Disney's POP CENTURY RESORT Information & Questions

Thank you for the suggestions! I am traveling with my mother who has not been to Disney World in 25 years. It will be exciting. We will be there for a Mother’s Day trip. We plan to go to Disney Springs in the afternoon once we check into the hotel.

You can actually check in at any point after I believe 6am. Your room may not be ready yet, but you can definitely check in before 3.

Hey everyone! I will be arriving at Pop with my fiance on August 2nd (so soon), and we are celebrating big time! We JUST got engaged, bought a house, and I got a new job. What is the BEST way to let Pop know we are having a major celebration?Any fun ideas of ways for us to celebrate? Thanks!

Check out the cake chatter thread on the restaurants board. the first page has a lot of info for ordering at Pop. You could look into ordering a special cake to be delivered to your room or a table service restaurant. It would be an out of pocket cost but would be a special way to celebrate.

Oooh I love that! Thank you :) I didn't even think of that!

We're staying nearly a week and planning to go to each park for one day... is there a greater advantage to being closer to the buses for MK and AK, or closer to the Skyliner for EP and HS?

The 60s section will get you close to both options.

Not really. The resort is a reasonable size so walking to either of these locations is easy to do.

Thanks so much! Just need water, I think spending a lil extra will be easier than delivery :D

If you don't see cases of water on the shelf, just ask. Sometimes they can't stock them fast enough or they need the shelf space for something else. And if the first person you ask says they don't have them, ask someone else. At AoA, they actually have them in the coolers with the other beverages (at least that's where they've been when we've stayed there).

Will be staying here next year with my parents, can anyone tell me if they have coffee makers in the room and are they regular or pods?
is there a microwave I can use at the food court to save money on food?

Yes there are now coffee makers in the rooms. They take round, flat pods. The pods are provided and you can ask for as many as you would like.

Yup.

We are planning to stay at Pop next June and are planning a preferred room to be closer to transportation. How will that work now with the gondolas.

A preferred room will put you close to the Food Court and the buses, but not the Gondola Station.

I'd plan for 90, but in over 15 years of using it
Pretty impressive, since CMS is a mere 14 years, two months, and six days old :D. Which makes the quoted statement 100% possible. I know a family who used Magical Express inbound the day it started.
Some people choose to pick up their luggage (due to personal preference or later arrival time)
...or because they trust the airline to transport it hundreds of thousands of miles, but not Disney to move it the last twenty ;)

A Preferred Pool View room will put you relatively close to both transportation locations. But the entire resort is only about 2,000 feet across, and there's typically no reason anybody would need to walk from end to end. It's a lot shallower than it is wide.
