Yay! I’m following along on yours as well! Thanks for joining in!

Yay! Welcome, I can’t believe how sick I got, I had to go to the ER and get IV fluids, yuck! I am so thankful Andi didn’t get it!

Yay! Welcome, Thank you for reading and commenting, I love it! I am much better and made up my few pound weight loss at Disney of course!

Yay! Welcome, thank you for reading and commenting!

Welcome and so happy to have you joining in!

Welcome, so nice to have you here yay!!

Hi Raeven so glad to have you following along, Welcome!!

Yay! Welcome

It was a big old bummer, I am thankful it was well over a week before we traveled or I wouldn’t have made it on the trip! Is never fun canceling Disney plans!

Hi Meghan and Welcome! I hear you about getting sick around travel time, one of my worst nightmares! I was so glad I was feeling much better by our travel day! I had to get a wall picture, I still don’t have a purple wall one, Andi has a ton!

Hi Tracy, Welcome! Thank you for reading and commenting, I love it! Being sick ugh! This trip was so wonderful on many levels, one being I felt good when we got there and the weather was so welcoming, since our winter has been so cold and snowy!

Hi, Welcome, Thank you for following along! You sure are right being sick is no fun especially when it coincides with a WDW vacation, ugh!

Yay, glad to have you here! I was so pleased with getting some money back, I thought I may lose around $500.00 and I only lost about $100.00, so much better.

Yay! Welcome, I love all your dining reports! Glad to have you here.

Hi Ariane, Welcome, Thank you for joining in.
"......................................."....................................................

Hi Everyone,
I will be back this evening to get started with Day I. I just wanted to mention a funny coincidence. Andi is fuming, lol! While we were on our trip, Andi was mentioning how much Disney could benefit from a purple wall magic band, she said so many girls her age would buy them in a heart beat! Now we are home and yesterday she shows me an article form Disney, they are starting to sell Meet me at the purple wall magic bands!

I joked with her and told her Disney big wigs must have been listening to her and ran with her idea:rotfl2:
What is the purple wall?

Hello to all! I have today off and thought I would get the rest of Day 1 put to ink since it was a shorter day for us! Just to update you all, today would have been our DHS morning. I had FP+ for DHS so when I had to change plans I was able to change FP to MK. Almost all attractions were available except for 7DMT. We also had to cancel three highly anticipated ADR’s. Homecomin on 2/15, TH breakfast on 2/16 and California Grill on 2/17.:scared1:, okay on with the evening.

Day 1, Part 2, me will miss the redhead!!

When I left off, we were acclimating to the beautiful Florida weather and our awesome room view.
It was time to walk over to the MK, I cannot tell you all enough HOW MUCH WE LOVED THIS PERK! It was such an easy walk literally less than 10 minutes with security. The security along the walkway was very convenient and never very busy. Once we passed through security and approached the front of MK I was so happy.

I don’t have to tell all of you about that wonderful feeling, we all get when we enter the MK. The sights, the smells, the noise, the Happy CM’s, and all the people! We spent a few minutes taking it all in and just so happy to be there. This may sound silly, especially to some of you, who live in warm climates, but just the ability to walk around outside with warm air and no fear of breaking my neck on the ice and snow was one of the best feelings ever!! I frequently would lean over to Andi and say I am so happy I can walk around outside. I really need to move you all.

We decided to head to our first FP+ which was HM:jumping3:this is such a favorite for us and truly lets us know we are in WDW! The FP line was not to bad, however this trip, we could not believe the length of most of the FP lines, wow! Really loooong! People were not happy about this either. I never heard “Is this the FP line? Are you kidding me” so many times in one trip. We had a wonderful ride with all the ghosts, I never tire of this ride.

We decided to eat at CHH for a change and it was right there when we got out of HM. We did the mobile ordering because the ordering area was busy. This is so convenient except I prefer to pay for everything with my GC’s and your credit card on file is charged for mobile ordering. Andi went upstairs and found many open spots up there so this was nice. I decided to try the lobster roll, it said it came with homemade chips but it was served with French fries. Andi was feeling some chicken nuggets so she got that. I really enjoyed the lobster roll, there was a good amount of lobster, crisp lettuce, and a decent roll. I didn’t think it was drowning in mayonnaise so that was a plus. Andi gave two thumbs up to her chicken nuggets and fries.

