I have finalized almost all my plans but couldn't wait any longer to start. I was going to just write a trip report when I got back but instead here I am 24 days before my trip already typing away...

Here is a general overview of my plans...

I am arriving on June 13th and leaving on June 17th... My birthday is the 16th and I am celebrating all week long.

I'm staying at Sheraton Park Hotel on Harbor the first 3 nights on a "Starhot" rate provided by my wonderful twin sister and am staying my final night at the Paradise Pier Hotel (Super excited!) due to a pin code offer I received and the fact that I was already paying the regular rate at the Sheraton that night.

I my flight lands around 11:30 Monday morning and I have booked a car service to pick me up at the airport and take me to the hotel and I plan to drop my bags in the room and hit the parks! I will be heading to DCA to ride ToT first (family tradition) then touring around at leisure until dinner at Goofy's Kitchen at 7:30.

June 14th I am starting with the Minnie and Friends Breakfast at 7:10 then touring around DL a bit before spending the rest of the day in DCA with a picnic dinner before World of Color. (Possibly touring with a friend from work and her sister as they happen to be in the area)

June 15th I am touring DL all day then having dessert in the reserved Fantasmic! seating area for the 9pm show.

June 16th I will be checking out of my hotel at 6am and probably taking a cab to Paradise Pier to drop my bags there before MM at 7am (and to pick up my bonus Fastpasses for the new attractions!). I will start my touring in DL for the MM then move to DCA for lunch with the princesses at Ariel's Grotto at 11:30. As there is a Grad Night and the parks close early I will head back to PP around 7 to move into my room and have a shower and change as I am splurging on the Chef's Counter at Napa Rose for my birthday!

June 17th I will be enjoying the Surf's Up breakfast downstairs then packing up to take my car service back to the airport and flying back home to Calgary, AB, CA... and back to work at 10pm on June 18th :scared1:

Hi! I am going to follow since we are celebrating about the same time! My birthday is the 14th! I will be at DL from the 6th - 16th to celebrate! Probably overkill but its Disneyland!

I sent you a PM a few days ago. If you get lonely while at DL and want someone to hang out with just send me a message.

I am also planning Minnie's breakfast for the 14th. My PS is at 7:20.

...Now that I've been reading everyone else's posts I feel like I should have come up with some uber-creative name for this trip

I really don't have anything else to post but I wanted to complain about the total lame-ness of my name choice.

We are totally going to have to find each other at breakfast! That's an awesome coincidence. Also June 14th is my mom's birthday my sister and I were also born on father's day as the 16th fell on Sunday that year... and it's also my mom's step-mom's birthday!

The thread name can be changed. Go back to your first post and click edit and then go advanced and you can then edit the title.

My names are never very original. I'm just not that creative!

That is a LOT of June birthdays in your family! I have a cousin that is 2 days before me but otherwise that is it for June (I think!) May is heavy on my Hubby's side. Otherwise we are pretty spread out.

Sounds like you have a most excellent trip planed. :goodvibes I think your trip title is very descriptive. :thumbsup2

When you add in Mothers Day in May and my dad's birthday... today (Crap I totally forgot to call him - will have to call tomorrow as it's a holiday) we have all our family celebrations very close together!

Hi Sis!!:cutie:

Your birthday plans sound awesome... not that we don't discuss them everytime we're together :rotfl:

Yes call your father tomorrow, he'll tell you about his wonderful birthday party yesterday and how his favourite daughter called him on his birthday (after her husband reminded her to :rolleyes1) Sad really he checks with me everytime he has to put my birthday in anything and then texts me to tell me it's my dad's birthday :confused3

Hey now... Let's be fair here we're both his favorite (possibly because sometimes he can't tell us apart...)

I barely woke up in time to go in for my early shift (is 7pm early to anyone else?) and had to deal with other things... I remembered when it became the 22nd at midnight but didn't think he'd want to hear from me then... Lol!

I feel very loved knowing that people are actually reading this (that seems sad now that I've written it down but anyhow) and am getting super excited!

