Lia & Jess's Hot and Fancy Halloween and Christmas Party Trip! ~ NEW TR POSTED 9/2!!!

NOVEMBER 4, 2013
Day 6, Part 1 In Which I Get Mouse Approval On My Art

TODAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WAS THE DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I WOULD SEE HANSON IN EPCOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Today was just gonna be an unreal day. Oh my GOD DISNEY AND HANSON. LET'S GO LET'S GO!!

That came later though. In the morning, Jess had to go to school and I had to go to Hollywood Studios!

14853392875_85804b894e_o.png

YAY

Instead of taking notes for my TR, I usually go by the pictures on my phone. Like, I take photos of things that I never plan on posting, that don't necessarily look good, just so I remember moments and the order in which I did things. Since I lost my phone pictures, I really have no idea what I did when I got to the park. I just can't remember.

Sorry.

Random picture time!

(????)

I was very hungry, so I needed to get a cupcake. The line for Starring Rolls was out the door, but look, it's Starring Rolls.

WORTH THE WAIT.

BYPJQ3GIYAADs4a.jpg

I was very amused because while in line, I noticed several Hanson fans, which brought on a familiar feeling. I've traveled pretty extensively to see Hanson since age 13, and it's the greatest feeling when you get to a town you've never been to before after hours of travel and you see someone with a Hanson shirt on or you recognize their face from many shows past. You know that they've come a long way too, cause you've seen them in Minneapolis or Tulsa or Boston, and it's like you belong to this global club that goes where the action is. Today, the action was in Walt Disney World, which could not have been better for me, cause if you haven't noticed... Disney is kinda my thing.

I had gone over to a bench to eat my cupcake, and one of the Research CMs came over to me to ask me some questions. I was hoping he would ask about something I could flail and fangirl over, specifically "What do you think of Epcot's Eat to the Beat Concert Series starring Hanson, aren't they just the best?" Instead, he asked about the My Disney Experience app. I am not a huge fan of this app. In general, most apps just drain your battery... I would much rather use the mobile version of the MDE site.

It didn't last very long, and at the end he took my e-mail, but I never got anything from them so I don't know what that was about.

I saved some of my cupcake for later cause I was in the mood to travel through some flawless moments in classic film.

@babybritney: Oh you know just crying in the great movie ride line cause Casablanca is perfect. Bogart, now there's a guy id get hung up on.

Yeah, I did tear up when the Casablanca trailer came on! It just gets me every time.

14585993819_1ed010cedf_o.jpg

I really enjoyed the ride even more than usual. This was one of those days where I was just SO APPRECIATIVE of everything in Disney. I was so happy and in the moment and truly felt 100% that feeling of home.

I went over to Animation after that and straight into my beloved drawing class! We drew Minnie Mouse, and again, mine wasn't that good! Between this and Elfin Rapunzel, I was slipping!! WHAT IS HAPPENING TO MY TALENT?????????

14666993408_3ce782157a_o.jpg

It's okay, I was happy to try out drawing a character that I had never done before, and plus, Minnie was right next door! I decided it would be perfect if she could sign my drawing, so I headed right back into the building after class let out.

I was distracted, however, by a table that was set up. There were copies of drawings spread out on it with an animator sitting and coloring one in. There were two little girls and a mom sitting there too. I kind of wanted to sit down too, but I felt awkward. Then, just as I was about to pass by... I stopped dead in my tracks!

There was a print of EUGENE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Awkwardness be damned, I'm an adult and I want to color my prince!!! Move aside, children!

"Hi!!!!!!!!!" I said to the animator, "Can I draw Flynn Rider?!" He said sure. So I sat down, picked up a colored pencil, and got to work!

The little girl next to me was sooo cute. She kept wanting to use whatever colored pencil I was using, and her mom kept insisting she let me finish and apologizing to me. I didn't really mind though, I was in no rush and she was so adorable! So I just kept handing 'em over.

I made Eugene's eyes blue, and the animator asked me if they were really blue. I told him that they were brown, but the brown colored pencil had been snatched from me by my new friend so today they were going to be blue!

He said he thought they actually might be blue but he couldn't remember. I said, "Hmm, maybe." in my "I'm being polite so I don't sound like a know-it-all, but you are in fact wrong, sir" voice. I knew they were brown from watching Tangled approximately 7,389 times. He searched in his box o'drawings for a pre-colored version of the Flynn print, but he couldn't find one.

My finished product!

14586162997_d87aef75fe_o.jpg

Husband.

Once I was done, I went to get in the line for Minnie Mouse! There was still no sign there, but at least there was a CM at the entrance this time. I asked if Minnie's attendant would have a pen, because I really wanted her to sign my drawing but I had nothing to write with! I was actually gonna go ask if I could borrow a colored pencil from my new animator friend if not. She told me that yes, either the attendant or Photopass Photographer should have a pen, and if not, to come back to her and she would get me one.

That ended up not being necessary, cause the attendant did give me one. Again, the line was almost non-existent, yay!

I showed Minnie the drawing and of course she seemed stunned and astounded at my talent. I told her it wasn't perfect but for my first time I thought it looked pretty good. She gave me the thumbs up in agreement and seemed very happy with it!

14770286444_511cd0ca9e_o.jpg

I think from now on I'll request Mouse Approval on all my drawings.

I thought about what I wanted to do next, and honestly I just wanted to draw again! The park was pretty busy and I was just like, I'm hiding out with the animators in here.

I was very happy to see my favorite animator teaching the class this time! I've talked about him before. He is so talented and able to explain things in a way that makes sense to me.

