What is your not so normal item to pack, which is helpful while at WDW ?

Something I bought this time that I will always pack from now on is a small sewing kit with needles, because I got some nasty blisters, I need a needle to drain the blister enough to cover it and put my shoes on. Yes, I know this isn't the best thing to do, but I did what I needed to do! LOL!

G+ and traveling with larger parties?

We were there Jan 28-Feb 3rd and had extended family with us. Our plan was pretty much what some of mentioned, we had several groups, and just tried to book at the same time. Only twice it didn't work where we had the same window, we had 3 groups booking, my in-laws, SIL and her boys and my...

    Refills with popcorn bucket receipt?

We just got home February 4, 2023, refilled our bucket probably 10 times at least and we were never asked to show a receipt. One time I was just handed a cardboard box of popcorn, another I was asked if I wanted it in my bucket. But I think you'll need to have your bucket.

Miss middle school or go during spring break?

Miss school! We just came back, made sure mid terms were done, my freshman has some catching up to do, but the school was aware and he knew what would be required. My Senior didn't have much to make up. We also went when my daughter was in 8th grade, you don't get this time back.

    Late June vs August?

I’m originally from Florida, I agree with what the others said, August will be hotter, but you probably won’t notice, it will all seem hotter than the sun! Lol! It will be less crowded probably, most Florida schools and even a lot of the southern schools I think start back to school by that...

    Is it possible?

We were there on the 2nd, stayed off property and got a ILL for it. It was later in the day, 6:30ish, but I managed to get ILL or the virtual queue for guardians with no issues.

Here Now & Just Back WDW Reopening Experiences Including Park Hopping

We went January 27-Feb 4th. Things of note, we averaged about 8 miles, 20,000 steps ish on park days, with the exception of Epcot, we were at just over 10 miles. We got in late Friday evening, we stayed off property (I know, the horror! LOL! We've actually never stayed on property). 1/28 Up...

    Is the genie worth it

We were there last week. Yes, MK Yes, 1000% yes for Hollywood Studios We got it for Epcot since we'd budgeted for GoG and got in the virtual queue, it was nice, but I felt like we did a lot of jumping back and forth around the park, if we wouldn't have had it, it may have saved our feet, but we...

What do you change with more trips?

Things I've learned from this trip and we only go every few years. - Skip the ADR's the food is just ok for the price, unless it's to meet characters with littles or just an meal for a couple. We had more fun & had better food stopping and all the snack carts or quick services places and...

    Is the genie worth it

I think it depends on when you go how much value you'll find for it, however, we just got back last night, so we went during the "slow" season. We ended up getting Genie + for every park except for AK. We rode everything we wanted to except for the Navi River Journey at AK. And we also...

When to take kids out of elementary school for WDW..

We're taking our kids the last week of January/first week of February. We've done early February & early March previously. We're timing it this year where our high schoolers will just been wrapping up exams, so they won't be too far into too many new things yet. Plus, it we almost always have...

Park Reservations, tickets first, correct? Jan/Feb 2023 open yet?

Hi everyone, it's been nearly five years since our last Disney trip and I apologize if this has already been asked. I tried a forum search and couldn't find what I was looking for. I need to purchase my tickets before making a park reservation, yes? And, if I do that now, anyone know if...

SHADES OF GREEN at Walt Disney World Resort Information & Questions

I was looking to purchase tickets from SOG for our upcoming trip, anyone have a trip planned already for late January/February 2023 and been able to make park reservations? The system won't actually let you do it until you purchase tickets, and I'm assuming I'm going to come out cheaper...

    What are your must haves

So many great suggestions! Thank you! I'm loving reading all of these suggestions. We aren't planning to go back until masks are gone, so hopefully everything will be opened by then. Unless of course that takes more than another year or so, then I might cave! LOL!
