Congratulations I hope the next stage is as quick for you

Seems like it's taking a much shorter time lately for the ones that are passing over the ones that are being taken. The ones being passed lately are going through in 10-20 days, while the ones being taken are taking close to a month.

It would also be interesting to know if certain brokers are getting theirs passed quicker than others are.

Addonitis already, eh ;)?

Please post these details again when it's officially sent to ROFR and I'll add you!

Finally:
ustasmom---$85-$8500-100-AKV-AUG-100/15, 100/16, 100/17-accepted 10/16/15. Seller pays 2015 dues. Buyer pays 2016 dues, $425 closing and $195 admin fee. Sent to ROFR 10/27/2015.

I do have to say that I'm a bit grumbly as my first contract passed ROFR in 7 days and my second one took longer than that just to get a seller contract back. It just proves that every experience will be unique.

The waiting list is kinda skimpy! I was thinking yesterday would have had quite a few people passing (wishing/hoping I was included there), but it has been crickets.

What is your contract? Admittedly I would be nervous at day 28. And I would be checking in with my broker to make sure that I didn't fall through the cracks.

I emailed my broker at 14 days, 21 days, yesterday, and today. Lol. My contract is for 100pts VWL.

I was not trying to make them feel bad. I was just trying to help them understand why the contract was so appealing to DVD. I have also done significant research on DVC pricing and to get a completely fully load contract (2 years worth of points in 2015) for only $5 more than a similar contract that was just taken (with 0 2015 points) would have been a steal. I think it is important for people to have good information.

I knew as soon as I saw the posting of the contract going to right of refusal it was going to be interesting. How did i know that..... real Data from the Comptroller's website.

Haha, I knew that it would have been a steal too! (and yep, I knew what the data says) Luckily I can wait for the right contract to come along. It was definitely sad that Disney is getting such a great deal and I'm left looking for another, but I march on... None of the current contracts are very appealing because I know that the only offers I am willing to make on a contract that doesn't have points for almost a year would either be turned down quickly or ROFR'd even more quickly.

I'm just getting into this game and would agree with what you said, but I'm making the offers anyway. My thinking as a buyer is that it's better for me and other buyers if sellers keep getting those low offers (maybe they will eventually take one) and for Disney to RORF as I would think it would at least begin to lower the bar. I've been turned down twice, had one accepted only to have a contract problem, and have an offer in currently. I plan on renting points next year, so I'm in no hurry (although it's hard to show restraint).

lolakat---$105-BCV- 50- Sept- 0/15, 50/16, 50/17- sent Oct 13, Seller pays '15 MF, Buyer starts paying MF for '16, buyer pays closing cost which is $425. Buyer also pays $195 administrative fee to listing agent.

We PASSED ROFR on 10/23. Can't believe how fast it went! Only 10 days!! Our last 2 contracts purchase about a year ago took the full month. Now we are waiting for the rest of the process to finish up. I feel like we got an OK deal considering the current market and the small contract we were looking for.

YAY!!!!! Happy Dance!! :yay:
