was her last show.
also i ran into stu at jimmy johns and met some cool seattle cascades kids who i talked to the next day.
port huron, MI
Port Huron North, HS
this school is where the janitor was awesome and let us take like everything from the lost and found.
it was also really really effing cold.
we shared a housing site with the cascades and they really blew.
however their truck was the old star of indiana truck and that was pretty cool.
basically everything about this place sucked except i think there was a subway and before the show i ate there.
also this is where we ordered member jackets and i talked to joe bietman for the first real time.
about my girl friend and how i felt about her and stuff.
he is a cool dude and he let me talk to him before i had to load the bus
centerville, OH
centerville HS
eff
we got here and we were going to get to sleep in and the gym was huge and cold and dark but then they were roofing.
how very lame.
my parents came to this show and brought me more ale-8's and snacks.
we did really lame backwards basics really really really fast which was stupid because the field was very bad.
we did a clinic here and the video is now on you-tube.
i hung out with zac and jarvis and julia and it was cool.
they all were haters though and had cavaliers stuff on but we beat the effing cavaliers and everyone else for that matter and it was awesome.
we had a crazy awesome bus party to bellbrook which was about 10 minutes away.
when we got there rick walked around naked.
Bellbrook, OH
Bellbrook HS
today was a rehersal day.
the worst one ever
there were no visual techs to help us so like mike york and steve and ish were in charge and we spent all morning on stupid visuals that didnt do anything and eventually got taken out of the show.
then we moved to an even worse field where the grass came up to my ***** and then we left around 6.
this is where paul found that huge shirt and also we couldnt find the showers it was like a science fair effing project.
bellbrooks percussion was practicing and they werent that bad.
also we got pizza and soda (my chorus did) because we kicked everyone elses butt at i think it was probably the c3 exercise stuff.
i dont remember.
we watched movies and went to bed around midnight.
the drive was long
Chicago, IL
We stayed at some middle school.
i saw zacks ***** it was the first one i had ever seen in my entire life.
it was gross.
also this is when the new tenor guy showed up and he was really good.
also i spent about 400 years on the phone with kat as she told me stories about her life and everything that has happened in it and on and i layed in the grass and listened to her.
the next day we did parades and i got terrible blisters from the dinkles.
i never knew that people started parades so late in the afternoon.
we ended up doing 4 parades that day.
me and lizz had a cool conversation and she was like.
you remind me of me.
autumn leaves was so cool to play for all the people.
however i wanted to kill everyone that was like play more songs play more blah blah.
they were stupid.
also it was really hot.
also there was like a gangster step group.
we went to eat at bdubs that night and everyone got drunk but me.
the next day we got a free day in chicago.
we played pimp off on the way over there because brian dutton was already drunk.
my seat partner walked up to the front of the bus and goes "The only thing loser than brian duttons mouth is amy reeses vag".
That made my life and is still the quote of the summer.
and i walked around looking for somewhere to get a tattoo.
didnt find anywhere.
i made out with scott.
weird.
hes gay.
also we bought porn and looked at it in chicago and we ate at the california pizza kitchen with martin and someone else.
it was delicious.
scott threw up.
that was funny.
most everyone else went to see transformers.
but i didnt.
im too cool for that stuff.
that night we partied on the bus.
michigan city, IN
there was a dairy queen and this was the cavaliers home show.
they had an alumni corps.
also there was a really cool super market where i got gatorade and stuff.
i dont remember the housing site at all.
massillon, OH
this was our home show.
i dont remember where we stayed but we showered at the pro bowl hall of fame again and they effing left the scaffolding on the field again and katy and i had to push it all the way up that dumb hill all by ourselves.
we beasted that thing though.
we didnt have lunch,
we had snack and it was gross.
but we got mail.
i got a towel from someone from the dis boards and kat sent me a letter.
i read it about 23420938409 times because it was cool to get mail from someone who wasnt my mom or my aunt.
it was really hot practicing on the field because of the astroturf.