We finished dinner and as we walked out HEA was starting. It was at 7:55 every evening. We watched for awhile from Frontier Land by the Diamond Horseshoe. This was a nice place to see the fireworks especially if you have already experienced the projections on the castle.

We decided to head to PoTC during the show and this was a good idea, it was a walk on, me will miss the redhead for sure!
View attachment 306150

BTMRR was up next, Love this ride, I laughed as we rode our runaway train around the Wilderness!

We needed a sweet treat after that crazy ride. Dole whip at Aloha Isle was on our brain! I decided to get the Pineapple upside down cake with swirl on top (1/2 dole whip and 1/2 vanilla) yes, swirl is back in MK yay!! Andi got a regular dole whip. The CM forgot I wanted swirl and gave me all pineapple on top, oh well, it was still really good. The cake was moist and very flavorful. Two thumbs up for this snack. Andi loved her dole whip.

After our delicious snack, we headed to Fantasy Land to ride Peter Pan, this was our last FP, the line was really long. I did hear someone say it had been down for a little while. We waited about 15 minutes so not bad. We had a great flight with Peter and friends. Ohh that Tiger Lily is sneaky!

We decided to head back to BLT after Peter Pan. We went in the Contemporary to buy a few items. I had canceled Garden Grocer for this trip. I bought some water, creamer, bananas and a 2 liter Coke for Andi. She decided not to do a refillable mug this trip. It wasn’t real convenient to fill from our location at BLT. This was the first time I didn’t do GardenGrocer and it was fine. We headed back to our room via the walkway from the Contemporary. The only negative I have about BLT, other than the shower, was the elevators could be really slow. We were on the 9th floor so taking the stairs was not really an option. We were always really tired by the time we got back to the resort. BLT lobby pictures.

Okay our first day was already in the books, off to sleep and guess what, it was nice and quiet in our room, so a big yay!

Stay tuned for Day 2, Part 1 Are these kids going to clap the whole time!:rotfl2:
What is chh and blt?

What is the purple wall?
It is a wall behind Tomorrow Land Terrace on your walkway to Tomorrow Land. The area has become popular for photos standing against the wall for social media posting. It is just a wall but because of social media has become very popular in MK.

What is chh and blt?
CHH is a quick service restaurant in MK, Columbia Harbor House and BLT is the resort we stayed at Bay Lake Towers it is the DVC building at the Contemporary. I know there is a place on here to learn all the abbreviations, it is what most use on here when posting to make things more quick when writing. Thanks for reading!!

I know, I do too! I know what you mean about everyone else discovering this ride - I've noticed the line increasing the last couple years :sad2: Oh, well. It'll always be one of my favorites :cloud9: Few things I love to do more while in Disney than ride PM :goodvibes

Yum! These look so good, I'll have to keep these in mind :thumbsup2
I saw a lady with a shirt on that said meet me at the people mover, so cute! I wish I could find it for myself. Quite a few years ago when Andi still followed me around, lol, I made her ride the PM at least 10 times that trip.:rotfl:

The tots were really good.

Cute early morning pics!

Nice leisurely morning doing some classic, low wait rides!

Mmm those tots look good! (I always think of Napoleon Dynamite too :rotfl2: I was obsessed with that movie when it came out!)

Love the photos at the Minnie/Roy bench!
The morning was so nice to get a look around the hub without tons of people.
We liked the low key morning, it was fun
The tots are delicious, that movie has been on at our house at least a 100x:rotfl2:

Breakfast of champions!!

Now what would be the fun in that!!? :P I've been trying to teach Nathan my secret ways, but he's still get to become a Galactic Hero either.

How neat!!

This is a great picture of you girls!
I saw your victory picture, galactic hero, lucky lady:thumbsup2

The train is up there as a favorite of mine with PM. In the summer, I walk most days on the lakewalk here and when I hear the train coming, the whistle reminds me so much of Disney!

Thank you, I look kinda dorky in the picture, Andi looks good!

Beautiful pictures. It doesn't look at all busy.

I don't understand how to do it either…but I just cheated and googled it so I'm going to try in a couple weeks :goodvibes

Those look yummy. I love blue cheese on anything!

