Magic Kingdom After Hours coming back (DAH); Reviews: Page 18 >>

Still not an advertised perk and no different than this event.
So you are thinking that even if they have the CM out front with the credentials at 4:00 you can't get in at that time with your event ticket? That your entrance is using different media?

I have not gone at 4 so I have not seen the setup. And I also haven't seen many folks talk about it here. I know that the DAH I went to, allowing folks in at 4 pm would have been 8 hours early, not fair to day guests. And I get the hours now are different due to winter park hours. The event itself doesn't even have set start times. I feel like it's all still in adjustment mode. I am just saying I am not willing to put on a forum that someone is guaranteed to get in at 4 pm at this point in time.

It doesn't matter at this event. Empty is no lines. Full is no lines. we're talking empty to the point that oyu can get on 7dmt with no waiting, except for the ride to come in so you can get in it. And if they don't need the seat when your done, you don't have to get off to ride it again.. the only way to get it emptier is to rent the whole place just for your family to be there.

I couldn't tell you who attends, you don't really run into anyone to ask. it's EMPTY.

and yes, I would pay much more if they did this on those stoopid crowded weeks.

THIS!!!!I think it's hard for us who haven't experienced this event yet to wrap our brains around the concept of EMPTY lol! Thanks for all the info :)
We won't get there before 7:00 anyway (even though we can). I think part of the magic for us is really experiencing a uncrowded park. 4 non busy hours is enough for us! Plus we are already getting an extra hour getting in at 7:00.

But that is exactly what it says for party tickets too. Pretty sure it doesn't list anywhere in writing that you can get in at 4:00. And you can, and have been able to, for years.

I think that is inaccurate. I've been told for party that it's enter at 4 and party festivities start at 7. After hours I'm being told enter at 7 and retold, and retold again and that they extras like free beverages and ice cream begins at park close (since it's 2 different start times depending on date you attend).

If disney is going to let you in at 4 and they let you in, great. I don't consider it a perk because they let you in, handed you the after hours lanyard. I am going to repeat what disney is saying to me and that does not match what they say to me about the parties. It's the matching wording that I think your incorrect, unfortunately the mnsshp and mvmcp sites are bare minimum basic overview at the moment to be able to look that up. I know what they told me (and yes told me, you had to call for after hours tickets) and that's enter at 7.

I'm just going to say the same I've been. It's enter at 7, event starts at close some have reported getting in at 4 with no problem. I think that's a fair way to report it. when they buy the ticket they will get told 7pm like I did and if they want to try at 4, that's up to them.

What do we think the odds are of getting this added to future months? April and beyond.

Hard to guess until it starts and we begin to hear if it's sold out, they are giving away massive amounts of tickets or it looks like 3000 people are there (btw, it's really hard to tell if there are 3000 people, 95% of everyone there is in some ride line at all times. I had friends and we never found each other either night.

Think out of the box if your attending. If you want to play the ride queue games, there is nobody there to get in the way and jump in and see all the interactive queues and skip the ride if you don't want it. If you wanted empty mk night pics, go take them. If you want your own boat, get in and let whoever your with get in the next boat. The one thing you need to watch out for is this is not rope drop, this is not run to the popular rides and go crazy because the line is about to get long. the lines dont' exist once everyone during the day is done riding. This is a key point, don't rush a popular you would want a fastpass ride at first. 7dmt, space mountain, etc etc is going to have lines when this first starts because the day ticket visitors have the normal rules. you get in at the closing, you ride no matter how long the wait is. jump in the rides with no lines while you wait the 30-40 minutes for hte populars to empty out and then you can sit on 7dmt for the rest of th night if that is what you want to do. when you get off space, they tell you follow the green line on the wall to quickly ride again (and you don't exit the building first).. This is not a normal night at the park, thre will be no lines once the lines clear out. you'll probably not even make the 3 hours. I was pretty much done 2 1/2 hours into it but we hit a few more cause we could..

I took this video at the last after party. This was msep that was scheduled at the start of after hours (yes day guests could stay) but it was delayed for technical issues and minor weather so it ended up happening an hour late and yes, day guests could stay. they could stay the whole time, they just couldn't ride anything. The person to my left is my daughter, you might see 1 or 2 more people the entire parade.. not a single non-castmember even touched the other side of the street.

This was the line for space mountain, the longest line of the night.

I know that for MVMCP this year they advertised entry at 4:00 pm. The pages are now shells for 2017 but I went on 12-22 and being it was my first WDW trip I paid **extreme** attention. And they advertised 4pm entry for MVMCP. And, of course, no one knows what that means for DAH in 2017.

I'm considering this for March but was wondering if you have to buy tickets in advance or if we can buy them day of, since it doesn't sound like they truly sell out.

It would depend on how the kids are doing and if we think they can last AND enjoy it (aka not so tired that they are cranky).

TIA!

I bought tickets for this event and they sent me a card for admission. This makes it seem to me that admission will not show up with magic bands, but that the card is required. Does that sound right?

We purchased tickets for January 27. I received an email with a PDF to print my tickets at home. But, when I looked at my MDE account, they were already showing up. I'm bringing the PDF just in case, but I'm hoping I won't need it.

Just link the card to yourself in MDE. bring the card if your concerned but it was the same last year except it was literally like 4 days notice before the first one and nobody could get a card mailed.

There was a long list of things disney did wrong to sell this event to people last year. So far, nothing has gone up in price in awhile, ap holders are getting treated well, the night before some of these is a dvc free party but not with full park and they are going to come out of that wanting more empty park. once this friday happens and the reports of how it's the same or different from last year happen, I think the flood gates are going to open up. I already have tickets for many nights.

So, we just missed this last year and I didn't really follow the patterns...If it's extended, do we think it will be scheduled around the Easter holiday- I'm traveling the week after Easter and would enjoy the opportunity to avoid the crowds...veteran Dis wisdom or speculation? :flower1:

your going to have to keep watching the calendar to see if it appear for your week. last year they didn't extend it (but they have since been extending magic mornings) so you never know. disney does wacky things so you never know.

Is anyone planning on attending this with a toddler? I would really love to experience this on our last night but we will have our 2 year old and will need to be up for the airport by 7a the next morning.... recipe for disaster??

My sister and I really want to do this! I'm hawking it every day! Thanks!

We are in the park that day/night. Would we have to leave and come back in again?
It's a walk from jungle cruise to the front gates and then back to Liberty tree for dinner.

Lol, for us, yes, it would be. What are the hours for your day? I'm going to 2/16 and park closes 8pm, so DAH is 8-11. Obviously late for a 2 year old still, but at least it's not 1AM.

Does your 2 year old sleep in a stroller?

You know your child best. My daughter with about 5-6 hours sleep wouldn't be happy but would be able to get up. Me on the other hand, I have no clue how I would react to waking up after that running around.
