its anyones guess as to when casey jr will be open. in five trips i have seen it open twice. that would be two days out of all my trips not even open the whole trip.

Im just 10 mins from hamilton. Travel for us has been a nightmare as we didnt wanna loose any days flying meant we would loose a full day. So decided to get over night bus spend the day in london staying at a hotel next to eurostar. Then getting direct train to disney. Getting really excited.

Hows everyone elses plans coming along?

gutted about the castle being covered as its our first trip, and now Alice's Curious Labyrinth my daughter loves alice in wonderland.

Hi joining in on this thread as we are going to be there on our first visit 4-7 April too

Taking my husband and 3 of our children (13,7 and 5) they are off the wall excited and are counting down the days.

I am at the food planning stage so searching this forum for restaurant tips.

Nice to meet you :cheer2:

Hi Nuttyness.
Can't believe how fast the time's going now, still bit's & bob' & planning left to do.Will have to print off some map's for trip from Airport to villa to Disney.
Need to get dd some new clothes AGAIN, think she has had another growth spurt!
We are in Dundee so Edinburgh is easiest to get to for us, such a shame )or maybe just as well) you can't get cheap flight's from Dundee Airport.
Was reading my daughter her bedtime story last night & at the end there's a question-- If you had the golden key , where do you wish you could go? After a wee think she said "FRANCE----- AND DISNEYLAND" hubby & I exchanged a knowing look/smile:hug: she really has no idea.:cutie:

HI
Can I come and join you please? I have just found these boards and am gathering lots of great tips for our trip.
We go on 5th Apr-9th Apr from Edinburgh.
Hey Violetta- you are amazing- keeping your trip a secret!
We live in Glenrothes and have twins that will be 6 on 2nd April- so we are going just after their bday. We took them for their 3rd bday and they loved it!

Hi to you Fiona, looks like a busy week at DLP, twins :) they must keep you busy :cheer2:

Wow violetta you are doing a great job of keeping it secret, I spend all my time looking at DLP online so it was going to be hard not to let on. Its my sons 7th birthday tomorrow and he really wanted a party, I told him that parties were off this year because we had something magical planned and from that both boys guessed and ran around screaming :yay: now I don't know who is more excited? Them or me??

We are flying from Luton and our flight arrives at 8.00 and our return flight leaves at 21.50 so hoping to maximise our time in the parks. What time are your flights? and have you sorted out transfers?

I am a bit disapointed that Pizza Planet won't be open when we are there but currently looking at other restaurants. Planning on Cafe Mickey on Wed evening, but the others are still undecided. Have 1 very fussy eater so will be difficult to please him. How are your plans going???

N xx

NN - I am the very fussy eater in our group. My 6yo dd is a close 2nd. I booked Walts, Inventions, and Cafe Mickey for our three nights. I'm hoping all 5 of us find something we like at the buffets. (Samantha & I more than the others) I am sure we will end up at McDonalds a time or two while we are there.

About 3 -4 years ago I stopped b-day parties and I don't give the kids presents. I asked them what they would prefer and all of them would rather take a trip than recieve a gift. (Kids after my own heart ;) )

Violetta - I am so excited for your daughter! How exciting!!

Fiona - I think that is an excellent Bday present!! I told my kids we were going for their Christmas present. I presented them with a scavenger hunt with clues located throughout the house. I worked very hard on the presentation and almost excited about that than the gift.

Less than 30 days to go until the flights across the pond. I still need to book the river cruise and the Effiel Tower tickets. I am going to buy the tickets up for the 3rd level for everyone. I have 2 or 3 that are afraid of heights, but I thought I would give them the option to head up to the top.

I just ordered my vouchers from Tesco clubcard for our Seine Cruise. I didn't have enough for all 4 of us, but when I looked at the website I noticed that children are much cheaper anyway so have decided to pay for them and we will swap our vouchers fro adult tickets.
Good plan about the Eiffel Tower- I think I will maybe buy my tickets in advance too because it is always really busy- thanks!
Are you all staying at Disney hotels?
We have stayed at Sequoia Lodge and Vienna Dream Castle. This time we are trying out Hotel Elysee at the Val d'Europe shopping centre. We went to the shops there on our last trip and it was lovely to have a llittle break away from Disney. We had an Italian meal which was fab and about a third of the price so have decided to try staying there and eating some meals there. (save some pennies)

Fiona - I am at Newport Bay during our stay. I needed a room big enough to accomidate the 5 of us, however, now listening to others I wonder if I would have been better off booking two rooms at Santa Fe. Nothing I can do about it now:)

Just looking to plan the rest of the week, we just have to go to Paris, thinking about doing a Les Cars Rouge tour, like the idea of being able to hop on & hop off the bus so you can have a wander round the various sights.
Somehow:confused3 daughter has still no idea that we are going away. When we went last year she knew we were going to France but didn't connect it to DLP, in fact 3 different people asked her if she was going to DLP & she said no we are going to France, (as if they were being daft). The first she knew was the morning we went, when we drove up to the parking Toll booths & she realised where we were her face looked all shocked/surprise & her voice went all quiet "it's Disneyland, we are at Disneyland" it was so sweet.:cloud9:

Violetta - that tour looks very comprehensive!! A great choice to see all the sites in a day without having to deal with how to get from one place to the next. :thumbsup2

I am still waiting for the Eiffel Tower tickets to become available for April 1st. Hopefully, that will happen soon and I can get all of my itinerary finalized.

Violetta that tour looks great :thumbsup2

Sweetlovin how are your preparations going?

Not long now till we are off, 21 days and counting for me :banana:

Claire - we're flying and it works out we're getting into DLP the same time as we would have gotten in with eurostar. Flight arrives at 12 noon and train journey only 9 mins to marne la valley. Last time we got eurostar and got in roughly the same time so works out we still have pretty much full day on the Monday we arrive.

I work in Hamilton!

Picked up a Paris guidebook in Poundland yesterday, will be handy, & I can look through it at work as we are quieter at the moment.
Wondering what we are going to do for food on the evening we get there, our flight gets in at 18.30 & we have to be at the cottage for 8 to get the key's. Tempted to get a small carton of long life milk so dd can have her usual glass of milk before bed, but worried it could burst in our suitcase! When we went to France last year we arrived later then got lost on the way to the (different) cottage & there was literally nothing except water until we found a supermarket the next morning. We are so spoilt having 3 supermarket's open 24-7 near us.

Research does pay off, turns out there is a small supermarche (petite casino) right across from the car hire desks at CDG, so dd & I can get some provisions while hubby does the boring queuing at the car hire place. :thumbsup2
and even though it's probably just a basic store I just know it will be better than my local tesco.

Violetta - Excellent news about the shop.

NuttyNess - That is coming quick for you!! I leave in 14 days (I cannot believe how much I still have to do!!) I just purchased the Eiffel Tower tickets for April 1st. :goodvibes So I am starting to feel a bit more prepared.

I am really hoping to be bumped on one of the flights (or two). I have told all of my children if the opportunity presents itself, we are bumping off the flight, but hopefully it is at the end of the stay not on the way to Paris.;)
