... I'm very interested to read other responses to your thread!
There are so many great places to eat in DTD I never understood the desire to find places "off property" other than purely budgetary reasons.
There are some of the Mega Chains down on Katella, but most everything else is "meh" in the surrounding area IMO.
For both posters: Can you give us some more details on what kind of restaurants you're interested in? Type of food? Any kids in your party? Any food allergies or other restrictions? Vegetarians? Vegans? Budget? Etc.? Will you have cars or use Uber/Lyft?
Southern California has TONS of restaurants of all varieties, ethnicities, budget options, etc. Having some idea of what you're looking for will help us tailor the recommendations to suit you!
One easy place to start is the Anaheim Packing District. This is like a fancy food court in a renovated citrus packing building. Lots of different kinds of food, live music, great energy.
We are staying in the Anaheim area for a week but not doing Disneyland all week. I figured I would ask for suggestions.
Garden Grove has awesome Korean BBQ. It's almost as good as koreatown without the drive. If your kids are big eaters, one of the all you can eat korean bbq buffets is a lot of fun.
We also really like Fa Sai Thai or Thai Nakorn for Thai food, though it's been awhile since we've gone. We'll usually get takeout and be the envy of other hotel guests.