i sat back field and lauhed because marlee had 2038403 letters from her best friend and i decided that they were really lesbians.
the show we won brass for the 8 millionth time and joe and i walked and watched the hornline warm up and we had a talk and it was cool because joe is awesome.
also this is when the track jackets came in and everyone freaked out
allentown, PA
i dont remember the housing site.
however i remember that i saw bones.
the bathrooms were hard to find.
i spent a lot of time sitting on a hill with my ipod in drumming and watching the shows.
i sat with marlee and watched blue knights and i thought they were really boring.
we were good that night and briana had sex with her boyfriend.
snack was good i think.
this day is really fuzzy.
blandenburg, hs
we were back.
this was arguably the worst effing day of my life and on tour.
eric humbert sprained his ankle on the ****ty field.
we had effing perogies, again (which is the nastiest effing food on the face of the planet).
about everyone in the corps got something stolen from them,
a dude in the color guard showed up for a day and then just quit.
i would have quit that day too.
the colorguard fought all day.
it was too damn hot.
there was too much dust and everyone wanted to kill themselves.
also the boys showers sucked something awful
salem VA
this housing site was awful.
this was the first day that i found a lacross ball.
it was so muggy outside and it felt like rain.
this is when katy first really got mad at the effing metronome and she wanted to kill herself so i tried to learn how to do it but i really didnt know how to do it.
i made piles of huge grass and threw my lacrosse ball into it.
the buses drove into the grass and we had to pull our stuff hrough the muddly grass.
the place that we slept was a cafeteria and it was really small.
we couldnt walk through the school and we had to go outside to go take a shower but everythign was mislabled and we wandered into the boys wrestling team and football practice.
they harassed everyone in the corps.
this show had an 800 year rain delay but i got to chill out with my boys from the madison scouts.
i also saw my friend natalie from VA because she was marching with Teal Sound.
the show sucked because after the rain the field was so bad.
chesapeake VA
we stayed at the show site here.
this show was sponsored by outback steakhouse but my being a non meat eater was lame because they didnt really have any food for me but a ceasar salad.
we moved fields about 14 times because the trumpets lined the wrong field.
joe, laura, and i had to move the scaffolding.
alex bender showed up and steph taught everyone some visuals that were dumb.
there was a sign on the back bleachers that said extreme danger.
i got to watch the crossmen and pioneer.
they were bad.
i ran into my friend jason from high school who was working with the crossmen.
it starting pouring rain and the show got moved to a standstill inside.
the SCV cymbals were really scary and i was freaked out.
bluecoats played and it was so awesome inside.
also they played autumn leaves and i almost cried.
i think i did.
haha.
then we had to deal with the props in the rain and that was stupid.
i was soaking wet and i wanted to die.
salem va
we went to another place in VA for a rehersal day.
we practicied on the most beautiful top of a hill.
we got locked out of it for a while which was random.
i got to practice by myself for a little while.
also we had scalloped potatoes this day i remember because its my favorite food.
i didnt take a shower so i could go to sonic.
i had the most delicious route 44 full throttle slushie.
marlee and i played catch with my lacrosse ball basically all day.
this was the first day that the color guard did that crazy stuff in c2 wiht the props and their uniforms so it was fun to watch.
also drew learned his dance with ariana and it was funny because he was so uncomfotable with girls.
there were a lot of jokes made this day.
chuck didnt help us bus load and josh muioz didnt either.
it was bull
mufreesboro, TN
Independence HS
they were really anal about everything single thing we did however i had been to this school a couple of times before for indoor competitions so it felt really nice to actually know where i was.
i had to run and get the field markers and also i did a nice thing for ice cream and got his paint up for him.
this is the first day that mindy was here and it was fun to just hang out with someone that was new.
at the show, zac showed up again so we talked for a while.
my family came down again and gave me what little mail i had and of course some more ale-8's.
we won brass again but we really wern't allowed to be super excited about it because we didnt do the greatest at the competition
atlanta, GA
Centenial HS
This was a terrible field.
