OFFICIAL NOVEMBER 2017 THREAD

Just booked 4 nights at POR for 11/10-14 for DD13 and myself! DH takes 2 golf trips a year and this balances things out a bit
Our plans thus far:
Fri 11/10 fly into MCO on SW, take ME (first time ever!!) to POR
Sat 11/11 explore our resort, maybe some pool time?, 4pm ADR at Raglan Road, YeeHaw Bob that evening?
Sun 11/12 chill out, go to Poly for Dole Whip floats, then onto MK for MVMCP (our only time in the parks this trip)
Mon 11/13 resort exploring -- Boardwalk area since we want to stay here next April for a few nights for an EPCOT-only trip (staying on Anna Maria Island for a week after that), 6pm ADR at Frontera Cocina and shopping at DS
Tues 11/14 early departure
Hoping the Minnie van service will be available but if not, Uber will be used plus ferry for POR/DS

I'm so excited! Talked to DH last night and we agreed to add the HEA Dessert Party with Plaza viewing for our MK day! We are only doing 1 day at each park so I thought it would be worth it to do this and not have to spend extra time staking out a spot for viewing. Also if it helps us avoid shoving and overcrowding with our two kiddos during fireworks it's worth it! We are going to be celebrating my 40th birthday this trip so I figure any little things like this I can consider just more birthday celebration, right?

Yeah, I focused the conversation on "last time we went to WDW we had 2 days at MK, this time we only have one, and we wasted a lot of time claiming a good spot for fireworks. Also there was a parade to spread people out and that's gone now... Wouldn't it be worth it to have a designated area and not have to fight for it and oh we also get desserts and don't have to waste 2 hours?" Good luck!

I just used the same approach on my DH. But I'm not pushing it right now since he just agreed to a trip. First family trip since Dec 2012. We'll be there Nov 1-5.

I have 2 reservations I'm willing to swap? I think?

I thought my oldest daughter was going to have to fly home on Dec. 6th for school, but now she doesn't have to and can stay until we check out! Yay!

But that means that my 1900 Park Fare breakfast on Dec 7 at 8:05am for 2 people, needs to be for 3 people! And my Akershus breakfast on Dec 8 for 8:05am for 2 people needs to be for 3 people!

Do you think I can walk in with 3 if I don't have any luck finding reservations for 3 people instead of 2??

First try modifying the number of people where you see the modify button. I was able to modify a BOG 2 to 4 (although it doesn't always work) if it doesn't, I would keep checking for more. You have plenty of time to try and grab one for three or to try the modifying off and on.

OMG! It worked for 1900!! It let me modify my current one! Didn't work for Akershus but will definitely keep trying! Thank you!

I agree w others; try modifying! I got so lucky it let my bog dinner for 2 I found was able to modify to 3, what I needed! Keep trying to modify before cancelling, or call and see what they can do.

Thanks for the tip on modifying! Got my PPO at GG changed to 5 (from 4) in case my oldest can go! Had no idea you could do it that easy!

I discovered the modify by accident last year. I had a BOG for 7 and needed 8 and when I saw that decided to give it a try. More recently I found a BOG for 2 and was able to my surprise get it to 4 (now if only I could get that one to 6 I'll be every so happy because it's at the perfect time and perfect day but I don't want to go and leave my parents left out) but not bad for booking a month after the ADR's opened this year

And they released several Akershus ADRs yesterday afternoon for Dec. 7 & 8th!! Managed to find a 9:35am Akershus on the 8th!!

The only thing left to find now is a BOG lunch for December 7th!!!

I also got lucky with the change reservation option and was able to modify my BOG from 2 to 3 a while back. Such an awesome feature!

Beyond frustrated, I was up by 6 am at 180 days and had a BOG dinner reservation for 3 and when I went to book it MDE glitched and then I could only make it for 2. I haven't been able to modify or find a new reservation for 3. It says my reservation is for 2 adults leaving my 6 year old daughter off the reservation, anyone had any experience with this? Can we all 3 just show up?
