I've been dying to do this with DD20...and a few other tours...while she gets them so cheap, but I don't think I can bring myself to not take DD3 with me in July and that is the last DCP trip. Now that she is old enough she remembers what WDW is, she would be so sad to be left at home. Sigh. I really enjoy our trips together too.

DD just booked us...July 13-17 at BW for $161/night. I'm so going to miss these discounts. 😕
I can't wait to get my hot little hands on these kinds of rates! Hopefully 2020

ETA: you just need to talk your dd into another CP. The real world will always be there and be waiting. Right now, mama needs her wdw trips for cheap!

I got an offer to add AUs on my platinum for 5,000 MRs. Can I take advantage of this but only get my AUs the Gold card? Or do I need to pay the $175 fee for the platinum?
I got the same email offer. Here is what mine says at the bottom:

The annual fee for up to 3 Additional Platinum Cards is $175. Each Additional Platinum Card after the first 3 Cards is $175. You also have the option to add Additional Gold Cards to your account for no annual fee. Note: Additional Gold Card benefits vary from above.

Working on plans for next year.
Spring Break= New Orleans. Looking at Hilton, anyone have recs?

Summer= Universal Hollywood and Disneyland per DSs request. Booked Hilton Universal City and Courtyard Anaheim Theme Park. I’d really love to do 2 nights at Grand Californian. Is it worth it and anyone have recs for renting points to stay there?
Also has anyone gotten Universal tix thru Costco? They have a 3 day pass for $140 pp. we only plan 2 days but we could always spend a couple hours there before transferring hotel to DLR. I have a $450 Costco GC waiting to be spent...

Maybe run your credit reports too. Make sure no one has opened new accounts you don’t know about. I do have most of my accounts set up for text alerts for purchases over $200 and charges with no card present. Some of the card issuers are better at this than others.
I have text alerts set up for purchases of any amounts. Fraud stresses me out.

Do you think the Gold Card means no bonus? Or just the no lounge access and stuff?

@Lain is Uber credit banking still working for you? @mmmears and I are having issues (it worked for me last month) :confused3

Yep. My DD keeps trying it and it pushes her $15 credit back into Uber, but with a June expiration date. It would be really nice to be able to bank these since she's going to a city where Uber is illegal and DH and I would love to use this to get to SFO but one way costs several months worth of the credits. I can't figure out what she's doing wrong. DD uses DH's credits since she is an AU on his plat, so DH has mine attached to his Uber account. It's a mess. :(

We loved the Grand Californian. One of my favorite memories from that trip is me and DS running back to our room laughing and soaking wet after Grizzly Run (entrance is right there). We did a private rental through the Dis. I've also tried requesting through David's DVC Rental a couple times, but less than 11 months out, so no availability. They require a $119 upfront fee. If they don't find anything, it's refunded. The request/refund part has always gone quickly and smoothly.

WAIT. WHAT?!?! Is she getting it back???

Yes, but it's going to take a while. She said she opened a Discover savings account about two months ago because of the higher interest rate and put 50k in it since they're starting to build a new house this month. Somehow, somebody got access to it and withdrew $2500 on two separate dates, and then pulled all of the 45k out. She found out when she got an overdraft notice. It's covered for her to get the money back, but I think she said it would be a couple months which she's upset about since they need to start paying on their construction loan and whatnot.

I don't even know what I'd do if I woke up and saw 50k was gone. Of course, I'm the nutjob that checks most of my accounts daily.

Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat
Like I said..."unless something has changed"...We befriended a CM at Poly back in 2017. She was actually the one who upgraded us from our regular Poly rooms to connecting dvc studios. She told me that CM's got discounts on dvc and buying into dvc was one of the first things she did when she hired on. She was pretty young too so it could not have been that long ago that it was a benefit.

The problem for me is any other kind of exercise is boring to me besides running. I like playing sports but it’s not like I can do that every day. I’ve tried walking, elliptical, and the bike and they’re all so boring
I have been doing the treadmill. My wife just got one that has like 50 built in workouts and you follow people around the world in different locations and settings. The machine will go uphill and downhill as the actual terrain changes. Thing is a beast but it is pretty cool. I don't like the elliptical and the recumbent bike, to me, is a joke.
