Old Magic Bands/Fastpass plus Loophole Closed?

You need to link the MagicBands by yourself to the new MDE. Link the IDs on the underside of the MBs to the correct people in the new MDE.

Then, go to a kiosk and choose your FPs.

Do you need scan all the magic bands for your party or just us one and all in the party comes on the display?

Have all of them with you because the system initially just checks the RFID and not the others in the same MDE. Most report that after the first "grouping" at a kiosk, they no longer needed all MBs.

It doesn't hurt to have them with you if you want to save time.

I looked through this whole thread. Any ideas on what rides you can get for a SDFP at MK? We are going in May and just curious what rides would be available if I did this at RD.

If you have breakfast before the park opens at 8 am can you schedule these then or do you need to wait till the park actually opens at say 9 am?

The PP confirmed you can go to the kiosks before your breakfast. At least plan on trying on your way through the park.

So if I have old bands for everyone in my party already. I have a trip planned in Sept. I have not linked any tickets to yet as tickets were bought from UT. Could I create new phantom profiles for all of us on the same MDE account and link everything (tickets, room) to those new "people" instead of the old "people" before we select new bands to be mailed out. Then our old bands would be free for this strategy?
(I realize the main person on the room resie can't be moved but we have a toddler so that person could use their band, I think)
I'm not sure it's worth the effort but I'm just curious IF it would work.

Yes. The names on the room reservation will need to match the phantom names, with the exception of the lead name. The toddler band can be used by the "lead."

ETA: This will be easier and you don't have to change the reservation:
Change/Edit the names of all the original guests, not the lead, to phantom names. Add in your family again with the correct names that match the names on the reservation.

Link the tickets to the real-names people.

I know this is an old question, but just clarifying for others that I've been able to do this. I've used both the kiosks in Guest Relations right when entering the park (while DH went ahead with guests and got some quick pics for them on Main St.) and used the ones by Philharmagic en route to BOG before breakfast. At that one sometimes there's a CM wandering around there who tells you there's no one available to help you but if you know what you're doing they're not covered or anything and do work.

We did this last June 10 and the only things we couldn't get at MK were SDMT, A&E, PP, Wishes and the parades. We had a party of 3.

Take all the phantoms' MBs with you to the kiosk. Scan them and select FPs for the group.

We are booked for a split stay. Renting pts for the latter. Will we get two sets of magic bands? If so, we can use one of the sets for our tickets, room key, etc. and the other set to book extra fp? How would that work?

If both sets are linked to you, no. Both sets would be used to access your data from the MDE acct.

You'll receive two sets: clones and they'll link to all your data in MDE.

You won't be able to use any MBs for SDFP.

Are regular (solid color) MBs more expensive in the parks than they are through the Disney store website? Just wondering if we should buy our MBs beforehand online or if she can just get them at the park as I saw $19.99 in park listed here (which is more expensive than over the internet).

The in park price is $12.99.

The Shop Disney Parks app (for iPhones) has the same pricing as the parks and solid color MBs are $12.99.