The colorguard dubbed it Drum Corps on the Beach because there was sand all over the field and they had to roll around in it.
We moved around about 800 times this day because it was stupid raining.
Laura found another lacrosse ball and i decided that I was going to learn how to juggle.
The sarahs and katie jones got locked in this small room together. poor sarahs
At the show, Nelson, Cassie, and Andrea showed up.
It was cool to see people from home.
We had to load the props in the rain and that sucked so hard I wanted to cry.
We went back to Centennial and the next day we had a rehersal day there.
It rained the entire day and we moved around a lot.
We went everywhere really, all over this high school, in the auditorium, the gym, outside, inside.
It was nice but we got soaked and my shoes got wet which is super drum corps lame.
Then they decided that we were going to leave early because of the rain so we did a couple standstill run throughs and packed up
Tupelo, MS
We stayed at a little community college called itawumba.
when we got there we realized that we would get to stay in beds which was sweet and what was super sweet was they each had their own shower so we got to take long showers.
Also, this is where brewster found a little ball and i finally had three to learn to juggle with.
I was also late this morning because i couldnt find where i was supposed to be going and where the field was.
I walked way too far to BFE and was late for stretches.
I did what I was supposed to do which was help the mellophones load the props.
That was the punishment for being late to rehersal.
It was really hot here.
that stupid souvenir kid would not shut the eff up and we all got really annoyed with him at the show.
I ate a popsicle and a piece of pizza and a mountain dew.
it was delicious and satisfying.
This is where we all learned that geoff might actually be leaving and that was very exciting.
We had to haul the scaffolding through grass which was lame and also geoff almost killed all the props.
It was stupid.
The run through was not very good because we got yelled at after it.
West Monroe, LA
I stole a pair of basketball shorts from this school which is a big deal because they are a huge name in football.
Apparently one of the best in the country.
The school smelled like crap because there was a papermill next door.
We kept thinking it was going to rain but the rain was actually just teasing (sucks.)
This is where brewster and molly went home.
Also this is where steph invented the amazing 4 6 12 8 bull that i wanted to die every time we did it.
Also this is where that cool black kid did like 14 back flips for studder and justin gave them some drum sticks.
A lot of random people showed up to just watch us.
That was cool.
I worked on juggling and this is where i started to get really good at it.
There were like...2 showers which was super lame however there was a sonic and I didn't have to bus load that night so I got to go to sonic and get another full throttle slushie which made my life awesome.
We went to Texas this night on the bus and all the texas people were so excited.
I was pissed.
Texas is hot.
Denton, TX
Ryan HS
We had three rehersal days planned in Denton because that high school is the one that the Bluecoats Texas camps are based out of. We got mail here which was awesome.
Marlee got another 800 letters from her best friend and also she was excited because her best friend was coming to see her.
Someone got sick but I forgot who.
Paul Pope split his lip open
We spent a lot of time traveling between the Denton ISD stadium and Ryan HS.
The good part was bus down time of about 10 minutes.
The bad part was we passed a water park every time so it was...teasing us.
On the first day of the three, George my caption head came up to me and told me that the Troopers had a spot open up and they wanted me to come fill it.
I thought really hard about it during the afternoon block and realized i didnt have any chances of marching this summer with Bloo so I told them my descision.
It was probably one of the hardest i have ever made.
I love my blue family and leaving them was really really rough.
For the rest of the three days i conditioned a little with the guard alternates, moped around, slept, and juggled.
It was hard to watch and listen to the show knowing i was never going to be in it.
On the last day in Denton, a little independant corps of 15 peopel came and played their show for us.
It was the music of Kiss and at the end the dude in charge set a clarinet on fire.
The ISD stadium sucked though because it was really hot and there is zero shade.
I did my part by helping gen get dinner ready and make really cold gatorde for the corps.
san antonio, TX
this was my last day with the bluecoats.
I was going to take all my stuff over to the Troopers after the show was over.