14770286324_4783d4d96e_o.jpg

I was so excited because he said we would be drawing MIKE WAZOWSKI! Yay!!! He took a vote on whether we wanted to draw young Mike with braces & a baseball cap or adult Mike like in the original film. I wanted younger Mike really bad, just because that seemed like a more rare opportunity, but it was almost unanimous for Monster's Inc age Mike. Oh well.

14772643175_1738c55582_o.jpg

Woooo!!! Clearly, I was back on my game. Go me!

I went downstairs to see if there was anything else I wanted to & check out how long the Ralph & Vanellope wait was.

14749632116_b4edc50d09_o.jpg

I checked the Wait Times, and Toy Story Mania said 30 minutes! I couldn't believe that it would be so short at this time of day, especially because the park was pretty crowded. I was really doubting that and thinking that it was probably way longer. It was around lunch time now, and I just couldn't imagine how it would be so short in the middle of the day.

I went over there and LOOK

BYPt8AWCAAAm4xu.jpg

I have literally never seen it so empty in there with the exception of the time that I got there so early that I was one of the first guests on the ride. I was SO HAPPY!!! WOOOOOOOOO

14772306802_2a81a9e6c1_o.jpg

This was such a fun surprise. The line ended up being less than 25 minutes, so I hopped right back on after getting off, of course!

14586003588_62860448c9_o.jpg

14666723090_210d13eddb_o.png

That was so great. I don't understand it! Someone tweeted me to say that lines always go down around lunch time, which I understand, but Toy Story Mania is not often a 25 minute line even during low crowd times! And this was a BUSY day. Guess I just have pixie dust following me around. :D

From there I headed down Sunset to see if I would have the same luck at my Tower, but there was some Streetmosphere going on, so I decided to just stop and watch their entire skit.

My favorite Hollywoodlander was out! It's EVIE STARLIGHT!!!!

NOVEMBER 4, 2013
Day 6, Part 2 In Which Evie Starlight Goes To The Brown Derby With...

Here's what was going on. Evie is a major Hollywood star who all the men go crazy for. She is not the most intellectual, but they love her anyway. You can check her out telling the story of Cinderella here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xdsf0oSt5_o "Hey, I found this shoe! Would anyone here happen to fit into this because I've been all around the country and apparently nobody has this size foot. At all. In the entire Kingdom. No one! So, this is the last house on the block in Jersey, so I thought somebody here might be able to fit into it!"

There were two actors fighting over who would get to ask her on a date. One was Beau Rangler, a cowboy western star. He is always trying to convince Evie to get into his car so he can take her to the Brown Derby. You can meet him here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9Z91HNGlBkY

14666790689_f4106f2e73_o.png

14853394625_255412a08b_o.png

Then there's Ace Victory, who's an Academy Award winning actor and an all-around sweetheart. Evie has stood him up on dates before, not because she doesn't like him, but because she's just a bit forgetful. He waits for her every time!

14666791618_a129419166_o.png

14853071332_f7fa3ed7e0_o.png

14850953384_6ec9bc3cbe_o.png

Beau and Ace went on and on, back and forth telling Evie why she should pick them.

14850953674_e045a6a1b5_o.png

For instance, Ace pulled out his Oscar, which Evie was very impressed by. But then, Beau pulled out his very own action figure, and Evie couldn't believe her eyes! Beau made a pretty convincing case of why his action figure was so much better than an Oscar... poor Ace!

14850953894_6ca39095e6_o.png

14666869697_e64c8c2de6_o.png

I just love Evie's faces so much. I am mildly obsessed with her.

14666791788_97d43317ec_o.png

My favorite is when she would make a face like this and then look at the crowd like, "WHAT are these bozos doing?" You know, tale as old as time: guys acting a fool trying to impress girls.

14830416696_593ecfc18e_o.png

She decided that there would be an audience vote. We had to clap and cheer for either Beau or Ace, which one should she go out with? It was pretty close, but Ace seemed like the clear winner.

"You guys think I should go out with Ace???" Evie asked us one last time as Stone Granite, Hollywood's top Talent Agent, drove up in his fancy car!!!

14666868527_9b80f95e02_o.png

He said, "Evie!!! Would you come on? We're gonna be late for our date at the Brown Derby!"

14850952864_9d64a9279e_o.png

Everyone was laughing so hard. Ace was like, "Evie, why didn't you tell us that you already had a date with Stone tonight?" Evie said, "Well I TRIED to but you two wouldn't stop talking and fighting the whole time!!!"

14666790868_36b8d90fb5_o.png

14666790818_aa1eaa0f77_o.png

It was a riot. And a good lesson!!! Boys maybe if you shut up and listen to us once in awhile, you'll learn some valuable information!!

14586003558_d99892e2fb_o.jpg

*Sigh* It was so perfect. I enjoyed the hell out of that. Disney really does an incredible job of choosing performers. I'd bet anything they have some people from Second City, UCB, the Groundlings, etc performing there, cause they are all so on their game. I'm really happy I have improv training from UCB cause I gotta figure out how to get that job!! HIRE ME DISNEY!!!!

From there I paid a visit to my good old Tower. The wait was about 20 minutes, not that I cared. WORTH IT. Then I went over to Rock n Rollercoaster, where I braved the very unpredictable Single Rider Line. This puppy can have you on your way to Aerosmith in 5 minutes flat, or it can take just as long as the Standby line. MOST of the time it is a reliable way to get up close in personal with ST, but once it made my mom and I tooootally late for breakfast! So just a warning there.

Luckily, pixie dust was on my side today and it only took about 10 minutes! YAY #sololife!!

14666790289_2653c138c2_o.png

Hot and fancy even at extreme speeds!

I guess Stone and Evie had finished their dinner by the time I got back from the Aerosmith concert, because they were with some other Citizens of Hollywood performing the ever-famous "Funniest Citizen of Hollywood" competition!

