Cousin, eat until you sleep! Mom/Dtr. Trip, 2/17-2/24/18.*NEW TR Link* 5/1*

Yes! She's so cute :cutie:

I feel badly for Andi who had a soaked skirt - which in gray only made matters worse :sad2: - but laughing at your Frozen reference :p

Wow, what a slow dinner! At least the food was good :thumbsup2 Too bad you weren't able to get a Dismeet in, but hopefully the next day will make up for that! Anxious to find out.
I love the sassy starfish!

You would have thought Andi was actually injured the way she carried on, teens!

I really like Trattoria but the dinner service for us was poor, we loved the breakfast!

Update time......................Day 4 Part 1........Hey I know that trick!

Hello Everyone, I hope everyone is enjoying April, we have winter here again, so no I am not thrilled with the first few days of April. I do have a Disney trip coming soon so that is a plus and I have wonderful memories to relive from the last trip so let us get back to Disney in February!

Today was another beautiful morning. I had a coffee and lemon blueberry scone shaped like Mickey on the deck before it was time to walk to MK.

We decided to get in line for talking Mickey. The park was not open yet, we were about the 5th group in line so not bad. I have heard Mickey will not talk anymore after the month of May, so it was important to meet him again while he still talked.
The CM’s today were having so much fun with all of us. It was nice to visit with happy and bubbly CM’s. We did not have to wait long before we were escorted in to see Mickey. He was talking, yay! He pulled his sly card trick on us, that Mickey is a clever one. This was a fun meet and a great way to start the day!

We headed to Jungle Cruise next but it already had a 40 minute wait so we skipped this, remember Andi’s wait limit is 15-20 minutes so this was a no go. PoTC was a walk on so we went to say goodbye to the redhead again. We jumped on the train and rode the rails to Fantasy Land. It was 10:00 so in Disney, it is time for a hot dog and pretzel at the Lunching pad, of course! Only in Disney World is it okay to have a hot dog for breakfast! We wanted to eat now because our ADR for Ohana was early today at 4:00. CoP was next, love this attraction! I had been texting with @docsoliday1 for a meet. We were able to make it work out for a dis meet. Andi and I met him and his daughter by Stitches Great Escape. We got a picture and had a nice chat. Andi and I had a FP for BTMRR so we all went over together and enjoyed the ride. After the ride, they were heading back to Epcot so we said our goodbyes. It was hot today and crowded.

Andi and I went over to Tom Sawyer island, this was fun to see. We took a few pictures, went in a little dark cave, and enjoyed the quiet areas. This is a nice area to escape the crowds for awhile.

Splash was next and it was actually running, this is a big plus, because this trip, it was down a lot!! We had a great ride, barely got a drop of water on us, less than FEA. We made use of the wonderful train again and headed back to FL. We decided on a frozen lemonade slushy from the Big Top. We sat and enjoyed this before doing our last FP on 7DMT. Yes, we actually went on this time, we didn’t ride at all in November. I do enjoy this ride but would never wait more than 20 minutes for it. We met a nice family in line and it was their first trip, they were having a wonderful trip.

We decided to head back to BLT for a short break before our dinner. I had been texting with @MeghanEmily to see if we could meet up and we had literally just missed her and N by Peter Pan! We were hoping to meet up this evening instead if it all worked out!

Stay tuned for Day 4 Part 2, “cousin eat until you sleep” and another dis meet!

Only in Disney World is it okay to have a hot dog for breakfast!
I begin a lot of sentences that way on my trips... "Only in Disney World is it okay to..." :rotfl:

I had been texting with @docsoliday1 for a meet.
Yay! Dismeets are the best :goodvibes

Andi and I went over to Tom Sawyer island, this was fun to see.
I need to do this. I've seen a bunch of us Disers head over to TSI lately, I may have gone as a kid, but have no memory of it, so maybe I'll do that in May :rolleyes1

We met a nice family in line and it was their first trip, they were having a wonderful trip.
I love meeting and chatting with first timers - and love to hear that they had a magical trip.

When are you heading back to Disney?!