Great pictures! And I'm glad to se they moved Roy back where he belongs, since he was pushed aside in November for the Christmas tree :sad2:
The morning was so nice to get pictures and take in the hub, it really was not bad this day.
@PollyannaMom gave me some cheats as well so I am studying to show Andi I can do it without her help, lol!
The tots were so good with the celery, blue cheese crumbles, and the buffalo chicken, definitely a winner
This was the first time we saw a photographer with Roy so it was a nice one to add to our pictures.

What is this? I've never heard of it before.

Oh I'm sure this was glorious given the winter weather you all encounter. We've been in February when its "freezing"and when its perfection. So glad you 2 got the latter. You deserved it after all you had endured!

I'm so with you on this ride. I have no idea what the secrets are and can barely even hit a target. Jason, like Andi, knows it all and shares nothing. And I'm sure it not long before Casey figures it out too.

That sounds so awesome!!!

Yours is the first review I've seen of these and they look and sound awesome. Also totally loving the Totcho's name!

This could go so many directions :P
The tour is a newer one in the WS at Epcot, you go behind the scenes of the countries and have lunch at R&C. It sounded fun since we did love the UnDiscovered Future World in Epcot and the same tour guides do the WS one. The 5 hours Does seem long. We will do it one day!
The weather really was perfect, I think it is why I loved this trip so much even with all the crowds!
The totchos were surprisingly delicious and I hope they keep them on the menu for awhile and do not mess with them! That is always a theme at Disney:confused3
Stay tuned for Part 2, Lets just say Andi is not a Frozen fan:rotfl:

Day 3, Part 2.............Andi needs to “let it go”.........................

Good Morning Everyone,

Happy Saturday, I hope all of you from the east coast are done digging out after all your Nor-easters! Believe me, I am from Minnesota, I know what you are going through! It stinks. The first day of Spring, means absolutely nothing to us up here:rotfl:It is still winter for us as well!

Let’s head back to Florida, shall we, yes please!! When I left off, Andi and I were heading back to BLT for a little afternoon break. I spent some more time checking out the grounds at BLT. There was an outside pool table, bean bag toss, air hockey, putting green, and a shuffleboard court. There was also a small beach area with a grill space and a few lounge chairs on the beach.

At around 3pm, we headed to the monorail area, security was not busy at all, breezed through this and got on monorail Coral. You all know the pet peeve of double security so we did this at Epcot. It was quite busy at Epcot. Today was the last day of the Festival of Arts and it was Presidents Day so of course it was crowded. We had FP+ for SE first, it was really busy. This is one of the million times we heard people saying is this the FP line? Many grumbles coming from folks when they found out that yes indeed this is the FP line! The line did consistently move so I would say it was about a 15 minute wait. We love this ride, one of the only original attractions left in Epcot.
DBF5290C-7469-4F25-9718-BD2B12D42842.jpeg

Nemo and Friends was up next, we actually needed our FP for this today. This is a cute little ride, we do love Nemo! Don’t you all love the starfish at the end, she is funny! We spent some time checking out the aquarium, it was crowded in here so we didn’t stay for to long. We did get a picture here and it is one of my favorites! I am wearing my new Minnie Mouse shirt I bought at MK this morning, the back has a cute red bow on it.

It was time to visit the WS, we took our time and walked around the world. We stopped for a few silly photos with the portraits in France and USA. We did not try any of the food at the Arts Festival, I know, epic fail as a trip reporter! We did not see anything that was a must for us. We did listen to some of the Broadway music in the USA, visited in our favorite stores in each country and went on our last FP+ ride FEA. I really enjoy this ride except for the jerkiness. It is a little rough! Andi is not a Frozen fan, mostly because it is just way over done in the parks and she has had enough. Well, this time on the ride our bottoms got soaked! Oh she was mad, her skirt was really wet and quite noticeable. Mine wasn’t as bad and I had black on. I added to her frustration by singing “Let it go”, she did not appreciate this at all. I don’t think she will ride again:confused3

It was getting close to our ADR time so we walked over to the Boardwalk area and waited for our friends. I was texting with @docsoliday1 about a possible meet after dinner. He was staying at the Boardwalk so we were close. We would try to say hi after our dinner.