I spent my day inside, getting ready, taking a nap, and reading the new harry potter book.
we went to the show and had a lot of time to just hang out because it was a really big regional.
i saw some troopers people and asked them where their buses were because i was going to have to take some stuff over there.
they looked really confused.
after the show, we sang autumn leaves and i cried.
it was really hard leaving.
i cried while i was leaving the corps and i took all my stuff to the troopers buses.
I was greeted by a lot of different people but most of them were drunk because they had sort of a free day thing because they preformed really early in the day.
my seat partner was described to me as a fat kid named dirty.
his real name was david and he was actually pretty cool.
some other kids around me seemed cool and a reconized a couple guys from bluecoats camps.
I was kind of scared though because i figured they would all think I was a tool bag.
This chick looked at me and gave me the nod, the gay one and i was like...yup.
Gay.
she was hot too.
her name is beth and shes pretty tight but she was drunk at the time i think.
carly had her head buried in harry potter which was pretty funny.
later that night the bus broke down (lame) and we had to transfer busses.
this chick ariana talked to me for a while and then i fell asleep.
Denton TX
we went back to denton at a differnt high school.
we got about 30 minutes of floor time and we found out that because our bus was still broken down, we couldnt get our stuff.
i didnt take anything because this had never happened to me.
i had my water jug and my field bag,
but no shoes or socks.
someone lent me a pair of dinkles.
i learned some of the drill pretty quickly and watched the rest of rehersal with this dude alex, a guy who also had just gotten there.
he was pretty cool.
the water was nasty there too.
at the end of the rehersal, everyone was passing out like crazy, but to their credit, it was really hot outside.
also becaus eyesterday was a free day, they didnt drink enough water.
at the show, i saw all the bluecoats and was upset because i already missed them.
it was really hard and i wanted ot be back with them but i decided to stick around because i owed it too the troop.
Mark (the drum major) and that chick beth really helped me want to stick around.
Also, there was a girl on snare named Katie Mulka who was really chill and seemed to understand where I was coming from.
I figured she was on my team so to speak but i dont really know.
So the show went well and i got to see the acadmey.
they were pretty bomb.
After the show i sat around with beth chick and hung out.
it was cute.
hutichionson, KS
today was a laundry/rehersal day.
the water was...awful.
I learned a lot more drill and they went and did laundry.
I stayed behind, learned more drill, and took a nap.
We had trouble with the showers so we had to figure out how to work all that out.
it was lame.
Katie and i talked a lot more and she made me meet people because I felt like no one really liked me
It was cool to actually meet some people.
I could still feel a little hostility but at the same time, most people were cool.
this is where sara wrapped all of mickeys stuff up in saran wrap which was really funny.
also i juggled some more and got a little more used to being around different people.
Lincoln, NE
learned more drill.
this was my last show to watch.
Foltz popped a chub during the show that we could all see (alex and i.)
from the stands.
We were at the home of the shockers, whatever that means.
There was a sonic down the road from the show and Alex and I went and had delicious food and stuffs.
Mark also scared the crap out of some kids because he acted like he was going to shoot him with his gun.
I was sad because Katie was flirting with Kyle and that was weird.
Also I met chris and talked to some of the Japanese kids and they were super chilled out.
pittsburg, KS
I talked to riley here for the first time.
This was also my first show but I didnt know the whole thing.
Alex and I both got in during the second movement.
I dont remember a lot from here at all and I'm not sure why
Charles made the sabre run around screaming "i love my sabre" which was amusing
Hutichinson, KS
so we went back to kansas and stayed at the same school except it was the show site.
I was really excited because it was my first full show and i got to preform an encore with the bluecoats.
I was going to get to stand next to friends from my own corps.
it was super exciting.
practice was pretty hard but on lunch i went over with mark to see some of my friends and everyone seemed like they missed me.
during the last block of the day, some of my bluecoats came over and watched.
it was kind of scary having people watching.
Also lizz came over and it was cool because it was the day that Mark declared dress like lizz louis day.
which basically meant we sagged our pants really far and wore button down tshirts and stuff.
it was fun.
she saw us too and i think we both perfected the look, mark moreso than i.
the show, i did not preform well but the encore was cool and it was cool to be in uniform and really locking it down like the troopers are supposed to do.
