***** February 2022 Thread *****

You're almost exactly the same dates as DBF and I! We're there 1/29-2/4. It's getting so close now!

Adjusted our trip back a week so we will now be going 1/29-2/3. It is coming up so quickly. We usually book way far in advance so this is a strange feeling. Panicking a little lol, but i think thats because we’ve never been during this time of year and we’ve never gone just father/son so im afraid im going to forget or miss something.

2/6 - 2/11 here and I can't believe tomorrow we'll be just about a month away! First time back since the pandemic so I'm interested to experience the changes for myself. I've always been a glass half-full kinda gal so I'll take what Disney throws at us as long as we have fun.

I've been having the same type of convo with my family leading up to our 1/30-2/5 trip.
enjoy our time, not rushing too much, resting when we need to, handling the soon to be 3 year olds possible meltdowns as they come, etc.
i want to do and see as much as we can but I dont want to go crazy like I have in the past
im also not above paying for genie+ if i need to. husband hates the idea of it but if you break your ticket down by $$ to hours saving time in lines its a smart financial move sometimes.

I agree, this will be the first relaxing vacation (i.e. not running around everywhere, no extensive travel, no tight schedule) my BF and I have had in a long time together. I like to have my trips "semi-planned" with some structure such as parks and ADRs but not so much that we can't have opportunities to make spontaneous decisions and overall just do what we want.

When it comes to Genie, while it still seems like a hassle to race to get your spot (which should really be guaranteed if you're paying for it imo), I would think paying the extra is worth it for optimizing your time spent doing fun things. I probably won't use it everyday but it'll be nice to have when we know there's certain things we wanna hit.

We are planning the same thing. Take it easy, rest when needed and just enjoy being away from home for a while. We haven't been anywhere really since our DL trip in March 2020 (we were there the week it closed) and I just want to enjoy things.

My Epcot evening is a Saturday night - but over Princess weekend where there are no festivals. Will it still be as packed?? I"m wondering what our chance would be to try it at the end of the night. I do want to see Harmonoius....

Have y'all seen that Remy's is not going to be virtual queue starting January 10th. It will be standy-by and individual ILL.
im actually pretty bummed about it. I was hoping to virtual queue once and then ILL another time. virtual queue seemed to lessen the actual in line wait time so not sure my family with littles will be able to wait in the probable very long stand by lane.

Feb 19th-26 at the CBR me and my partner will be heading south from Brooklyn.

We'll have 3 other couples joining over the stay some at the beginning, some at the end, and one couple mostly in the middle! Got all the reservations we wanted (may be releasing an extra 8 person Oga's into the wild in the coming weeks) so pretty excited!

Yeah I'm a bit bummed too. I was hoping to be able to ride without paying but I don't really wanna wait in the line since I'm sure it will be long.

I honestly have no idea. But hopefully someone else will be able to give you their thoughts.

Welcome to the February thread. Sounds fun having different people joining at different times through the trip.

So hubby and I have been talking. Since we aren't doing hoppers this trip then our AK day just wouldn't be filled with stuff to do, especially with EE down while we are there. So we have thought about changing our park reservation and doing MK that day as well. Then we will both start and end with MK and I will just not get to ride FoP (my favorite ride) this trip. If we do this I will be dropping a Tusker House breakfast for Saturday February 5th at 9:20 and an 'Ohana supper reservation for 7:40 (both for just 2 people) if anyone on this thread wants to coordinate and grab them. If not I'll offer them on a facebook group I'm in.

The virtual queue for Remy never really saved us much time. We've used it twice and it was really like a standby line. It was a 40 minute wait for us both times, not exactly fast. In fact, a real standby line gives you an estimate of how long the wait will be. But you had no idea how long the wait was with the virtual queue.

We have been at WDW over Princess marathon weekend and it wasn't more crowded than usual. You will probably be fine on a non-festival weekend. :)

We made a reservation with the Mears Connect for transportation to MCO on 2/2....our flight is at 5:50 pm and I received a confirmation today from Mears that they have scheduled our pick up time for 2:20 pm this seems excessively early to me....now thinking of canceling the Mears ride and just going with Uber.
