I finished up my CIP (redacted) MSR. :cool1: Now on the the next...

(I can add this to DIS Churners but thought it would be ok here since this post isn't about advanced strategies...just a new Amex to keep my MRs active. Let me know if it would be better elsewhere!)

My Amex Plat AF posts next month, so I need to open a new Amex. Which would be the best to keep my MRs Active? I would prefer not to get another high AF card ATM since we have DH's Amex Plat and a CSR.

We don't travel a whole lot so I am not tied to a branded hotel/airline currency.

1. My plans for my MR/UR is to use them to go to Australia/NZ in the beginning of 2022. If I want to transfer them (MRs) to an airline, do I need a "premium" Amex to do so (like the CSR?). I would be looking to transfer late 2020 or early 2021.
2. There is a "P2", so P2 can refer me to a new card, right? No more self ***support redacted***?
3. I have a "business" that actually has turned into a 'business'!
4. I am either 2/24 or 4/24...I never remember if CIP (redacted) count (and don't keep up with the news in case it has changed). Either way: 3/18 - IHG, 7/18 - CIP redacted, 11/18 - Amex Plat, 8/19 - redacted
Please update your original post, we are not discussing that strategy here.

In regards to amex no more self support (dis does not support the r word).

Business cards such as CIP do not count for x/24 count.

Questions regarding Chase offers - how frequently do you check for new ones? And any suggestions on easy ways to keep track of which offers are on which cards (I see yet another spreadsheet in my future...)

I look at my accounts daily, monitoring for fraud etc so look at the offers then
And keep track of the ones I can use the old fashion way making a list

2000 divided by 1.5. Whenever using URs with the CSR you can just divide the cost by 1.5 to get your cost. (This is just for booking with URs, not cashing out to your bank or statement).
thank you (bookmarking)

ETA: What new card should I get to park my MRs? I am at 2/24. Thanks!!!
Assuming your husband has an Amex card, I’d do a cross support from his card for a BBP for you. Current BBP offer is 15k for $5k MSR AND he can get some support points too. It has no annual fee and doesn’t count against 5/24 so both good things there.

I know not many people have the CO Venture card, but I just thought I'd share that apparently I met MSR Saturday and my 50k points posted this morning, so it does not track with statement close. Nice to see them there already!
We got a mailer for the 50k/3k no AF offer..... is this worth a spot? We're kind of chase heavy anyway so slowed the roll there (except for pc options)... we have the */24 spots open.... just wanting to see how useful these points could be...

QUestion about upgrades to any UNI tix.... if I bought a 3 park 5 day base, could I pay at gate to upgrade to ptp? This would be a discount special ticket like groupon etc or possibly purchased using ur thru portal

I’m specifically redeeming for gift cards to avoid having to buy them 🤣 I don’t sit on extra Disney gift cards, I acquire them shortly in advance of the trip 😛 I’m not as crazy as some of you 😂

I just bring 3 cans - I always get our 30 gallons max. Goofy as it sounds, I haven’t actually paid for gas in 19 months (according to my spreadsheet). I maintain enough perks (and have some methods to manufacture free gas when I run short). I actually enjoy filling my car from the tanks since I don’t have to go to the gas station twice the.
:yay: That's us! With Giant Eagle giving double fuel perks on GC this week and my BCP giving 6% cash back on them, I've been going nuts this week with Universal GC. Yep, I'm crazy. I drive a lot for volunteer work, so we go through the free gas quickly.

With just 2 of us, I don't spend enough on food to make the full BCP cash back on $6000 a year. Love the GC.

Looking to get rid of some cards, my sock drawer is full enough. Ok to close citi and barclay AA cards before the year? I know it's not a good idea for chase or amex. Not that I have a plan for anymore citi or barclay cards, but you never know. I've redeemed the miles on POR next year. I assume it's like SW miles, that once they're in your account, they are not tied to the credit cards at all?

Is it too early to apply for an AmEx Platinum/Gold/Aspire if hoping to triple dip the airline-fee credit? I'm thinking about applying on Monday, 11/25.

DH’s AF posted a week ago on his Amex Plat. If someone could guide me through what I need to have him do, I’d really appreciate it. He has until his next statement close to do something, right?

It would have to be a really good retention offer for us to keep this card. I just don’t think it would be worth it for us, even with the trip to Europe on the horizon (May/June). He has 3x,xxx MR in that account. We’re not set on keeping an MR earning card (although I got an email offer for the personal gold card w/ 50k SUB that is tempting me...I finished my $6k grocery spend on my BCP in early November). We also get no good out of the Uber credit on the plat. We’re just too rural. My son in Nashville could maybe use it but he never seems interested. I’d rather have the restaurant credit from the gold. Last time I checked (last night), he doesn’t have the newest MR-HH transfer bonus, but if he gets that soon, I wouldn’t mind transfering his MRs over to Hilton.
