Hi everyone, I'm back - need a nap! :goodvibes

Thanks for the good wishes, Jackie! I did have a good time!

Marv, you left me pretty open, but I had a pretty mild week!:thumbsup2

Dan, you are funny!:rotfl: I almost sang with a restaurant entertainer and named it after you, but I let my friend who can actually sing take the mike!

Andrea, :rotfl2: Didn't get too wild, but then again, I didn't have a hangover, so it's all good!

I'll back with some pics tomorrow.

Hey, Thanks Ellen! I miss that sunscreen, too. No, they only kept a few of the sunscreen products they already had. I'm hoping they will re-launch more in the Spring. For now, they just had a launch of the weight loss and nutritional supplements - OMG! I am amazed at the science, and the results the test group got. I'm planing to be be more healthy and fit for sure!:thumbsup2

Thanks Cynthia!

Sorry I am MIA everyone! I promise to be here and post some Vegas pics as well as finish this TR. I've just been so tired and then so busy, I can't seem to get to uploading the pics.

I was able to get our Palo ressie for our upcoming DCL repo cruise, so there is a little bit of cruise news to share with you!:goodvibes We aren't booking any excursions on this one - I think we can see what we want on our own much cheaper and I don't feel like we'll be stranded in a foreign country if something goes wrong. Well, I guess Canada is foreign. :goodvibes

loved the look of the cakes but a bit disconcerting to eat....LOL vegas sound fun and motivational

Thanks Cynthia!

Yeah, given your ports I probably wouldn't book any excursions either. Have you been to Victoria and Vancouver before?

Okay, I will share a little of our Vegas trip, since it was, after all, a trip! It will be pretty mild, so don't look too hard for wild!:lmao:

Sunday afternoon, my team member and roommate for this trip, Karen and I drove over the mountain and through the woods... Really. About 2 hrs away to our Regional VP's house, Jenny to spend the night before flying out on Monday morning. We were due to leave at 2:30 p.m. - I wanted to get there before dark - and she was just starting to pack. By the time she packed and said good-bye to her dogs and arranged her doggie gates and forgot her purse it was 3:30. We stopped on the other side of the mountain at my Aunt's house to make a product delivery, and then to the mall to meet another client with a delivery, so we ate Japanese food in the food court - not too bad.

When we arrived at Jenny's (Oh, you remember Jack and Jenny?) she was all set to do a wine tasting extravaganza for us!:goodvibes Actuallly she had hosted a Wine Club party the night before and was really excited to share some of the wine pairings with us. Fruit and cheese and wine make a pretty good dessert!:thumbsup2 We watched "Regarding Henry" with Jack while Jenny finished packing, and then we all headed to bed by 10 so we could get up nice and early - the airport was about 45 min. away and we had a 9am flight.

At the airport, we met up with 19 more of our team and we had a great time there, having a nice breakfast and lots of hugs all around and pictures - our flight was delayed 2 hrs because of fog, but we didn't hardly notice. Jim, on the other hand, noticed and was quite mad that I didn't inform him of this before taking off. :headache: In my defense, he had informed me of flight delays, so I knew he was aware.

We had a nice flight on Allegiant - kind of a Hybrid between United and Southwest. You can pay extra to choose your seat ahead of time, and then if you choose "open seating" you get on in the order of check -in and sit in any available seat. Works pretty good.

We landed in Vegas at 1:30 and it took until 3:30 to make it to our hotel, first night at the newly refurbished Tropicana for $36 with tax!:yay: I would definitely stay here again. All of the rooms are remodeled and very nice, it was sweet, because we had a soaking tub, and Karen said it was the nicest place she'd ever stayed in. It made me feel so blessed, because I had arranged points for her to be able to make this trip, and paid for this one night we were paying for!:lovestruc I don't have any pics I took of the room for some reason, but here is a pic from the website. Our room was like this, only with two queens instead of the couch thing,

The reason it took 2 hrs was because we had booked a shuttle to the hotel and it took forever for them to come. We had to wait for a 2nd shuttle as we were at the back of the line, Lesson learned: Take a taxi. It costs the same and you don't have to wait!

We got settled in and I called Jim - my phone was dead so I couldn't call until I reached the room. We headed out the MGM Grand to register for the conference and to give Karen, who has back trouble and can't walk fast or very far, but is a dog walker by trade:confused3 the 10 cent tour of
a few casinos.

The lions were out at MGM - again, I don't know why my lion pics are gone.
Here's a link if you haven't been there: http://www.mgmgrand.com/entertainment/lion-habitat.aspx

We ate dinner in the food court at MGM, stopped to get a Margarita at the "slushy bar" and then headed out to New York, New York and Excalibur. I bought a bottle of wine at Excalibur, and we grabbed some water and snacks in the Tropicana gift shop, and headed off to sleepy land. We were pretty tired and we had a big 3 days ahead of us!

More Vegas Next Time!

No I haven't - do you have recommendations?

If you can make it for high tea at the Empress in Victoria, do that, and the Butchart Gardens are amazing. I'm sure they'll have an excursion for one or both but I'd check out your options. I don't know where the boat docs compared to the Empress location but would think it would be easy to get to. I'm sure there are shuttles to the Gardens.

In Vancouver, some of our favorites are Robson Street for shopping, Stanley Park for all kinds of things and Granville Island for shopping and dining.

Thanks Cynthia! I'm going to check out those links! I know we want to do the Gardens and we were thinking about the Castle. I'm not sure Jim would go for the tea, but I'd like to see the hotel.

ahh the MGM or that room at the tropicana that's where I wish I had stayed...LOL It is amazing what you can get for a room price out there. I think my flight (last min), hotel for 2 nights and a car cost $500. They love to get you out there.

Wooow, the newly refurbished Tropicana looks gorgeous! For only $36 a night too!

Can't wait to hear more!
