***Official Candlelight Processional Dining Package Watch - 2018***

Was this a CP package that you got? Im trying to book GG for my parents but cant get it to show up. I have them at Ale and Compass for now.
Yes, I got it for the 20th at 9:30. Not ideal for me, when were you looking? If I decide to drop it, I could let you know.

I would be paranoid too. You should have seen a show time somewhere, so it's possible you do not have a CP package. Go check your reservations.

I'm not sure they ever use the word "guaranteed." If you wait until 5 min before the show, you're not going to get a seat.

Depending on who it is and how picky you are about your seats determines how early to line up, but you need to be in the CP line no later than 30 min before because they will be letting package people into the theater around that time. At 15-20 min before, they open up the standby line.

You don't pick the time of the show. The system does if you're booking online. If it doesn't give you the show you want you need to try again until it does. If your reservation doesn't say candlelight processional and it doesn't have a show time, the you don't have a CP package reservation.

Anybody looking for Rose & Crown for 6:45 show, I was trying to make that one on the phone yesterday and the CM said the system was allowing selection of that showtime but the booking would not go through. Any other showtime would go through, but not that one. This error appears to be continuing today.

You need to get there more than 15 minutes before the show. Around that time they open up the remaining space in the seating area and let anybody sit there. By that time, groups may have to split up. So, no, seating is not completely guaranteed. If you get there in time, it is, but it doesn't mean you can walk in at the last minute and space for your entire party will be waiting for you. Get the seats, and then let some of your group wander and come back if they don't want to wait.

Perfect thank you. We are going to see Gary Sinise and planned to be in the line at least 30 if not 45 minutes early.

Illuminations isn't until 9:30 on CP nights. You'll be fine.

Pros and Cons for all of them.

5:00 show is not quite dark when it starts, but is before it's over, so you miss some of the "candlelight" ambiance. However, you get to see and hear the show without having listened to the previous show while waiting in line. Can't linger in the theater afterwards as they have to get it ready for next show. Plenty of time to eat dinner and find a spot for Illuminations.

6:45 show is completely dark, but you've listened to at least part of the show while waiting in line and you have to get out of the theater so they can get it ready for the last show. Plenty of time to get a quick bite and find a spot for Illuminations.

8:15 show is completely dark, but you've listened to at least part of the show while waiting in line. Once show is over, you have short time to wait for Illuminations which is nice, but you probably won't be on the rail anywhere around the lagoon. That's not a big con as Illuminations is easy to see from just about anywhere, but it is important to some people.

How long is the show? I thought it was 40-45 minutes? Wouldn't the 5 be over at around 5:45? With a package I wasn't planning lining up more than hour before the 6:45 show and was thinking of getting there at 6pm. More than that seems excessive (and unrealistic) with little kids, LOL. Or am I crazy? This is our first Candlelight Processional. We're going on 12/8 and Whoopi is our narrator. We'd still get seats if we lined up 45 minutes before right?

So. Over 2 hours into this process a CM on the phone (I know I know) said Bon Voyage isn’t completely loaded yet. Maybe the same with the other breakfast ressies. Sounds like some are loaded some are not. He suggested I keep checking throughout the day. So much for a nap before my son wakes up lol.

And I just had a CM tell me that Bon Voyage is sold out... she said AP and DVC took all reservations yesterday. She told me they just have a few tables set aside that are available for the Candlelight.

Thats so sweet. I'm looking for November 27th though. Not even for me- its for my parents. My dad is hard to impress but he LOVED garden grill breakfast last time we went. I really wanted to be able to get it for him.

Yes, you'll still get seats if you line up at 45 min before. Some people really care about where they sit. How long the line will be at 6:00 is anybody's guess, but you WILL get seats if you are in line at that time.

So sorry, I know the feeling, my daughter wants GG breakfast and lunch for 2 of our meals, one each day. So I was trying to get it on our EPCOT day, otherwise, our schedule is totally messed up and a lot more running from park to park wasting time. We loved their breakfast so much our last trip. I hope you get something, I know I have spent 60 hours on a trip before just to get ADR's I wanted, so please don't give up.

How do you tell how much the package is, we have Nine Dragons for lunch, and I can't find the prices, thanks

I would say at least an hour for many. I get there early, probably at least 45 minutes. I like to get to sit whee I want, but that is me. I do kit think you have to be there that early, but I would not get there 5 minutes prior to showtime.

This is a bucket list item to see him at the CP for me so I'm certainly NOT showing up 5 minutes before! LOL! I have no clue where the best spot is to sit for this event, but I do want to line up a decent amount of time beforehand. I figure I can send DH to run and grab us a drink while we wait if he gets antsy.

When do you pick the time of the show? I was able to book the package but I saw no mention of the show time. Now I'm paranoid... :rotfl2:

In your confirmation email it should be in parenthesis after where it lists the restaurant+candlelight dinner (8:15pm) for example. Picture for reference.Screen Shot 2018-07-11 at 9.32.08 AM.png

I like the center of the pavilion closer to the front. I try to avoid the tree obstruction a bit further back. (2 little trees that are pretty, however they distract me)

There is a list of prices on the Candlelight Dining Package page. It says Dining Package pricing and you hit show more and then the list shows up. Nine Dragons lunch is $50 for adults.

Random: have you eaten at Nine Dragons before? I'm very happy with my time for CdF, but my husband loves Chinese food so I was wondering if it was good. Might think about switching as it looks pretty inside and he'd be a happy camper. Chinese food isn't my favorite, but I did talk him in to coming and I do like to try new restaurants. (And I don't get to as often as I would like as on run trips I pick safe place most of the time so I don't have issues on race day!)

Strange how some people have no problems with the website, while others do. I've booked a few CP packages on the website this morning (with cancelling and rescheduling in order to get better times). I'm using Chrome and the main dining page.

For some reason when I go to the Disney World site, it is the UK site. Even the link I have on my phone is now the UK site. :confused3

And why are their deals so much better? 14 day tickets for the price of 7, plus free dining AND a $100 gift card? o_O

I was expecting 6am EST to open up the reservations, but I got up at 5:15 so that i could workout and then be ready. Of course the curious one in me had to log in to see if reservations were there-- THEY WERE! So because my dates align with all TBD narrators I booked a couple reservations in hopes that there will be someone out of the 2 dates that i want to see. Missing NPH by just a couple of days. I think out of anyone he would have been who I wanted to see. Let hope they release the narrators before my FP window.
Opened up around 10:30 or so last night. Booked one at Biergarten myself

Question for you experts--I know there has been discussion about how early to line up. The dining packages say "guaranteed seating" for the CP--not that I would arrive 10 minutes prior, but if I did, the way it's worded makes it sound that I would have A seat--maybe not a good seat, but a seat??

You should have a seat up until about 15 minutes before when they start letting standby people in. Our last CP was in 2015 with Gary Sinise. We got in line about 1/2 hour before...in Morocco...that's how many people were in line before us. We feared we wouldn't get a seat--but we did...2/3 of the way back amongst the trees, but it was a seat.
