I love credit cards so much!

Wow. My first thought was misinformed TAs, because we know there’s been a lot of mixed messages from the Cruise and Tour Dept. before. But I just found the post, and OP was told by two TAs that this is effective yesterday.

Here’s the post if anyone’s interested: https://www.reddit.com/r/churning/comments/9g0oa0/comment/e617djp?st=JM3TLLOO&sh=e4e602d5

I really see no need for URs anymore if this is true. I also just recommended three people to get the CSP so they could use URs for my wedding.

Just saw it. Don’t want to believe it.

Don’t shoot the thinker here but... There could be truth to it with Chase changing their backend travel providers. Connexions TAs I believe are the ones who booked straight with Disney, they also handled package transfers and cruise transfers. Chase is limiting or severing their Connexions relationship in favor of Expedia. IF this is true imho it’s possible Disney packages, tickets, transfers & other cruise line transfers could all be on the chopping block. I’M NOT TRYING TO BE ALARMIST. I SO want DPs that the reps were wrong (TOTALLY possible, they are a mess of information!) that it still works. Maybe the only thing that changed is Chase has disallowed them to book anything Disney related.

I was also thinking this may be related to Chase changing travel agencies from Connexions to Expedia.

This would be the worst change so far for me.

I've been keeping an eye on my points from Amex and Marriott and watching for things to be credited and especially for my elite nights to credit.

Well, in some sort of convoluted way, I seem to have all the points I have earned and that I had prior to Aug 23, with just the stuff from the next Amex statement still yet to credit. @SBWB48 - the points on my credit card equal what I should have earned when I purchased the gift card. The numbers make no sense, but the total appears to be correct so far with the gift card earning 6x. In fact, right now - I'm in agreement with Marriott and SPG right down to the point! I still have most of the Lux spend that needs to credit (next statement) and of course the bonus. But wow! It looks correct!

And, the SPG Biz points finally posted and the account number has changed itself to the same one as the other accounts. Not sure if this happened yesterday but I think it did at least in the last couple days as statement closed 9/10.

The only problem remaining is for them to explain my elite night credits and the possible rollover nights for Plat status. It's almost time to make the call if I don't see a change in a week or so. I'm really hoping I don't have to call.

An interesting tidbit on my statement regarding the gift card purchase: the note below it says check in Aug 12 - check out Aug 13, as if I'd spent the night - so where's my elite night, lol? (not expecting one.)

What is there fun to do in the Orlando area for cheap? We fly into MCO at the end of October for a wedding in the Melbourne area. We will arrive on a Thursday night and don't need to be to the wedding area until Friday night, so we have about 24 hours. I had originally thought we would do Kennedy Space Center but did not realize it was so expensive! I'm looking for cheap/free. This wedding is already setting us back quite a bit between flights/hotels and gift. Ok, well, flights are technically free, but it was a lot of points. I swear it was the most expensive point weekend for SW to MCO. I guess busy Disney time as I think at least 3 or 4 on this thread were going during the same time. I suppose if nothing else we could go to Disney Springs for a few hours, but, blasphemy here, it is not high on my list of things to do and even lower on DH's list. We spent about an hour there in June and that was plenty of time. I am thinking seeing manatees, or other Florida unique things. Our wedding hotel is on the beach, so no beach either.

Check Groupon. I know someone that gets deals on there for gatorland, mini golf and even the character in flight balloon at disney springs.

Did anyone that used the Amex offer for Walmart Grocery actually get the $10 credit? I didn't get the usual email when I used the offer, but sometimes that happens so I didn't think much of it. However, my statement closed with the purchase on it, but no credit. I tried chat and the csr "escalated" the issue. Ugh, I've heard that word too many times from Amex.
I just used it today and no email.

Hmm that would put a wrench in my plans if I can't use UR to book disney anymore...hoping for a few more DPs before I get too worried.

Has anyone ever done Disney trip insurance? Or added it after the fact? I booked through Chase for our November trip, but I may need to get trip insurance now. Can anyone tell me what it covers, or if there are any other policies I should look at getting? I don’t even know if what I want it for would be covered, which would potentially be a death in my family. Not trying to sound dramatic, but my 96 year old grandmother is not doing well. I have a huge family so I wouldn’t be leaving her here alone going on this trip (don’t want anyone to think I’m cold hearted), but obviously I would be staying home if something were to happen.

I put a purchase through well over the $50 and no other promotions used. I didn't get my credit either. FWIW I ordered through the app but offer terms show the website. I'm not sure if app vs website makes a difference. I usually put an order in once per week so was going to place the order through the website next week to see if it triggers the offer.
I ordered through the website. The csr said he could see the charge posted as Walmart Grocery, but didn't know why it didn't credit. I had this issue before with a Sam's offer, but I was able to get the credit manually applied when I contacted them through chat. No such luck with this one. Escalation is supposed to take 5 days.

I just used this offer this week (Thursday I believe). Haven’t heard anything back yet. I have the offer on 2 other cards, so kind of waiting for it to post before I do that. I’m hoping the extra $10 off promotional offer from Walmart isn’t interfering. I think my total was $64. So $10 back from Walmart still put my purchase over $50.
I have the offer on 2 au cards, but haven't tried those yet. I may not bother if I'm going to have to contact them about the credit each time.