We also hard a rehersal day here again.
All and all i spent a crap load of time here
Denver, CO
I don't really remember the housing site but this show was really hyped up because technially it is the troopers home show.
we learned a lot of the history of the troopers which was awesome.
it was called the Troop Whoop.
After the show, coery moore, megan, and I went to burger king and i had my first amazing veggie burger og the summer.
also some thing called a butterfinger pie.
also delicious.
we went back and watched the bluecoats show and then got ready to leave.
a lot of people were still reading harry potter.
(this is where i dont remember in what order things happened)
cheyenne, WY
i already knew wyoming was going to suck.
we were scheduled to be there for two days, doing some kind of show for the community and a parade the next day for a huge rodeo.
it was already light outside when we got there but we got an hour or so to sleep.
then we got up and it was drizziling.
that sucked.
I got mail from my aunt. she was quick to send me stuff to troop which was awesome.
we practiced on a parking lot at one point and that is no good on my knees.
the parade was so dumb.
we played show bits and everyone was all in rodeo clothes.
we did a show for the community,
also dumb because it was raining.
then we had to practice in uniform which got everything really dirty.
then it started pouring and we realized the cases were still outside so we decided to run down a huge hill to get them.
well the pit had put them up so we looked stupid getting soaking wet.
then we decided to walk back up the hill because we were already soaking wet.
then it started hailing.
this sucked.
it hurt.
i ran.
in the hail.
my glasses got really scratched up.
our staff decided to leave early because the drive to Utah was going to be really long.
and wyoming sucks.
ogden, Utah
this was another bad day for us at troop.
we got there, couldnt get into our housing site.
when we finally got in we got an hour of floor time but that was interrupted by some cheerleaders.
then we didnt even have a field to practice on so we practiced in a nearby park.
after lunch we got to use a softball field to practice.
this was super lame because i had to kneel in the show.
at the show, we walked 800 years to find a seven eleven which we finally did and i got an awesome energy drink.
also i talked to lizz a lot and tried to comfort her about matt becker.
matt becker had to go home because he got apendecitis.
this was a terrible blow for the corps.
hes like the back bone and the morale.
fruitland, ID
this section is going to be a book because we stayed in fruitland for three or four day.
the first thing that happened is when we got there was no one was there to let us in.
so we waited for about an hour for anyone to let us in.
then when we got there we didnt have a gym but this weird combo of a chorus room and band room.
the chorus room was so small that all of our luggage didnt fit so we had to stay up and move everything around.
the boys got to sleep.
when we got up we practiced but it was a show day so we didnt practice much.
the brits were there and they kicekd out butts i remember.
sergio got really sick and threw up all day.
we went to the show and it was a long drive which was cool.
the field was blue and i felt like i blended in to the turf.
after the show i went and got dinner from the troop and sat on the bluecoats busses with all my old friends.
then i went to wendys and got a frosty.
then i sat around and talked to the gay dude that works on the troopers cook truck.
then i went in and watched the rest of the show and did the vanguard yell with alex.
after the show we came back and i fell asleep in katie mulkas bed.
the next day was a rehersal day.
scott could already tell we were tired so he let us have a pretty easy day during brass rehersal.
after brass rehersal we all went to carlys house (because she is from fruitland) and ate lots and lots of watermelon.
that was awesome.
the next day was another rehersal day but it was also ryans birthday.
we were really worn out and didnt want to have another rehersal day.
there had been rumors flying around about walmart and or laundry.
turns out we got to do both which was sweet. high brass got to go first, after lunch.
mark and i and a bunch of other people sang wicked at the laundry mat.
this is where we started planning ryanpalooza which was going to be a crazy bus party.
then we had some brass rehersal time and some sectionals.
after that we got ready and went to wal mart and got a lot of stuff for ryan palooza like glowsticks and streamers and other stuff.
also party hats.