Glad we were able to work in a Dismeet later on! I remember thinking how it was too bad we had just missed each other by a few minutes!

I love how excited you look while meeting Mickey! Nice to be able to do that first thing!

What a fun day at MK! And even better that you had a DISmeet (and hopefully another to come)!

Hi Tracy,
We are going to Disney 4/24-4/29. Our AP’s expire on 5/3 so we wanted to get another trip in. We are staying at POFQ, hoping to get a refurbished room:thumbsup2

We had never been over to TSI so it was fun to check it out, I was surprised how free of crowds it was nice, little oasis for busy days!

I also love visiting with people in line and so fun talking to first timers! They were in awe of AK and I agree!

Glad we were able to work in a Dismeet later on! I remember thinking how it was too bad we had just missed each other by a few minutes!
Yes I was very glad it worked out! I’m so glad you and N had a wonderful trip like we did. As I am writing this it is still bleep bleep snowing here ugh! Our weather is looking more like December than April, help!!

So glad to have a trip coming up since it is still winter here.

I love how excited you look while meeting Mickey! Nice to be able to do that first thing!

It is so funny how Mickey makes us all act like a giddy little girl! He is so cute. I was glad we saw him talk one last time. We did spend a lot of time in MK this trip since we were staying so close!

We are going to Disney 4/24-4/29.
I'm missing you by only a couple weeks :( I come in on May 14. I'm missing a lot of people by just a little bit of time :sad2: Darn work gets in the way of everything

This sounds like such a great plan for when you just need a little down time but don't want to leave the parks (which is so me... I think I've gone back to my resort during the day like once in the last 10 years )

I also love visiting with people in line and so fun talking to first timers!
Yes! Everyone = friends at Disney :thumbsup2

I would have loved to have a Dis meet! So far, I don’t know anyone going when we are to meet. I hope you do a report when you get back!

Day 4, Part 2. Trip title comes to fruition and another wonderful Dis meet!

We had an ADR at Ohana for 4pm. We took the monorail over to the Poly, ahh I love the smell of the lobby at the Poly. Once you walk through the doors from the monorail, it feels like home! We were the first wave of diners so we were seated fairly quickly! Flash back to tiny table awkwardly placed because this was our table. We were so close to another family and literally a foot from the walkway so not the best. Our waitress came over quickly and took our drink orders, Coke and Diet Coke for us today. I think most of you all know this can be a rapid fire meal. Today was like that. Bam the bread arrived, wham the salad arrived, slam the potstickers, noodles, and wings arrived, wow!! It started to slow a little now so we could try to sample everything!

The gentleman, who does the entertainment now, was going around singing and playing the ukulele. He did stop at our table to sing “somewhere over the rainbow” so nice! When he was done, he told us at luaus they say to each other “Cousin Eat Until You Sleep”. That struck us as funny and became our saying for the rest of the trip every time we sat down to eat! Spoiler alert* It is true!:rotfl::faint:.

The meats started to come out soon after the serenade. This time around my favorite was the chicken. The beef I had was over cooked and the shrimp are good, however, to me the taste is to charred so not my favorite. We did ask for more potstickers because these are our favorite and Out comes like 8-10 more yikes! These are so good, we did indulge in these little beauties! Next it was time for the delicious Ohana bread pudding with the caramel banana sauce. This did put us over the top for fullness!

We did eat most of it, how can you not!:confused3. Full tummies and on the verge of sleep we paid our bill and walked over to the GF along the beautiful beach path! I did feel like there was a bowling ball in my stomach:rotfl2:. We walked around the GF, washed our hands at Basin then went to the monorail for a quick ride over to MK!

Stay tuned for the continuation of Part 2, solo time in MK for me and a wonderful Dis meet!

Continued from last post............

Very full and getting sleepier by the minute, we headed to MK. I had made us a Dumbo FP on the way over. We got to the front and had a few pp pictures done. Check out the families photo bombing the picture, so funny, they are posing and everything.

Shortly after this, Andi did decide she was the cousin who did eat until she needed to sleep, so she decided to head back to the room. I was a bit shocked, normally, it is me who heads back early.