Thanks everyone for the birthday wishes. I have decided to leave the title for now - I'll probably change it when I get back and this becomes my TR then I'll come up with something clever like 'The Calvacade of Characters' or similar based on my trip... Nothing else to say really but since I'm home at 3:30am instead of 6:30am it seems like it's too early to go to sleep... My life is weird I know.

I always remember I need to call someone when it is the middle of the night. I try and remember to call when I get home but tend to forget.

What type of work do you do that you work nights?

I constantly remember I need to make calls then remember that it's the middle of the night or too late in the evening to do anything. I work surveillance at a casino and typically work Wesnesday-Saturday 10pm-6am and Sunday 7pm-3am. It's usually fun sometimes deathly boring and occasionally absolutely crazed but I enjoy it.

Okay first things first...

Three Weeks from now I'll be in DISNEYLAND!!!!!

Now on to other things... The week before I leave is going to be so crazed! I usually work Wednesday-Sunday overnights but booked Sunday off due to a morning flight on Monday. Then I found out my sister's university grad ceremony is on Friday so I switched shifts at work so that I worked Tuesday afternoon and have Friday night off (still working Saturday) then Sunday to prepare before leaving Monday. Then Sam tells me that the grad ceremony is at 9am (OMG!) and I'm supposed to work until 6am (my usual shift) so I changed another shift so now I finish work at 3am and can nap before the ceremony.

I should also mention that the Saturday before this my parents fly into town for the day then drive up to Kelowna to property hunt until Thursday (I think) then they'll be staying with me Friday and Saturday for Sam's grad.

That means the two weeks before my trip look like this:

Two weeks before work Wednesday-Saturday 10pm-6am Sunday 7pm-3am (with my parents arriving Saturday and spending the night leaving around the time I get home at 6:30am)

Monday: Off (sleeping and probably packing - hopefully)

Tuesday: work 2pm-10pm

Wednesday: work 10pm-6am

Thursday: work 7pm-3am

Friday: Sam's grad ceremony at 9am some lunch get-together thing at 1pm (followed by a nap I hope!) then dinner out with my sister and brother-in-law and parents

Saturday: work 10pm-6am

Sunday: wax appointment at 4pm hoping to get a pedicure either that day or some time earlier in the week; finish packing and get my carry-on organized

Monday: Wake up at 5am to get ready and go to the airport (parking at park-and-fly which I've never done before - scared!!!) then flying to Disneyland and enjoying myself...

I'm exhausted from just writing that but now I have a clearer picture of what I'm doing so that's good.

Nothing else really to update at this point - although I now feel compelled to mention that I did call my dad today and wish him a happy belated birthday.

Also I found out just a couple days ago that I might be going out of town for work within days of returning home from Disney so this whole month is basically INSANE!

Your trip sounds super fun! & how cool that Paula will not only be in DLR a few of the same days as you, but at the same Minnie & Friends breakfast!! :thumbsup2
I am excited to hear all about your trip when you return!! Happy early B-Day!

Well I hope you have an awesome birthday....you couldn't have picked a better, more relaxing, beautiful place. We just love so much about the parks and Downtown Disney, people think we are weird but it really is a great place to visit, everyone is so nice and the weather is GREAT.

My daughters birthday is June 14th (4), (my dads birthday is the 16th) and we too will be there to celebrate, we get in on the 11th and are actually staying until the 29th in a 2 bedroom villa. It is taking just about all our DVC points to stay that long but we are sooooo excited. We are doing a big family birthday celebration on the 18th and hopefully will have a World of Color view from our room to finish off the party, but on the 14th be sure to watch for a little princess all dolled up from Bibbidi Bobbidy Boutique wearing a birthday pin (of course there will probably be about 100 of them that day;)).

I will be sure to follow your report, and maybe even see a glimpse of our family walking by in a photo of yours. :rotfl:

Alli it's looking like you planning thus far is more about what happens around your trip than during your trip. Wow you have a crazy work schedule.