14853070522_de9d9f1447_o.png

Look at Evie and Beau here, hahaha. Clearly he was still not happy about what happened earlier.

Basically during this competition, each contestant goes up to the mic and does some Stand Up material. They argue over who is the funniest and then let the audience vote, generally, but there are a few different versions of this.

Ace made a little friend!

NOVEMBER 3, 2013
Day 6, Part 3 In Which We Grill in the Garden and See HANSON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I love this picture so much. They're all so fantastic.

14666867607_494643e6ba_o.png

After that I left Hollywood Studios. I know that. And I know that more Streetmosphere was at it on the way out.

14666720860_b20063bd36_o.png

I do not remember ANYTHING else until Garden Grill.

Cause YEAH!!!!!!!!! WE HAD RESERVATIONS AT ONE OF THE BESTEST RESTAURANTS IN THE ENTIRE WOOOORLLLDD!!!!

I had booked this far in advance. It worked out perfectly because Jess couldn't get there until a certain time because of school, and Hanson was playing, so we had a pretty small window for dinner and they had the exact time.

It was VERY important that we ate here because we are both completely obsessed. Everything about Garden Grill is simply wonderful. The food is delicious, obviously a pretty important thing to consider when booking dinner. But hello... MICKEY MOUSE (in OVERALLS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!), PLUTO, CHIP, AND DALE are there! And the place spins! It's not every day that you spin whilst eating like 4 different kinds of meats and hanging out with rodents! Disney is the best.

Also... the macaroni and cheese is topped with Goldfish, let's just let that little genius idea sink in. Walt is truly looking down from the Heavens thrilled at these decisions.

We had a lot of fun here just like we ALWAYS DO. And by "always do" I mean this was my second time there.

Once we were seated by the lovely Carlos, I just started to freak out. I was going through this "I can't believe how good life is right now" moment. First of all, I was in Disney World. If you guys don't know, I love Disney World a TON! Like, moved to tears and one of the only places I feel a true sense of calm and peace. You know what the other place that happens is?! Hanson shows! You know what was happening after Garden Grill? HANSON SHOWS! THREE OF 'EM! In DISNEY WORLD! I know I'm repeating myself here, but... the euphoria is really not something that can be captured in words. Let's move on!

Okay here's WHAT. It's really hard for me to remember a lot of this because I was basically drunk on every possible emotion and also, lost photos! But I can tell you this: there was a WHOLE LOT of food eating and character meeting, guys. Whoa. WHOA.

Most of them came up to us more than once and they were all really attentive and awesome and loved us dearly. Like I said, Garden Grill is a must do.

I showed Mickey some love.

14586162717_b7c1bd7e28_o.jpg

I *adore* this picture. Sigh. I miss you, Mickey Mouse.

@babybritney: Mickey Mouse. There is no one better!

Chippys!

14832899652_bc3909d86d_z.jpg

I LOVE this next picture.

14646546220_5dbdee9fda_z.jpg

First of all, Jess is adorable so let's just get that out of the way. Second, I took this picture kind of by accident, and I'm proud of it because I think it just looks really natural, as if they are just chillin. I think because I have seen approximately seven million photos of Jess posing/smiling normally with characters, this one just stands out. They look like buddies who I just happened to capture. It's great. Bravo, me! And thanks to my great models, Jess and Chip!

This moment was so hilarious.

14646638348_ec515abb83_z.jpg

We were taking pictures with Dale and Mickey didn't quite know what to do. Like, he finished with a table and then turned around and saw me taking the photo, and he didn't know if he should turn around and try and get out of it, or come forward, or what. So he just kind of looked around and stood there awkwardly. Then he walked a couple steps and froze. It's amazing I was able to get a non-blurry photo because it was SO HILARIOUS that I could not stop giggling. He just looked so awkward and it killed me. Oh Mickey.

Then Dale almost ate my head but I was okay with it for the most part.

14670100440_e93e734406_o.png

THE PUPPY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

14830907614_d453a3dda4_z.jpg

14646546300_32e29bd7a9_z.jpg

Jess went to the bathroom toward the end, and so that left time for another hilarious interaction. Chip had already come to the table, but that didn't really matter to him because he still wanted to hang with me! He acted really flabbergasted that I was alone and was trying to ask me where my friend was, but you know, it's hard for Chippy to get his words together sometimes. Through extensive miming, I understood the concept. He ended up sitting down with me which was great. I needed him cause I get pretty sad during those moments when Jess leaves me to use the restroom. If only I ALWAYS had chipmunk company.

@babybritney When characters sit down with you during meals I'm just like OMG my whole life has lead to this flawless moment

14853611872_52356dcbfd_o.jpg

It was selfie time.

14585936190_98b1c358fd.jpg

We were about to leave, but then Mickey wanted to hang out with us again! We did not mind AT ALL. I mean, I was kind of on a Hanson deadline here, but for my main mouse... anything.

14853126553_6c07227561_z.jpg

Yeah Mickey, you show off those overalls! Look at us matching in our denim. The perfection.

So then Mickey started INSISTING that we get a group picture, which he was trying to explain to us and then his attendant who was pretty far away. The attendant was busy and so it kind of took awhile, which was fine because you know, the more Mickey time, the better. To his absolute delight, we finally got the picture!

14646545780_3cd4fe31c1_z.jpg

I don't know what I am doing. It cracks me up because like, what IS my arm? LOL. I was too happy to pose!!! I WAS ABOUT TO SEE HANSON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Before heading out, we had this photo taken.

13319781253_638cfc13ea_z.jpg

I love this picture of us. We are just so cute.

