My comment was not in reaction to the stories people were telling (some of which are amusing in a 'people-are-funny' kind of way). It was in direct reaction to the statements made by ro80 and sotoalf that were not anecdotes:Can't we just have a good time and laugh at ourselves? We all do things other people think are silly! Nobody is trying to be elitist or suggest some people don't belong at Disney. If you have to sacrifice your health (i.e. eating a warm egg salad sandwich), maybe you should wait until you have more sense--or can afford ham.
Those are two judgemental statements about who should or shouldn't go to WDW. I'm having a hard time understanding how anybody could interpret them another way.Bingo! That's the problem. If you can't afford to go, you shouldn't. Common sense."If you have to count every little penny, they WDW is not the place to go."
My point was that eating in WDW is expensive, and there are families that must be frugal to be able to afford the trip. The point is to visit the happiest place on Earth. Just because they're not eating the same way or in the same places that others are eating doesn't mean they shouldn't have come to WDW.
Don't worry -- I'll drop the subject now. I'm not trying to derail the thread.
