Speaking of Willy...wonder what his thoughts are on Dali in the catcher's mask.....
I love the Arts, my Bachelor's is in Illustration, my DD is an artist...but this theme is out there so far, even for me.
I think it's terrific how connected he/his family is with his community . His brother was a football star in H.S (married his H.S. sweetheart Cheerleader) ~you can picture him sending his own kids to school there. So tragic. I have a friend here on the boards from Coral Springs, but have not chatted with her in some time. just pm'd her touching base.I *love* the art!
I too just read that Anthony was headed home from spring training. He knew the football coach who died protecting a group of kids and a relative of his agent was killed too.

Parkland and Coral Springs please stay strong! This is out of control and and our country is in desperate need for change. I hope In this darkest of times back home this brings everyone together and we can find love. You’re all in my prayers

I think that if he sets his mind to it, he might be the one to help turn the tide of school mass shootings.
Rizzo has a LOT of class, always. He's a wonderful role model, using an over used termthe world needs more Anthony Rizzo's.

I have been a baseball fan for a long time. Very rarely have I seen a player that I admire as a PERSON first. Anthony Rizzo is the real deal.
Props to his folks~ I remember reading an interview his Dad gave saying how they(parents) were zero tolerance of any riff-raff their boys may gravitate toward, drugs etc. Keeping them in sports, volunteering etc.I have been a baseball fan for a long time. • First baseman Anthony Rizzo was expected in camp on Monday for the first full-squad workout. Rizzo had returned to his hometown of Parkland, Fla., to be with family and friends after a shooting at his former high school in which 17 people were killed.
"He's a special guy, and some of the things he's gone through and their community has gone through the last couple days, I'm looking forward to giving him a big hug and welcoming him back," Zobrist said of Rizzo.
"He needs hugs. We give a lot of hugs around here. We're a tight-knit group. He'll be excited to get back into the game. That's one of the best things about baseball is that it helps everybody move on from difficult things that happen."
That is absolutely horrible. I saw it on FB earlier can not stand it. Is that CJ's signature in the first one? Will all the players sign the "IN" promise. Ugh. The marketing people laid a big egg this year IMO.Looks like we have this year's slogan/hashtag gang~

I believe the ending is slotted for sometime between 10/23 and 10/31I liked #ThatsCub. #EverybodyIn feels like it needs an ending.
