I am so bad about keeping up with things... I had forgotten about the PYB feature since the last time I used it and I didn't realize there were different categories for different cards... but trying to catch up on this thread (my notifications haven't been working right) reminded me, and I just "paid off" my small CSP balance by transferring the CIC SUB points to the CSP and using it for restaurant and groceries (I think groceries) so that's one less (small) bill I have to pay this month!

Thank you Credit Card DIS-ers!

My tv from Dell arrived yesterday (wasn't supposed to arrive until 1/4) and my $200 Dell credit and $30 Amex offer just credited.

Meanwhile, I'm still waiting on DD's airpod pros. According to Costco the new pair may arrive tomorrow but honestly I'm not holding my breath since USPS is super unreliable right now. And I did for the first time give my mail carrier $20 for Christmas this year because he's super nice and I know this had to have been such a tough year.

my dell order from Nov got delayed till Dec 31st, and im worried amex wont be charged until then... :\

USPS seems super reliable to me atm, was suppose to get a package est 12-23 to 12-25, it showed up yesterday 12-19.
UPS on the other hand, picked up 1 of 2 iPhones and no movement on my 2nd iphone... :(
Fedex came yesterday, was suppose to come mon.

I've gotten all my packages as far as I know. I've been ordering so much I'll have to go into my email and look to see if anything hasn't shown yet, but I'm pretty sure I'm okay.

Also, have my eye appointment on Wednesday and I don't dare leave the house or get exposed before then. Don't want to risk anything that will interfere with my eye appointment.

Costco is definitely a 5% category for warehouse clubs. I usually just buy $1500 worth of Costco GC online and use them to pay for store purchases, so I know I used the benefit fully. Since I PC'd my CSP to a 2nd CF, I am shifting phone and cable/internet bills to my 2nd one from DH's CIP which we will PC next month to a no-fee business card.
In case you want to do more warehouse clubs with your second CF, your CIP can PC to CIC which always has 5% on internet/cable & phone. Mine is a set it and forget on that one.

All services are spotty here. Got both iPhones I ordered in timely fashion (one Costco, one Apple) and pretty much everything else arrived. Some has been late, a couple things early. DH did order one of my gifts shipping from China, so that won't be here on time. But DHs company is having tons of trouble with FedEx arriving late. Their company delivery trucks do 2 and 3 day runs, so some customers try to have it shipped FedEx to get product quicker. Most of the time DHs company trucks beat FedEx.

Just had the most annoying conversation with DH. Lol. I realized I got the Ink referral email but I’m next up on the CC front so I really need DHs link.

me- hey honey can you check your emails for a Chase ink business referral
Him- oh here is one for Southwest referrals.
me- no, I need one for the Ink biz cards
Him- oh, here is one about Ink. I don’t see anything about referrals but it looks like some kind of newsletter.
me- no, I don’t need a newsletter, do you see an email that says refer any Chase Ink card
Him- oh, here is something from American Express, is that it? 🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️😂😂

I gave up after that. Lol. Will have to figure out how to check for myself later. My typed replies are probably much nicer than they actually were. Lol

We would be having the same conversations in our house, so I just created an email that forwards to me for all his CC accounts! Hope you are able to find the link.

Good to know. We don't have a CIC in the family yet (I have a CIU). We did use the insurance from CIP on DH's phone a few months ago, so that is always a thought, but that was the only time we have needed it.

Looking for advice booking SW flight using miles (that hopefully can happen this summer!)

flying from east coast to Honolulu. Can’t get direct flight home so I’ll be booking 2 flights.

Is it better to book this as a multicity flight OR as 2 separate flights?
I’ve already priced it out and am looking at
BWI/DCA to SJC then to HON
HON to SJC then BWI/DCA home

:) DH recently set up a new joint gmail account that we both can access, and I am gradually switching all his cards emails to that one. Since I do all the financial stuff anyway, I also set up all the utilities in our new house in my name.

I prefer multicity flights if I can get them. I feel like the airline has more responsibility if the first one is delayed, and bags are checked through to final destination.

However, it has not always been possible for us. We flew SW to Aruba and had to spend a night in Ft Lauderdale each way because the flights just didn't line up.

Good point about flight delays

I’m assuming they check the bags straight through even if the second flight is the next day. I don’t think I’ll be able to find flights on the same day & I think having that layover night will help with the time change.

Is it easy to change flights if I book multi city? There are better flights that I’m hoping come down in price😊

It's easy provided the changes are also a multicity trip. If you want to change individual flights (but not the whole itinerary) there is the possibility you would have to cancel the first booking to rebook legs separately. The good thing about SW is that the credit if you had to cancel is available immediately to use on the next booking.

We were not able to book a multicity trip with an overnight stay when we did PIT to Aruba. It didn't show up on their website as a possibility, that's why we had to book 4 separate flights.

If anyone does swagbucks, they are giving you $100 to sign up for Walmart + and Chase has a $10 off offer. The annual fee is $98. I'm going to give it a shot for a year.

For anybody who did the Walmart+ deal, I think the Google Pay deal can stack if your annual fee hasn't charged yet. It's $30 cashback, you just need to activate and charge to a linked card.

There is also a support of $21 for sending $10 and Target $21 for spending $50 (which has been mentioned before). Did mine and DH's, sending money to each other. The app is not that intuitive and linking the bank account with Plaid sometimes glitched out. :crazy2: But free money is free money lol.

Which chase card is giving extra points for groceries? I'm looking for a new card for DD28 and that sounds very useful. Or is there a better card on offer right now. She has a great credit score and her last card was a CIP over a year ago. She's 0/24.

Last I checked, both Freedom Unlimited and Freedom Flex are giving 5x points on groceries for a year for new accounts. There was a report that offer is expiring in a few weeks. No AF for either. Our CSR is giving 3x on groceries and we can use PYB to wipe out grocery charges, but there is that high AF.

Right, I don't think she's ready for an AF that huge.

Does anyone know how long the $750 SUB with CIU will be available? I jumped the gun and applied for the CFU for the 5% grocery, which I don’t regret, but realized from others I should have done the reverse—apply for CIU and then the CFU. Anyway, I’m stuck waiting at least 30 days for the CIU and just hoping the offer will still be available.
