Hey everyone!
At VWL, are the studios rack rate cheaper than the WL studios? Just wondering. Need a room in disney with 3 beds, heard VWL studios have 3 beds.

The VWL studios have one queen bed, one double sleeper sofa and a murphy bed that is larger than a crib but smaller than a twin sized mattress. There are no studios at WL, just hotel rooms and suites. No villas or studios in the main building.

Anyone know what kind of coffee the machines in the villas take? Couldn't figure out if they were a pod system or old school one. I only like dark roast coffee and the disney stuff does not cut it

The villas still have the Mr Coffee style that used basket filters and ground coffee. Or the prefiltered pouches like they leave in the room on each service day. Usually 10-12 cup coffee maker. Bring extra filters if you want to make coffee with grounds. They aren't provided.

Hey everyone!
At VWL, are the studios rack rate cheaper than the WL studios? Just wondering. Need a room in disney with 3 beds, heard VWL studios have 3 beds.

There are deluxe suites at WL with two queen beds and a pull out sofa. They come with club level access (although they are not on the same floor as the Old Faithful Club). On average, they run $200-300 more than a studio at VWL depending on current promotions and discounts.

The studios at VWL have a queen bed, a pull out sofa and a murphy bed for one smaller adult or child. They do NOT have club level access but do have a kitchenette with a microwave, toaster, refrigerator, and coffee maker. Depending on discounts, a studio can only be around $20-30 more a night than a woods view 2 queen room at WL. However, that really depends on the discount being offered. They also fill up quickly.

Hope that helps :)

Planning our first stay at the WL. We usually stay at POR. In one section of their food court there are microwaves and toasters. Is there such a section at WL?

Our flight was 2hours late so when magical express stopped at poly dd and I got off for lunch at Kona :) We then took mono to MK and boat to WL. We arrived around 2:45p . Our room was ready 7046 with a view of the castle, MK, cr and the monorail:cool1:

CMs here are so friendly:goodvibes

The food is yummy!!! (CL) I had the bacon wrapped scallops , hen pot pie, tomato caprese (sp?) and some fruit!!!

The cobbler at 8p was amazing! How to describe that crust???:confused3: :cheer2:

I am in bed listening to the sounds of Disney, boat horns, busses, and the water pageant :yay:

Yay! Other than the 2 hour delay, sounds like a wonderful arrival day! The CL offerings sound quite good. I think I'll go easy on the fixed price dinner ADRs while staying CL at WL. Thanks so much for the live report and the happy thoughts!

We are planning to have lunch at the Poly on our arrival day. My husband wanted to get off the Magical Express at the Poly and then check into the WL after lunch. But I want to go straight to the lodge. I am never comfortable until I check in. Plus, I love the "Welcome Home" greeting from the CM and walking into the lobby from those doors. :goodvibes We have only five more days until we hear that greeting. :)

I like the sound of the boat horns, too. I'm hoping we get a north wing room. We booked woods view. :)

Today's the day! Getting last minute things packed up and then we are off to the airport!
Hopefully all flights are on time and travel goes smoothly...cannot wait to land in Orlando and get the Magical Express...and then walk into the WL :cheer2:

Since we're getting very close to 250 pages, I've been updating/revising the thread for re-posting. It's a lot of work so it keeps me from posting timely replies and multi-quotes, but I hope to have the new thread up this week. I'll post the announcement here and put out the welcome mat when it's ready for visitors:)

During our only club level stay at the YC in 2013 we politely asked for water each morning before we left the lounge, the concierge staff were always happy to give us some very cold bottles of Dasini bottled water however they did also offer Evian too. I would guess the OFC staff would be happy to oblige you. It was so wonderful to have such attentive and lovely staff to make sure our stay was as magical as possible, I hope everyone gets such service on their vacations too.
Just want to make sure everyone knows that individual bottles of water were discontinued last year. In the summer, YC was one of the last CLs that still had some inventory, but I was told that when they ran out, they would no longer offer any to guests.

Just wanted to ask, can you add us to the Log please? We will be there from August 12th 2015 to August 26th 2015. So looking forward to our upcoming stay, we never actually thought this was gonna happen but Disney helped to make it possible :woohoo: Planning our ADRs at the moment since we both have a couple of days off work at the same time yay:cloud9: We booked a woods view room and are hoping to make the most of the dining options close by and catching the EWP at long last.
Congratulations on booking and I'll log your dates.

Checked in this morning.
My parents who are staying VWL are in the last deluxe studio room of a wing...not the best, and I probably should have asked for near the elevators.
But they had it good at AKL so it's a trade off ;)

We checked in and our room was ready right away (about 9:30am)
Now, here's what I had requested.
Higher floor, no higher than floor 5 and inner courtyard view.
We got.
2135. The view was of a rock wall and walking path.
Not gonna work.
Went down and requested another room that was higher.
Told there wasn't one ready yet. That's ok! Because I didn't come from BCV where my 'Theme Park View' was some trees and a road to look at a rock and people walking at WL :rotfl:
All is well now and we are in 5137 which is right beside where we stayed in April (5135).
Love the Lodge, scaffolding is up on the south wing beside the Bear Face and they are doing some painting outside.

Also, for those wondering, we transferred our luggage from BC to WL and there was NO fee to do so (I know there was a rumour they were going to start charging).

Now, to rest my weary feet....
Thanks for the update and have fun with your parents and DH.

Do you make your room requests before doing online check in? We booked with Orbitz.
I don't know how room requests work with Orbitz, but I believe since they "own" the reservation, you must go through them to have any requests added to your reservation. You can do that at the time of booking or you can call them later and ask that they have your request added. OCI room requests are very limited and sometimes not even relevant to your booking. I always have requests added when I book so I can be more specific.

We'll be arriving at the WL one week from today. :cool1: We had Mickey waffles for breakfast to celebrate. :woohoo:
You are one lucky Lodger! You practically live at the Lodge:worship:. Hope we get some new photos:)

Yippee! I changed my reservation from direct through Disney to through Orbitz and I now have a Woods Bunk + Queen for less than the Woods 2 Queens.

This will be great for my kids, I think.

Thanks to the PP who asked about noise, and the reply with the horns from the boats. I have to think about this. Not sure how this will affect sleep so I may opt for a south wing room request.
:thumbsup2

Are there showers around the main pool or quiet villas pool that you can use for getting ready to fly home after you have checked out of your room please? Thanks.

Subscribing....will be staying at WL for the first time in May for my birthday! Can't wait! :cheer2:
What a great birthday you're going to have!

Anyone know if they changed the meatloaf at WCC? Is it no longer buffalo?

Buffalo isn't mentioned:
Right Neighborly's Meatloaf - with mashed yukon gold potatoes, seasonal vegetables and smothered mushroom gravy $22.49

So exciting! Please check in with us if you get a chance and safe travels!

Ahhh!! Reading all of the updates has me missing Disney more than usual. My boys wanted to see my signature ticker this morning and were saying, "Ugh! Why can't it be ONE month? or just one WEEK until we go??"

Drinking coffee out of my WL mug this morning and living vicariously through all of you who are checked in now and checking in soon!

We will be at the WLV in April. We have 2 sets of grandparents going to but they will be staying at the lodge both have a courtyard view room --2 rooms. Do we need to request anything special for this? I know we will be in a different building so I didn't think we needed to request anything. Your thoughts?
