Disney's ALL-STAR MOVIES RESORT Information & Questions

Has anyone taken the bus from Movies to Hollywood Studios for Early Morning Magic in TSL? I'm curious what time the bus starts running for EMM.

My BIL wanted to know what the options were for Preferred King. Does Toy Story have any preferred king rooms? I know Touring Plans isn't always accurate on that. Thanks!

This will be my first stay at a Disney Value resort. I originally was staying 4 nights at Coronado Springs but had to add a day to the beginning of my trip due to flight schedule. So I figured it was a good time to try out a value.
Couple questions.

1) For the one night stay using the sun and fun discount all 3 All Stars came in at approx $115 a night (standard room). Out of the three All Stars I was torn between ASM and ASMusic. If all being equal which of the three would you choose for a 1 night stay?

2) Which requests should I chose when checking in. Is there anything in particular which would perhaps (keep the noise down) and / or better sections then others?

3) Using Magical Express with a late night flight. Believe plane lands aprrox 11:30 pm so would assume wouldnt even get to Disney before 12:30 - 1AM. Do they usually wait to deliver bags to the morning or do they knock in the middle of the night?

4) Tranferring following day to Coronado. Which would be the quickest way to do that using Disney buses? ASM to Disney Springs to Coronado bus or ASM to EPCOT to Coronado bus. Not sure they location of these 2 resorts and/or which park is closest etc.

Thanks.

1. I would book asmovies because you have a chance at a renovated room.
2. If you choose movies, it depends if you book standard or preferred since only some sections are renovated. If standard, request love bug. If preferred, request toy story.
3. They won’t take your bags since you are landing that late. I think if you land after 10 pm they won’t take your bags
4. I would personally pay for a Lyft. If you do choose Disney transportation I’m not sure which is the quickest

1. Sports is our favorite because, well we're a Sports loving family.

2. Upper Floor

3. If you land after 10PM you have to grab your bags yourself from baggage claim and roll them to the Magical Express bus. The driver will then load them in the belly of the bus and unload them for you at your resort.

4. I would say Epcot. We avoid using Disney Springs for a transfer point as busing back and forth from there is always a challenge. Having said that, when ever we have a split stay we like to send our stuff to resort #2 via Bell Services and hit the parks for the day. Then when we get to resort #2 around 5-6PM we call down for our stuff and have them bring it up to us. We don't lose any "fun" time doing it that way.

To transfer using Disney Transport, take a Blizzard Beach bus and transfer to a CSR bus at Blizzard Beach(CSR is "right down the street" from the All-Star Resort and Blizzard Beach) or take a DAK bus and transfer there to a CSR bus(DAK is the closest Park to the All-Star Resort and CSR).

DO NOT GO TO DISNEY SPRINGS!LOL:)

I would do exactly what Haley R said above as far as staying at movies. I would make my only request a renovated room, they're really nice. As far as transferring to Coronado, is there a particular reason you want to go there prior to the park? Personally, I would have disney transfer my luggage including carryons (you can do that by calling the luggage line from your room the night before your transfer) then go directly to the park. I would also do online check in so that when I get back from the park I can go directly to the room.

I have ASMo booked for 4 nights for an upcoming stay. I'm in a standard room, so I'm going to request Love Bug to hopefully get a refurbished room. What would I ask for to try to get the quietest room possible? 3rd floor?

Personally, if your main concern is a refurbished room I wouldn’t put any other requests

I always request third floor and usually a room on the end (or close to it) of an arm of the building. We've always had nice, quiet rooms.

I'm sorry, I can't find info on the refurb. Are any preferred rooms refurbished yet? Looking at third week of March!

Not doing a park the day of transfer. Resort day planned.

Thanks will try the renovated room option.

Hey all, I'm sure this is an idiotic question but I'm just curious. My Husband and I have a trip planned for September 2019 with his siblings & their SO's. We booked ASmo preferred however, his two sisters and their husbands booked standard. They want to be in rooms all in the same area. What are the chances that if they request the toy story buildings that their request will be granted? slim to none? I'm not sure what we should do in this case but I wasn't willing to miss out on a great location when it came to Hubby & I's room.

Unless they are able to upgrade they won’t be put in the toy story section

Good news the 15’s are gone! Bad news the resort is overrun by field hockey teams. They started to descend on the food court at 6:30 this morning only 1 food place open and the lines were long. However they scrambled to get the other food places opened. It’s now 7:22 and the food court is mobbed!

15s or Field Hockey-pick your poison!lol:)

If you have time one day could you post some pictures of the new "Metal Trays" with wax paper that World Premiere and Intermission are now using to put food on-I forgot to take some and some DISers on another Thread are wanting to see the new "system".

Thanks!:)