Jess's friends were in Epcot and so they texted her asking if she wanted to meet up. We were kind of in a rush to make it for Hanson, so we decided that while I used the bathroom, she would run over to Club Cool and meet up with them, and then I could join them and we would head over to America to see my boys!

I went to the restroom and exploded. Unlike most bathroom explosions, this one was REALLY pleasant and the happiest I can recall being in, you know, like my whole life? I mean, with the exception of other flawless Hanson moments such as me asking Taylor to play a song and him doing it for me with the preface of "We got a lot of requests tonight, but I wanted to play this one", and yes I will bring that up over and over again forEVER because it was the best thing that's ever happened in the history of good things, and even if I die tomorrow or the entire rest of my life is a useless waste, it really doesn't matter because of that moment and these moments and every minute I spend in Disney, or seeing Hanson, or both. These are the things that make my life what it is, and in the spirit of Penny Lane and Stillwater, it was truly ALL happening. I say "It's all happening" a lot, especially pertaining to Hanson, but in this particular moment it really was all happening.

@babybritney: YOU GUYS I CAN'T LIKE I JUST MET MICKEY PLUTO CHIP AND DALE AND ATE GREAT FOOD WITH MY FAB FRIEND JESS AND HANSON IS HERE I CAN'T TAKE IT

@babybritney: I AM SO HAPPY LIKE SOMEONE CALM ME DOWN I NEED A SEDATIVE

Check out this obnoxious Vine of me sailing out of the Land: https://t.co/el86X1Zjuz

I basically hopped into Club Cool like a rabbit ready for action. I probably scared Jess's friends, who were SUPER nice and from Coronado Springs. As soon as they saw me, they started showering me with compliments on my Halloween costume, which continued to be awesome. I loved them, but Hanson.

OH

MY GOD

14810277696_e6b65a4ff2_z.jpg

IT'S THE BAND OF MY LIFE! Guys, let's just get one thing straight here: I love Hanson. There was a lot of crying and screaming and explaining things to Jess. She was pretty awesome about the whole Hanson thing. I am a lot to handle. There are people who can not totally deal with the Hanson thing. I am intense. Unless you are a huge Hanson fan or Hanson themselves, you are not getting this intensity on any level and will probably want to back away from me and maybe protect yourself with some kind of blunt object, and that's cool. Jess was very curious about the whole thing. She had asked me in the past why I loved them SO deeply and what the whole deal was. I had told her many stories, which only seemed to intrigue her more, which made me love her like 10x more than I already did. So really, this worked out for all of us.

These were your pretty standard, up beat Hanson songs that they do at these kind of events. Mostly singles and stuff they play a lot. The setlists were a bit better the next day for me personally, but WHO CARES.

I FREAKED when they played Lost Without Each Other, though. Oh dude. I screamed so loud. Not when they were singing with their flawlessly angelic voices or anything, I'm not THAT girl. But you know, at the very beginning and end, just bloody murder. I don't know how else to expell that much excitement. LWEO is one of their most uptempo crowd pleasing songs ever and reminds me of being 14 so much that it makes my heart ache a little bit, especially for their summer tour that year, which I was actually on exactly 10 years ago right now! They played LWEO a lot back then, and you always knew it was coming because Isaac would get out his red guitar. When that red guitar comes out, he means BUSINESS.

Very shoddy quality Hanson Vine: https://vine.co/v/hj2uFjgqD16

At some point we took these.

14830907894_50bb833d0f_z.jpg

I remember sweating to death and RUNNING to get beer in between sets, you know, typical Disney behavior. I was just in this Hanson fervor and Jess would like, explain to everyone we came in contact with that I had just seen my favorite band and stuff. It was HILARIOUS, like as if to say "She isn't mentally ill, it's just that Hanson is here."

We also ran around World Showcase a good deal in between the sets. I definitely got the color changing Guinness again, and I was super excited to have my Food and Wine gift card bracelet.

BYRbRqpCQAACioc.jpg

I just remember this night as being a ridiculous blur of fun and happiness, like if the best feelings in the world were a pool and I jumped in and then drowned. It was great!

In fact, during In the City, Hanson's very last song that night, I completely lost my mind and rushed the stage! It was fine because they are used to me, and I didn't climb on top of it or try and attack them or anything. You know, I have boundaries!

Taylor goes MENTAL during In the City because he doesn't have to play piano. I've already covered this in my TR but basically he climbs things and runs around and jumps off the piano and just in general makes Mick Jagger look pretty boring and still. Imagine my immense delight when he ran to the edge of the stage and grabbed all of us and sung in our faces. Most of the best nights of my life involve that happening at some point, so it only made sense.

I found Jess afterward and she said I was so completely in my element and it was so fun to watch. She had kept asking me, song after song, what the names were and stuff. She paid attention and had favorites! It was great. She started going on about how perfect Hanson was and I was like, "Who?" because I hadn't really been paying attention but some band did play at the Food and Wine Festival, or at least that's what I heard on Twitter.

@babybritney: I can't believe I get to see hanson again tomorrow I AM SO EXCITED I mean I should be used to it after 50 some shows BUT IM NOT

I am really not used to it. If I'm ever used to it then just kill me cause life's over. But really, I could NOT believe that it was all happening again the next day. I was so over the moon this night, I can't even tell you. It was beyond my normal insane level of Hanson joy and just reached this "Her brain may explode" place.

My throat was not really responding well to this thing I was doing where I was letting the loudest sounds ever heard by mankind bellow out of me, GOOD THING THE CHEDDAR CHEESE SOUP BOOTH WAS ON OUR WAY OUT!

14670262947_e1806e6479_z.jpg

Sigh. Do you ever just feel like life is perfect? I mean, on top of everything... I get cheddar cheese soup too? What next?!

