EXPIRED: Part ONE of 2015 CLUB LEVEL (CL) INFORMATION and HELP Thread DO NOT POST HERE!!!

I am not up to date on this thread so I apologize if this has been asked before. We are currently at AKL. We have been here 2 nights. The only "kids" offerings each night are apples with caramel. Is this typical? We were expecting a little more for the kids.

There used to be a smallish set up for the kids to the left of the TV in the lounge. Fingers crossed for you that they still have it. Maybe ask the CM's for more information. Hope this helps.

Our experience was the same as this...there was a table to the left of the TV with different options for kids. I'd usually go check it out to see what they were offering and sometimes sneak gummy worms!

The small table on the side isn't there anymore. We have stayed here a couple of times but not since they have changed the evening offerings where the chef is actually cooking in the lounge.

That's a shame! I mean it sounds nice to have the chef cooking for adults but not to limit the options for the kids. I wonder if the CMs can get anything besides just the apples and caramel?

Hello,
This is my first post in the CL thread although I've been reading the posts for some while and have found them to be so helpful.

We're back in WDW in July (this will be our 21st trip) although only our second in club level. We stayed at the CR last summer and absolutely loved it so have booked RPC in a MK view. As we'll have a MK view are there any particular room requests that I should make?

Thanks for your help in advance - I'm so excited about this trip!

I can't help with MK view room suggestions, but I wanted to say you are going to love RPC. We've never stayed at the CR so I can't compare the two, but RPC is amazing! Have a great trip :wizard:.

So I've only stayed in a regular room at the WL twice, years ago, and they both had bunk beds, ( which was great at the time as our boys were small!!) All of our other stays there have been in the villas. Do the rooms with two queen beds feel more spacious than the rooms with bunk beds? Or does it even matter? I'm bummed we can't get a king bed! Oh well! :goodvibes

We have had both bunk beds and 2 queens at the WL and I didn't find one set up to be any more/less spacious than the other ;).

I'm going to ask tomorrow. Breakfast, snacks and desserts are still the same. They have also added boiled eggs at breakfast.

What kind of food does the chef cook? And I'm guessing that happens at hot app time?

Let us know what they say tomorrow and hopefully you are having a great trip!

Hi everyone :wave2:

A couple of quick questions!

At the Polynesian, do they still drive you from the front of the GCH to the Hawaii building in a golf cart?

Has anyone requested, and gotten, gluten-free foods in the Hawaii building??

Thanks! :sunny:

For us it has been about 50/50 with the golf cart. Sometimes they offered and sometimes not. It's really a short walk anyway. :)

Just booked WL CL to celebrate our 30th anniversary! :lovestruc We have stayed at the WL & VWL numerous times (it's our home resort)... Really looking forward to CL there! The only other CL I have experienced is AKL.

I have a few questions: are king beds available in the standard rooms? Are all the CL rooms located on the 7th floor? Are there any CL rooms with unobstructed balcony views?

I'm not sure about the king beds, but happy 30th anniversary! :D

Does anyone happen to know if there are any king beds in the Yacht Club lagoon view concierge category?

Ask Dee over on the YC/BC FAQ because she keeps a list of how many rooms of each category and what type of bedding options they come with. :D

Hi all! We are heading back to BC CL in 51 days - July 14-25. This will be our third year in a row staying there. We can't wait to see the renovations to both the lounge and the rooms! Our family has become accustomed to vacationing CL. We had originally planned on staying at POR this year and when I told our 12 year old daughter we were going to be at POR she asked if POR had Club Level. When I told her no she asked, "is it a dump?" Ha! They were all thrilled when my husband made the executive decision to stay BC CL. :-)

Thanks Erika for maintaining this thread!

My kids won't even go to WDW if it's not up to their high standards! LOL :D

What is the AKL lounge like outside of the main food serving times? I have the dxdp so will be eating out most of the time, or in my room if I'm having a late start to the day, but outside of these times I tend to only spend a morning in the park each day and like to relax in the cl lounge during the afternoon before heading out to dinner, for my other resort cl stays the lounge has usually been quiet in the afternoon, I just wondered if AKL was similar?

I've noticed the lounge can sometimes get a bit crowded during the afternoon check-in time. People will often wait there if their room isn't ready yet. But even at its most crowded I still find the lounge to be quiet and relaxing. The huge lobby and high ceiling just sucks all the sound away.

We just got back and we stayed BC CL and it was packed with kids! Young kids and Toddlers running up and down the hall at 7:30 am ALONE! We couldn't believe it, one afternoon a little boy lined up all the sugar cubes on their table and the mom didn't notice (she was texting the entire time) so finally she scoops them up and carries handfuls back to the bowls!!! We mentioned to a cast member and she said those kids have been doing that to all the food all week. It's not a daycare, one family's kids were in front of the TV snacking most of the times we went in. We found the Solarium to be much quieter so spent more time there.

I've always noticed an abundance of children at the BC CL. More than any other CL on property. Second place would probably be Poly CL.

Omg. After getting fed up with IPO and changing our reservation to save tons of money and get rid of CL, I repriced the rooms and it was only $40 difference (total) between two Arusha view rooms and 2 standard club level rooms! Guess we are CL again.

$40 difference is definitely worth it! :D Congrats!

Do standard CL rooms at AKL have bunk beds? Are there any adjoining rooms? TIA :)

We had bunkbeds at AKL CL last year. Since the CL rooms aren't in one particular designated area and are spread out and mixed with non-CL rooms I think they can probably take any room that is vacant and make it a CL room.

Yes it happens at hot app time. When we have stayed before there would be 2 hot apps and then cheeses, hummus, veggies etc. Now instead of the hot apps being out with the rest of the food, a chef has a small station beside the offering where he cooks the hot apps. Today was some kind of African stew and something that looked like bbq in a mini bread bowl.

If we are around, we tip prior to evening turn down. Sometimes we don't get back to the room between the first cleaning and turn down.

I don't always tip turndown because sometimes we don't come back, but I usually try to leave a couple of bucks if we do. I don't think it's a big deal, and sometimes I just give them extra money one day and none the next.

The only request I would make is to be near the lounge, but that's just a personal decision. I like to be close because my teenagers go back and forth a lot. Really all the MK view rooms on CL are great. :D

I actually prefer the feel of the non-bunk room because it feels more open even though it has less floor space. Does that make sense? To me when I walk in and have that obstruction of the super tall bunks right in front of me it's an eyesore.
