Official March Trip Reports

Dalir - I have eaten at both locations. Your choice will hinge on the makeup of your party. Any little girls? Don't miss AH on your life. All adults, BOG is my favorite QS at any park.
AH is family style with limited buffet for breakfast. Many Norwegian foods so picky eaters beware. Lovely princess visits and Belle photo on your photocopies. I love to see the kids dance around the room for a special princess presentation.
BOG is upscale quick service for lunch. Food has French influence but not too fancy. Order cupcake for dessert and bring salad dressing from another qs. Drinks have refills!!
Also, I always consider where do I really want to be all day.
Enjoy! You have great options!

The kitchen sink was way too big for the three of us, lol, but the Mickey Pant's sundae was perfect.

The Kitchen Sink is WAY too big, I agree with you Terri. We saw the wait staff deliver 3 or 4 to customers with the clapping and chanting that goes with it during our visit. And I think I've seen that same Mickey-red-pants ice cream bowl at the MK at the Ice Cream store next to the Plaza Restaurant across from Casey's too. So you don't have to go over to Beach Club to get one of those (or the souvenir bowl).

Beaches 'n Cream is a cute restaurant but its small size and few tables is what makes it so hard to get. It was okay but not a candidate for a repeat visit anytime soon IMO.

Tiggerdad, I think your girls would like the smaller Mickey Pants sundae. Especially if/since the bowl is a keeper.

Bama Ed

PS - Now I am sad about the menu changes at BOG for dinner to a "prix fixe" menu (appetizer, entree, dessert) coming up if you want an entree. We hit it 3X for dinner in 2 recent trips and I was ready to do it again but not at $55. Soon it will approach CRT pricing. That's too much to pay except once in a blue moon for this ol' camper...

Ed, you are right, you can get one at the MK, but it does not have as much stuff in it. The one at B&C has brownies, Oreos and some other things. So Good! You do not have to have reservations for it, just get it from the walk up counter and then sit outside. And yes, you get to keep the pants.

And yes, you get to keep the pants.

I will say it: "well of course I want to keep my pants" before somebody else does... And it would go well with my WDW souvenir cup collection and Dole Whip bowl.

Our one day in the parks next month is using a park hopper pass (honestly never had one before). Was planning to start at DHS and move over to Epcot at lunchtime via boat. I could get a Beaches 'n Cream Mickey Pants then via the Intl Gateway. But MK is open till midnight so I could hop on the monorail, enter MK, and get Mickey Pants over there while hitting 3 parks in one day. Then boat back to the Fort and crash for sleep.

Can I leave the car overnight at DHS in its parking lot? And go back and get it in the morning?

Bama Ed

Ed you might want to consider using Beach club parking lot. Might want to have DD ask on your behalf or just use Disney transport to be safe

I would agree with Mike on leaving the vehicle at DHS. Leaving your vehicle at a resort parking lot such as the Beach Club or even the Boardwalk may not garner the attention of Disney security like it would sitting in an empty park parking lot.

Let the stalking begin, lol. Decided we would like to add Tuesday the 27th, so I will be stalking the reservation page daily.:surfweb:

We did Disney After Hours on March 1. We received our lanyards at 6:00 pm, and walked into the park. We targeted the little kids rides, first, and found the best fireworks viewing right at the exit drom Under the Sea. Not crowded at all. The crowds thinned to merely 2000 guests, and literally walked onto all the big attractions, and rode each many times. SDMT, BTMT, SM, and all the others. All the popcorn, drinks, ice cream sandwiches, etc free through the night. We stayed for the goodnight kiss, and did not get back to the Fort until 1:30 this am. Pricey, but a great adventure,
Jim, Teambur, and perhaps another are looking for Midwest DIS camping weekend this summer. Have you ever can
Moved at Thomson, IL, along the Mississippi. Great spot along Mississippi, and no trains. Weather is fabulous here, but missing seeing you, Barb and Bill.

Enjoying reading about your upcoming trips. Wish I could be there but will have to settle for enjoying the experience via your trip reports. Ed, I have the Mickey’s Pants bowl which holds a place of honour in our 5th wheel. DH and I enjoyed the sundae while people watching at MK.
Tiggerdad love your shirt. I can see a little side hustle for your DW. Perhaps fund a retirement plan.
I wish you all safe travels and a magical vacation.

March 24-31Preferred loops, I have been trying to get the 23 but does not look like it will happen. I guess we will have to stop some place for a aver night stay.
Welcome! Enjoy your Fort adventure.

I used the powers of Google to find out more on this After Hours thing.

We would be interested in a mid-west DIS meet. IL here! We also are thinking about coming up to Wisconsin to camp in the very near future. Any recommendation there? We plan to utilize the camper a great deal this spring and summer and temps will be a bit cooler in the north.

Melissa, how far in Wisconsin. We love Peninsula state park in Door County. About 4 hours from the Chicagoland area. Drive up through Milwaukee along the Lake Michigan shoreline the door. But the “Schilling” campground is very nice. We have a generator. And we might join you. Close by is also Yellowstone State Park, or Governor Sodge State park, near the House in the Rock in Dodgeville.