We went shopping and separated at some point. I was on the phone with my dad for awhile and I when I got off and looked for Jess, I found her sitting in the corner.

14586162587_d34e659ee3_o.jpg

It cracked me up. If you wander around Disney long enough, you will eventually find a Frump on the floor.

Bye Epcot! See ya REAL soon for 3 more Hanson shows!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We pretty much lost Brooke in the parking lot. I can't. It was a good 45 minutes from the time we hit the area that we thought she was in until we found her. I don't think I have ever challenged my legs so much as I did on this day (until my birthday trip...).

I don't even know how to describe this because it has so many inside jokes in it but basically we had more laughs in that parking lot in what was not a great situation than most people have during the best of times. I was just on the most ridiculous Hanson & Disney high and I had apparently taken Jess with me to wonderland and we were d-y-i-n-g. Jess was saying the funniest things I have ever heard come out of her mouth. It was like when you finally get your one friend drunk, except she hadn't drank at all. At one point she just went on this giant tangent about life and then included Hanson lyrics, and then said I DON'T KNOW WHERE MY CAR IS!!!!!!!!! at the end of it and I fell down laughing.

When we finally found Brooke, it was like finding King Tut's Tomb, except a way bigger deal because WE DIDN'T HAVE TO USE OUR LEGS TO WALK ANYMORE *AND* we could blast Hanson. Which I had technically already been doing from my phone, but it sounded much better through Brooke's speakers!

The party continued back at Pop Century, where I grabbed a King Cupcake and we stayed up pretty late jamming to Hanson in the room while I told Jess like 789 stories about them. It was one of the most fun nights ever.

Super glad that Gina got to come hang out with you for at least a little it! BFF adventures always make this more fun!!

I HAVE to stay at BC some time! And I've done a night at YC but I want more! I definitely plan on doing it again during my program, so if you're down again between Oct & Oct you're more than welcome to have a sleepover :rotfl:

The BW area is just so beautiful & pretty no matter what time of day! There's just something so relaxing about it. Man, I just belong by the sea/a large lake! It needs to happen! Darn these land locked provinces! :rotfl2:

I'm so glad you're able to have so much fun solo in Disney! I guess some people just can't do it, but you're just amazing and awesome! That last guest thing sounds seriously amazing, I feel like I'd be freaked out though! Sometimes I've been with a friend and we're the only people on a ride vehicle and it's creepy! Space would be so scary, bahah!!

Yay for christmas! And macaroons! and Disney bathroom selfies!!

Can't wait to read more!

It was great but next time she is going to be with us the whole time and that will be even greater, woo!

SLEEPOVER AT THE BEACH CLUB. Omg. That would be so fun!!

Thank you so much! You are too sweet! I'm an only child so I guess I'm used to doing the solo thing.

All of the Jim Shore statues are gorgeous!! Friends of mine brought the Belle one back from their honeymoon for me because I helped out with some of the little things the day of their wedding.

Isn't he amazing? I want all of them but that Tangled one is my favorite!

Honestly, Mickey Waffles should be served all day. End of discussion.

Awww, not sure if you meant me for the welcome mat photo because  Disney Resort Welcome Mats Rule!!!

OMG I love those sand castle pictures. Actually I think I need to own one.

Ahhh Jesse tribute!!! And I totally have that WDW magnet in your right hand!!

Hmmm, that's interesting about the car decal falling off so easily. Someone just gave me the Mickey head one but I haven't attached it yet. I'll have to keep that in mind.

Oh you tease with your MNSSHP costume, lol.

Wishes is life... That is all.

OMG I could not agree more. BTM in the daytime for me is ok. It's still a classic but meh. But at night it is in a league of its own. Just a completely different experience.

Speaking of great experiences, LAST GUEST ON SPACE!!!! My GOD that sounds epically awesome. So glad you got to experience that. You genuinely deserve those type's of experiences. :goodvibes

Thank you!!! We need to rally together to make Mickey waffles available all day!

Yes of course it was for you! ;)

I'm glad you understand my Jesse tribute and love of BTMRR at night! It really is completely different!

That's a really really really sweet thing to say Rob, thank you! :goodvibes

I just ran across your TR the other day and have spent some time catching up. You are so fun and I totally feel like I am in Disney reading your TR. Your enthusiasm for all things Disney is infectious, and makes me want to be back there asap!! :) Can't wait to read more of your adventures. :)

:welcome: It's good to have you! Thank you!

Can you never stop writing TR's and taking fabulous pics please?

Seriously....I want to bank roll future trips for you, just because I LOVE the way you write about your experiences, your feelings etc.

Reading your TR's always make me happy, no matter what else is going on in my day, or my life.

Thanks for bringing the sunshine and pixie dust!

Can't wait for the next update! :flower3:

Thank you so much! Yes, please, let's start a Kickstarter and everyone can give me money for trips! :lmao: Send your dollars my way, people!

Squeeee, so glad you're back! Hope this means you'll eventually be sharing your spring trip/cruise adventures soon. As I was reading through this, it occurred to me that your #stuckindisney trip was two years ago. Crazy!

Thanks! Yes I will be doing that report after this one. I have a lot of it written already.

What an amazing experience to be the one and ONLY guest on Space Mountain!! There are so many cool experiences in Disney that you just don't know exist until you are the one lucky enough to experience it. Big props to the CMs for making their own celebrations. :thumbsup2

It's so cool to watch that crossover from Halloween to Christmas in photos, it must be even better in person. I am SERIOUSLY aching for a Halloween trip right now. Hopefully 2015!

Exactly!!! I love when CMs make fun things even better with their enthusiasm!