I decided to switch my FP to WtP, we had not done this yet and I love this ride. I enjoyed my trip in my honey pot and during my short wait, I made a FP for Dumbo.
I was texting with @MeghanEmily during this time. She was heading back to MK with her husband after dinner at HDDR. We made plans to meet up by Gaston’s tavern. I rode Dumbo and headed over there. I made another FP for Barnstormer after the meet.

I was able to meet Meghan and N this evening it was so nice. We had a nice chat and I told them Andi was to full to stay so she missed out on the visit. They both were so nice as you all know from her awesome reports! They were on their way to 7DMT and I went back to ride Barnstormer. I have to say, when riding “kiddie” rides by yourself, you get many stares from the little ones, lol! I suppose they are thinking what is that old lady doing riding this by herself! :rotfl2: Actually, I did meet a very nice young man and his daughter and we visited on our way up to the ride. I had a plan to ride the last train to Mainstreet except I was like a minute late so I walked instead. I worked my way to the front of the park and headed back to our room. It was a very pleasant walk back by myself.

I got back just in time to watch HEA so Andi and I watched from our balcony. It was so beautiful and no crowds yay! I wanted to mention from our balcony, we could also see the Orlando Eye at night, this was so cool! Has anyone ever done this attraction? I have read a few reports reviewing this attraction, it looks like a fun way to see all of Orlando and Disney from high in the sky.

This wraps up another really fun day and evening.
Here are food costs from today
MK Lunching Pad=$15.64
MK Big Top=$8.16
Ohana=$99.44
Total=$123.24

We headed to Jungle Cruise next but it already had a 40 minute wait so we skipped this, remember Andi’s wait limit is 15-20 minutes so this was a no go.
Andi and Casey are definitely cut from the same cloth, though finding anything with that short of a wait

Splash was next and it was actually running, this is a big plus, because this trip, it was down a lot!! We had a great ride, barely got a drop of water on us, less than FEA.
I feel like its been years since I last rode splash. I swear its always down and its my favorite ride!

Love this. I don't think I've ever seen this magic shot before.

We took the monorail over to the Poly, ahh I love the smell of the lobby at the Poly.
Casey does too!!!! She says the Poly is her favorite resort just because she loves the smell.

When he was done, he told us at luaus they say to each other “Cousin Eat Until You Sleep”. That struck us as funny and became our saying for the rest of the trip every time we sat down to eat! Spoiler alert* It is true!:rotfl::faint:.
:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2: Love this and don't we all exemplify it on our trips!!!

I don't have a ton of interest in Ohana, except for everything I read about those amazing potstickers and noodles. I would totally be in carb heaven.

Very full and getting sleepier by the minute, we headed to MK. I had made us a Dumbo FP on the way over. We got to the front and had a few pp pictures done. Check out the families photo bombing the picture, so funny, they are posing and everything.
Didn't you know they are part of your family :P

So awesome you too got to meet !

I got back just in time to watch HEA so Andi and I watched from our balcony. It was so beautiful and no crowds yay!
This is perfection!!! I love the fireworks, but hate the wait and crowds, so maybe a balcony at the Contemporary needs to be in our future :-)

You're too kind! It was so nice to get a chance to meet you and say hello. I was sorry to miss Andi, but I definitely understand why she needed a rest...the Ohana food coma is a serious matter!

How awesome to be able to watch HEA from your balcony! :lovestruc

I hope you do a report when you get back!
I'm going to! :thumbsup2

“Cousin Eat Until You Sleep”. That struck us as funny and became our saying for the rest of the trip every time we sat down to eat!
That's too funny! It would have become mine, too!

Next it was time for the delicious Ohana bread pudding with the caramel banana sauce.
Yum! I make this recipe for every holiday, found the recipe on Allears. :thumbsup2

I was able to meet Meghan and N this evening it was so nice.
Yay!!!

I have to say, when riding “kiddie” rides by yourself, you get many stares from the little ones, lol!
Trust me... I experience this all the time! :rotfl:

What a great evening!!! :goodvibes