Dinner was at Trattoria al Forno. We were seated fairly quickly, however this is the only quickness we experienced this dinner. Our waitress was super friendly but wow she was scattered and she would disappear for long periods of time. It took almost 30 minutes to just get our drinks and some bread. We decided to share, so we started with the Calamari Fritti, again a long time later this arrived. It was very good. The calamari was nice and crispy on the outside and a good texture on the inside, (not rubbery). The dipping sauce and seasoning was a nice compliment. Our dining companions also decided to share. They went with the seasonal Risotta with scallops and pancetta. The chef was great and split it before it arrived and did not put any scallops or pancetta in one order since Andi’s friend is a vegetarian. The scallops were done perfectly, sorry just a picture of the vegetarian version. They both enjoyed the meal. I believe it was a pumpkin risotto. Andi and I shared the Chicken parmigiana with spaghetti. This was very tasty, the sauce and flavors were very enjoyable. It was lukewarm so this was a bummer. There was no way we were sending it back because our waitress would have 1. Took forever to find and 2. Would have took forever to get back!:hyper:. The meal overall was tasty, thumbs up for food and the company and thumbs down for the service!

We went out and enjoyed the Boardwalk for awhile and we then said goodbye to our friends. Dinner was long so it was a little to late to meet with @docsoliday1. They were tired from their long day so we planned to try to meet up the next day. Andi and I took a bus from Boardwalk to MK and walked home from there.

Food totals for today:
Friars Nook=$23.72
Trattoria=$45.00
Bay View gifts=$12.34 (treats for breakfast) scone, cookie, chocolate caramel Mickey turtle)

Total=$81.06

Well this ends another wonderful day at Disney. Stay tuned for Day 4, Part 1 “Hey I know this trick”

Bummer about getting all wet on FEA! I didn’t know it was that kind of ride...we’ll be riding for the first time in a couple weeks!

Your dinner looks yummy, too bad the service was so bad :sad2:

We're in the winter boat too! We're headed to the mountains tomorrow for spring break and last year we were wearing shorts and went hiking. This year they ski slopes are still open!

It was quite busy at Epcot. Today was the last day of the Festival of Arts and it was Presidents Day so of course it was crowded. We had FP+ for SE first, it was really busy. e did not try any of the food at the Arts Festival, I know, epic fail as a trip reporter! We did not see anything that was a must for us.
Not a fail at all. We went last year and were infinitely disappointed with the food. So in my estimation you didn't miss anything :-)

Andi is not a Frozen fan, mostly because it is just way over done in the parks and she has had enough. Well, this time on the ride our bottoms got soaked! :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2: I take it she did not Let it Go! Though I must say I 'm in the Andi camp. We've only done it once and thankfully Casey declared it not as good as Maelstrom so she hasn't seemed interested in going back.

Love this picture! It totally looks like you just realized George Washington was in your boat :-)

The meal overall was tasty, thumbs up for food and the company and thumbs down for the service!

Yikes that certainly is some slow service. Glad you were able to spend more time with Andi's friend though.

Don’t you all love the starfish at the end, she is funny!
Yes! She's so cute :cutie:

I added to her frustration by singing “Let it go”
I feel badly for Andi who had a soaked skirt - which in gray only made matters worse :sad2: - but laughing at your Frozen reference :p

Dinner was long so it was a little to late to meet with @docsoliday1.
Wow, what a slow dinner! At least the food was good :thumbsup2 Too bad you weren't able to get a Dismeet in, but hopefully the next day will make up for that! Anxious to find out.

Bummer about getting all wet on FEA! I didn’t know it was that kind of ride...we’ll be riding for the first time in a couple weeks!

Your dinner looks yummy, too bad the service was so bad :sad2:
We have never had that happen before and we have rode at least 3-4x. It was a fluke I am sure. I have read a few reviews were people have complained about getting wet so just beware, lol!

Our dinner was good, just wish it was hotter and a little more organized.:rotfl:

It sure sounds like the east coast is sure having a full blown winter this year! They are predicting a high of only 27 here on Easter Sunday, yuck!!

The art is very pretty to look at but I have not heard much excitement about the food at this festival.

Andi protests everything Frozen but knows I like the cute little ride so she goes on it, but you are so right she did not let it go. I heard about the wet skirt all night!

I get a kick out of the portrait pictures, I have no idea what I am doing in them:rotfl:

We enjoyed having dinner with other people this trip so it was fun even with the poor service.