Oh just wait til you see the Christmas explosion that happened at MK overnight! It really felt like I was in Disney a lot longer than 8 days because of the changes.

It is so cool that you got to have a solo ride on Space Mountain! It sounds like such an amazing experience!!! One of my favorite things about Disney are the random little surprises that you would never expected to happen. Nothing like a little bit of pixie dust to completely make your day!

It really does! Things like this really differentiate one trip from the next and show that no matter how many times you go, there are always new and exciting experiences headed your way!

Hi Lia,

Your latest updates are pure gold!! Loved the Sci-Fi audation, perfect!! It’s amazing to me how may negative reviews I see on Sci-Fi, this is our only “must do” table service for every trip! I LOVE campy sci-fi flicks and as sad as it sounds, I have probably seen every movie shown in the clips. Jenn and the kids are not into the campy movies at all, but they love it too and still insist on eating here and least once each trip.

We were so happy to see that you got to draw Rapunzel and hats off to that animator for acknowledging how great that movie is. FYI…We just listened to an interview with Tony Baxter where he admits that he prefers Tangled over Frozen…WAY TO GO TONY!!!! Hopefully the Frozen mob does not put out a hit on him.

Can’t wait for the next update!!

Rob & Jenn (BTW, one week from right now, we will be in WDW:yay:)

Thanks guys!!! The negative Sci Fi reviews are baffling! I don't know if these people are expecting 5 star food here or what. I mean, it's supposed to be a Drive-In, and they are not exactly culinary masters at the snack bar. All the food I've had is delicious anyway, I totally don't get it.

I love Frozen so much but it doesn't hit Tangled at all. Tangled is a masterpiece. I mean, Frozen is too, but it's a couple rungs down the Masterpiece Ladder from Tangled

MAN THAT SOUNDS LIKE SUCH AN AMAZING AND WONDERFUL DAY!!

Mouse approval on your drawing! So cute!!

Love the cupcakes, and the streetmosphere! I'm pretty sure they hold auditions for them just through the disney auditions website, but they're not often! (same with hoop de doo) I guess those guys don't have as high of a turnover rate :rotfl2:

GG is seriously one of my favourites, it's so awesome there, and YES characters sitting down with you is beyond amazing! We had SUCH a blast at GG even with the horrible service, :rotfl: those munks make it so worth it!

UGH HANSON! It sounds amazing, I have to admit, I never listened to that much Hanson when I was younger, I should add some of it to my 90's playlist! What songs are your faves??

And YES! Sleepovers!!

Haha, see I knew I was doing something right by not taking notes and just taking random photos for guidance. Learn from the best.

Awww that is just so cute with the little girl wanting to use your colored pencil. I love stories like that.

Oh I am totally doing that and getting a photo with character I draw. So hopefully it will be a meeting character. I'll just keep doing it until it is.

How is it possible that TSM was that short. I'm pretty sure it's an hour wait when the park's closed!

OK... that's basically a Mickey photobomb. Which makes it the BEST PHOTOBOMB EVER!!

Wow... just... WOW! I am starting to think you like Hanson. Now wouldn't it be cool if the next performance was Aaron Carter so Jess could go crazy too??? Unless she now thinks he's a goon or something... :scratchin

Aww Jess I LOVE how much you LOVE Hanson!

I used to be the same with bands and follow them round the country and I totally miss the excitement of arriving in a new place and seeing familiar faces. I actually work as a music journalist now so I consider myself very lucky that I'm able to travel and see so many bands I love so often but sometimes I do miss being able to be 'one of the fans' and sit outside the venue all day before a gig to get to the barrier.

YEARS ago I met a group of girls from America who had flown to the UK to see Good Charlotte perform in Glasgow. They were apparently also massive Hanson fans and followed them around the US!

Sorry, didn't mean to call you Jess...I am totally getting my frumps mixed up! ARG!

Can I please just be your best friends? haha

This is just hilarious :lmao:

I was pretty obsessed with Hanson myself back in middle school. My room was wallpapered in Hanson posters and I would kiss Taylor goodnight :rolleyes1

Anyway, I haven't really gotten in to their newer music, but I would still love to see them in concert again! I hope they are still playing during Food & Wine when I finally get to go (maybe next year??)

It sounds like you had an amazing day/night!!!

I love your drawings, especially Eugene! You did a wonderful job!

The pictures of Evie and the Streetmosphere are great!!!

Love the Garden Grill pictures! Too cute!!

I love your excitement over Hanson! I am a big music person and spent many, many years going to see my favorite artists all over the country. So I know what it feels like to have an amazing time at the shows and the most perfect nights. Your excitement brings me right back to those times when I was doing the same things with my friends. :)

Lia, thank you so much for doing these trip reports! I really really enjoy reading them. You enthusiasm is contagious! Seeing your pin and Vinylmation trades helps hold me over until my next trip... It really gets addictive, doesn't it.

Thanks again and keep up the great work!

For such short sets, those are some great songs! Not gonna lie, I lose my mind when they play LWEO...favorite song EVER! And not much is better than seeing them perform In the City live. I still remember seeing them perform it for the first time in 2000...THOSE WERE THE DAYS!! I got so excited reading this update! Can't wait to see how night 2 went!!!

Yeah I think it's really rare that they have open auditions for that. I would loooove to go on one though!

Our service wasn't bad at all, I guess you just got a server that wasn't on their game. Especially the first time we went, I remember it being pretty good.

Asking me what my favorite Hanson songs are... girl, I would have to spend hours figuring that out and compiling, like, a top 50 or something. They don't really belong on a 90's playlist though, unless you're only talking about their first album. Most of their music is not very 90's.

Haha, see I knew I was doing something right by not taking notes and just taking random photos for guidance. Learn from the best.

