Updated Disney Gift Card Deals and More

What is the best way to use these Costco gift cards in the parks? Is there a way to add them to Apple Wallet or do I just have to carry around a printout of the barcode and show it to cashiers?

    Talent Show in Oceaneer's Lab

It looks like the Family Talent Show has gone away but according to recent Fantasy Personal Navigators they offer a kids' talent show in the Oceaneer's Lab. Anyone know how this works? My daughter is a dancer and loves to perform.

    Rope drop 8/6/22

Just wanted to share our experience with rope dropping DLP yesterday. I couldn’t find a lot of info on best practices for rope drop but figured out a plan and it worked nicely so I thought I’d share in case it helps someone. We are Americans fairly familiar with DL and WDW. Our focus was...

READ POST 1 & 2 FIRST-Rise of the Resistance Boarding Group Planning and Information-*No Spoilers*

Question: If multiple people from my party are trying to snag a boarding pass from different devices, should we all be signed into the same MDE account or should we create separate accounts?

Vancouver Hotels....where did you stay pre-cruise?

We loved the Hyatt. Nice rooftop pool. Great club lounge. Walked to the port. The bus to Capilano picked up right outside and the metro was a few steps away. I even saw the Wonder coming in to port on embarkation morning. (It was through a sliver between two buildings but hey I saw it!)

Private Excursions - How early do you feel comfortable being back on ship?

For me it depends on the excursion I'm taking. If there are a lot of parts or things that could go wrong, I leave more time. If it's more simple, then I feel comfortable with less time. But definitely never less than an hour.

Alaska: July vs May worth 5K?

My decision would be solely based on the younger one being able to go to the kids club in July (as long as he is the sort who would enjoy that type of thing). That's why we've waited until 3 for both of our kids' first cruise. It makes such a more relaxing trip for the adults (and our kids are...

    DCL Pregnancy Cruise

I had the same thing happen and we rescheduled to an earlier date so I was only 18 weeks along. I have two friends who went on vacation at 26 and 30 weeks and had to be lifeflighted out when they went into unexpected early labor (one from Catalina Island and the other from the Grand Canyon). I...

    Deck 2 Aft or Forward

We love forward! Some people don't like having to walk to get to dining but I love walking the ship any chance I can get. We've only done aft once and it was bad as far as noise and vibration. I'm sure we just got bad luck but it's been enough to keep us forward ever since!

What’s Your Order of Operations When Boarding the Wonder?

We personally like to grab a quick lunch at Cabanas and eat it by the pool while the kids swim. Least crowded day in the pools since most people don't pack their swimsuits in their carryon. We have the kids wear their suits under their clothes and bring clothes to change into.

    Flights into Vancouver

Last time we did Alaska we flew to Seattle and took the train trying to save some money. We totally regretted it. The train was scenic but took a LONG time (we ended up being a few hours late due to immigration). Plus it wasted an extra two vacation days and when we factored in the cost of...

Cruising with a 3.5 yr old

Our son loved the clubs at 3.5. Like he would cry and throw a fit EVERY single time we tried to pick him. So definitely every kids is different.

young children on a Disney cruise.

We waited until our kids were 3 so they could go to the club/lab. I wanted to have the flexibility of the club/lab hours and not have to schedule hours in advance in the nursery. They probably would've enjoyed it younger.

Alaska DCL - Best port for walking tour?

We did a very nice walking tour of Ketchikan after seeing the lumberjack show. It's been a few years but I remember we rode a funicular, saw some totem poles, went down by the creek to see if we could spot some bears, etc. It was a very woodsy walk.

    GASP....it's not a Disney Cruise!

We've sailed 5 times with Carnival and had a great time. BUT the Inspiration was our least favorite Carnival ship by far. The ship felt very old and dated and because the cruises on it are pretty short, I think it tends to attract the booze cruise type people. Still a cruise is a cruise and...

Walt Disney World SWAN, DOLPHIN & SWAN RESERVE RESORTS Information & Questions

Yes they will store luggage on both ends (although if you're lucky they'll have a room available on check in). Just don't forget to tip bell services. They also let you use the gym to change if you want to swim.

Walt Disney World SWAN, DOLPHIN & SWAN RESERVE RESORTS Information & Questions

Yes DEFINITELY bus to MK. Driving to the MK you have to park at the TTC and then take a monorail or ferry which can be very time consuming. Generally for our recent 10 day stay the buses came reliably quickly. I timed them all and the longest I had to wait was 22 minutes for the MK (we...

Walt Disney World SWAN, DOLPHIN & SWAN RESERVE RESORTS Information & Questions

The fridge does not have a separate freezer component (although we had some carrots at the top that got half frozen). We just used ziplocs and filled them with ice each day.

    First time cruise, help!

Something to think about since you are a family of five is look at getting two connecting inside cabins instead of the cramped 5 person family verandah cabin. That way you have two bathrooms and much more space and often the price is comparable. Personally we love the Mexico itineraries - yes...