then we had another 4 hour rehersal block which wasnt too bad and some of my bluecoats friends came by and watched me because they were doing laundry at the same place that we did.
that was cool to have them so close.
then the party started.
we all danced for something like 3 hours and i made out with a couple of guys.
that is how i aquired the nickname sargent switch hitter.
i blame it on being on tour for so long.
whatever.
katie mulka rode my bus and really she was the only one i wanted to get with.
which didnt happen.
i figure she just thought i was creepy.
oh well.
the drive to nevada was really long and i didnt sleep much.
a lot moer stuff happened in fruitland that i dont remember anymore
Reno, NV
this was a rehersal day.
everyone was really tired from partying really hard the night before.
we learned new visuals but the thing was our field was actually a parking lot with a big lightpost in the middle of it and that kind of caused a little problem trying to march.
we managed.
also we did that really cool thing with water and how well we were using our air.
i almost got killed by the door of the cook truck and it was super scary.
hunter was flirting with me and we got in trouble for talking even though i didnt do **** and i blame it all on her
standford, CA
i get both of the california shows mixed up but i think this was the one where we walked really far to go to panda express.
also i found a light saber and this was the night of "prom" on the baby bus.
we sat in the grass after hte show and just dicked around and riley flirted with me a lot and wanted me to be her prom date.
i also think this is the school where the showers, there was a windo inbetween them and the boys were looking at the girls and the girls were screaming a lot
clovis, CA
this show was at a huge complex thing and i got a really good order of cheese fries after the show was over.
this was also the show that meghan davis and the ryan thing happened and all of the bluecoats and the troopers were pissed about it.
i saw my seattle friends again and our warmup was weird i think.
again i dont remember much about this
Los Angeles, CA
This was the end.
finals week.
the first rehersal day was pretty general,
we practiced on two different fields and one of them was lined crooked.
also there was a strange grate contraption on it right on one of my spots.
this is also where lauren jabr tripped me but i did a crazy roll move and got back onto my feet.
there was a pool here that all the little mexican families went to during the day and they watched us rehearse.
the second day we got some free time at night to go to the mall.
i hung out and just chilled.
a lot of people went to the movies but the theatre was really garbage.
this is where the cool wall of stuff that people sent in went up.
the third day was really hard and we got yelled at.
we did a run through with hats and jackets on.
and shoes.
i dont remember why.
to get in the game or something.
the colorguard got to go to the pool.
then we did a run through for only the members and my aunts showed up.
that was so cool because it was just for us.
i preformed for katie mulka.
brian stevens kept telling us someone to preform for and she is just someone that i really look up to and think is an awesome person and think she gets the short end of the stick a lot of the time so i did my run throughs for her.
the next day was quarterfinals and we did well but not enough to go on to semis so we went back to the housing site and basically there were no more rules.
we played huge games of hide and go seek.
riley got her mohawk cut and then she came and slept with me,
in more than one sense of the word.
the next morning I got up and packed everything.
walked to burger king.
it was cool to be by myself.
then i got everything to gether and my aunt came and picked me up.
i said good by to the troopers and went back to my family.
it was so cool to be back and i was greeted well.
i went with matt to get starbucks and helped out on the food truck doing whatever i could to help.
we went to the show and i saw some troop people who were cool.
i just hung out basically and helped with my normal duties.
then we went back to the school and went to bed.
the next morning was finals morning and we were woken up by the age outs playing autumn leaves.
that was so cool.
then we did pennies and i got mine and i dont think i have ever been so proud.
then they rehearsed and i helped clean the cook truck.
then we went to the show.
we did well.
i put on my uniform and went on the field for full retreat.
that was cool.
i got my medal.
i forgot who actually gave it to me.
we took pictures.
after that i got undressed said good bye to everyone and left with my aunt.
i took a long shower slept in an awesome hotel bed and spent the next day chilling with briana in the airport before i returned home.

What a great summer! Gosh, I've marched in some of those awful stadiums, and slept on some of those same gym floors! Some things never change!