Exactly! I'm lost without my phone pictures, I'm like, WHAT DID I DO WHERE DID I GO?! I remember what I did, but the order is hard to recall.

I really lucked out getting to draw Minnie and having her be right there to meet, but I would like to try and do that with every character I draw from now on! It was really fun.

I think she agrees he is a goon. Someone at work brought him up the other day and I was like OMG and talked way too much about him hahaha

Love Evie! How about dressing up like her for MNSSHP.... Just sayin'. :cool1: :thumbsup2

I've thought of that, but I would have to have the dress and hat made. I'm sure it would be very very expensive! Maybe someday.

You have an AWESOME JOB!!!!!!!!! Lucky you!! Hey, if you ever cover a Hanson show, I'll see you there! ;)

This is just hilarious :lmao:

I didn't draw Eugene, I just colored him in  Wish I could draw like that!

Thank you!!

Aww, that's good to hear. Glad someone here knows what I'm talking about :thumbsup2

Lia, thank you so much for doing these trip reports! I really really enjoy reading them. You enthusiasm is contagious! Seeing your pin and Vinylmation trades helps hold me over until my next trip... It really gets addictive, doesn't it.

Thank you for reading them!!! Yes it is addictive. I have my trader pins sitting here, ready to go for my next trip!!

For such short sets, those are some great songs! Not gonna lie, I lose my mind when they play LWEO...favorite song EVER! And not much is better than seeing them perform In the City live. Glad you enjoyed it! I'm so happy there are Hanson fans like you on here who understand my endless raves about them and aren't just Disney fans, hahaha. Man, I'm SO mad I missed the This Time Around tour!!! I will never recover!!

NOVEMBER 5, 2013
Day 7, Part 1 In Which I'm An Animation VIP

I woke up today feeling like I could conquer the world and nothing could stop me ever. I was in the best place that I, personally, could be. There is a level of contentment I feel when I am sandwiched between Hanson experiences that does not match anything else. Much like how I assume a drug addict can calm down when they A.) Have drugs in them and on them and B.) Have more drugs waiting for when the current ones ware off. You know what I'm saying?

I had just seen Hanson, and today... I was seeing HANSON!!!!! AGAIN!!!!!!!!! And not in some back alley bar, but at WALT DISNEY WORLD!!

These things meant I had nothing to worry about. Except, you know, the meaning of life (Why ARE we here?), but I decided that could wait til after the Hanson show, at least.

Jess had to go to this lame place called school again, but before that we had a huge heart to heart cause LIFE, man!

I was NOT happy that the this was the last full day of the trip, especially because Jess and I were so clearly meant to be BFFs and yet we live so far away from each other. Why must you tear us apart, cruel fates?!

Once she left, instead of going straight to Hollywood like I planned, I cleaned our room! Weird, right? But my stuff was EVERYWHERE, and I wanted to get situated so that I could fully enjoy the next two days before my devasating departure. I was already pretty panicked about how on earth I was going to fit everything in my bags for the flight home, so getting my stuff together helped a lot.

I had this beauty for breakfast.

14853721021_071c68c539.jpg

That's the King Cupcake I bought the night before!

Robin Hood was the trivia today at Pop Century.

14670261157_0031923e33_o.png

My question about this is... do they just happen to have amazing artists working at every resort that are able to draw these Disney characters so well or what?

Anyway, off Hollywood I went!

I have to tell you, this day was pretty similar to the day before! There was something about that morning in Hollywood that was just completely perfect, and all I wanted to do was duplicate it. I felt a strong sense of home there this trip, EVEN MORE than usual, and I was so happy to just be there.

It was a pretty windy day!

14585993469_66c9a0d5f2_o.jpg

Windy Vine: https://t.co/lj3a4jXDCz

What's weird is that some weather network tweeted me about this Vine asking if they could broadcast "a portion" of it. A portion of a Vine? They're pretty short as it is, but sure man!

I was in the mood for more animating, so The Magic of Disney Animation was my destination.

14749631736_15eb197910_o.jpg

I was really happy because my favorite animator was there again today! Vine: https://t.co/6Co0Xc9HXs

This was the first time I had a repeat character, as in one that I had already drawn. I didn't mind though. It was Stitch!

14769471751_ec1ee58f00_o.jpg

To compare, here's the one I did in October 2012 during #StuckInDisney12:

A6FV_yaCcAAZSvW.jpg

The artist mentioned that if we wanted to come right back in and draw again, it would definitely be a different character. I decided that sounded awesome so back in line I went!!!

By this time, the main waiting area was full so I had to wait outside it in the "standby" area. Then, something super annoying happened to me which other solo travelers will surely be able to relate to. Sometimes when you are alone in Disney, families just like overtake you and don't even notice that you are there, cut you in line, completely walk/stand in front of you.

I got in line right before a large family of about 10 people was getting in line too, and the matriarch of this family was a jerk. She did not notice me at all, of course, and went over how her entire family better be getting into this class with the CM. She was being fake-nice in a threatening way to this CM and it was soooo worthy of my rage, but I just stayed silent. The CM told her that she didn't know if all 10 people were going to be able to get in. I was technically in front of them, but this woman did not care at all about that, it was WAY more important that her "ENTIRE family get into this class. We can NOT split up and we DO NOT want to split up. We CAN NOT miss our reservation in 30 minutes so we HAVE to get into this class."

The CM explained repeatedly that they should go now to their reservation because the classes are 22 minutes, did not even start yet, and they still had to factor in the time it would take to walk over to the restaurant. The mom argued with her and kept saying "ALL of us better be able to get into this class." It didn't even matter how many times the CM told her that it maybe wouldn't happen, she just kept insisting, and then she mentioned me as if I wasn't even there! The CM was like, "Tell me how many people you have again?" The mom did a head count, loudly, pointing to all the family members and then said, "WE are all together. I don't know who THIS is. We were here first."

At this point two awesome people got involved. One was this woman's teenage son. He was like "Mom, stop. She was here when we got here." and the mom said, "NO she wasn't!" He was clearly embarassed and was just like "Yeah she was." I smiled at him. Good job, kid!!!
The second person was the animator who taught the Minnie Mouse class I had been in earlier. She is also the one who taught us Chip in May 2013, and I've definitely seen her at other times. She recognized me from the day before and witnessed this whole mess. She came over to me and said, "Hi, you're back again huh?" and was sooo super sweet.

She then said, "You can come right in here," opened the rope and WAVED ME INTO THE MAIN WAITING AREA AHEAD OF THE MEAN MOM AND HER GIANT FAMILY.

Ohhhhh my God, I felt like such a Disney VIP. I was like take THAT stupid lady!!! Oh you should have seen her face! It was too good! That's what I get for keeping my mouth shut and being civil instead of getting into it with this lady. I am so good at telling it that she got TOLD without me even having to speak. It was wondrous!!! HAVE FUN MISSING YOUR RESERVATION YOU BRAT.

I thanked that animator profusely and went in, sitting in the front row like the eager student I am!!

14772304992_ba804d6f1f_o.jpg

I was SO happy I decided to go to the next class, because we drew DONALD FAUNTLEROY DUCK!

14586001788_63350dc78a_o.jpg

I did a pretty good job if you ask me! I could not believe I successfully drew such an iconic character. Thanks awesome animator dude!!!

At the end of the class, when he did the trivia question to see who would get his drawing, I was frustrated because I KNEW Donald's middle name and it was on the tip of my tongue but I could not remember for the life of me! I really want one of these drawings cause this guy is so great but I missed out this time. Now, I will never forget the name Fauntleroy again!

Guess what I did next?! Went right back into the Animation building! I just wanted to look around some more. I'm just in love with this whole attraction and everything in it. When I go back, this will be one of the first things I do.

The Tangled art is so beautiful.

My next stop was my beloved and beautiful residence, the Tower of Terror!

When I was in line, again, an entire family cut me!! Excuse me, small blonde comin through!! Sheesh!

Tower Vine: https://t.co/6xzMihtBjD

14670118720_b69494aa99_o.png

Hot and fancy even while dropping into the Twilight Zone!

While in the shop, I found this MAGNIFICENT HAT.

14770284664_6e838c66c0_o.jpg

I had to have that. It's always too hot to wear in the parks and I can't really wear it up here in the winter because it doesn't cover my ears, so then I freeze. It's really a special event beanie at this point and I'm cool with that.

I was feeling the effects of this non-stop crazy trip so I decided to sit down and just appreciate the moment for a bit in my favorite "secret" seating area in the Tower courtyard.

14770284684_5cbb15fb9f_o.jpg

14772641485_fd2f7150b2_o.jpg

It's not really a secret, but I didn't discover it until a few years ago. There are places to sit built into the wall behind some plants and it's just a really nice spot to take a load off.

I was hungry so I went to get some french fries and then it started to rain.

14854326534_c99c598588_z.jpg

I was gonna go see Beauty and the Beast, but Jess said she was almost at Studios, so I decided to go over to Sweet Spells and get something sugary and delicious!

14772306412_8875422f36_o.jpg

It's always a hard decision in there, but I really wanted another Mickey Macaron, especially since now they were CHRISTMAS COLORED!

14749631546_3677bb3f99_o.jpg

So good!! Jess got there and guess who we saw?! My girl crush Evie Starlight!!! I am really sad I don't have any pictures. I can't remember what she was doing but I remember talking about how she was hot and fancy and Jess goes, "Oh yes. She is the EPITOME of hot and fancy."

Evie Starlight is our spokeswoman for the Hot and Fancy movement, people.

NOVEMBER 5, 2013
Day 7, Part 2 In Which We Meet The New Princesses and See My Princes

Jess felt like going on Tower and I was definitely not going to argue with that, so back to my Tower we went!

They had Zero plushes!! I LOVE ZERO!

14770284554_99027758e6_o.jpg

I took that and Jess said, "I'm really happy you understand my obsession with taking selfies with stuffed animals." hahaha

We had to go to Cast Connection so that I could return my weird Minnie Mouse poncho thing that you saw me model oh so well in a previous post.

Jess wanted something sweet before we left, and we wanted to go to Writer's Stop but Sweet Spells was right in front of us so we went in there. We both got cookies because guess what, Sweet Spells has some of the personal pan pizza-sized cookies that Writer's Stop does. How convenient! I got the peanut butter one I remembered from my 2011 trip and again it took me awhile to eat... they are just huge and oh so good.

14854326254_bb8b6c61e3_z.jpg

Once we left and were walking to the parking lot, I decided I needed to wear my newly-purchased Tower bellhop Mickey ears. I put them on and realized they forgot to remove the security hard tag! This just would not do.

I am an ADVOCATE of saving your receipt because I have worked retail on and off for six years now and if you lose your receipt I have to jump through hoops for you so that you don't freak out and never patronize our company again, but in this case, I threw out the receipt right away because obviously I was not going to return a pair of flawless ears such as these! I knew they were going think I stole it and I was so upset because I would never do that ESPECIALLY at Disney and I didn't want to get on some shady shoplifters list at my favorite place in the world. We were thinking that we had to go all the way back to Tower and pray that the same CM was there and that he would remember me. I figured they could probably pull up the transaction somehow if he wasn't, but still. Anyway, we got the whole thing sorted out and they removed the tag. But just a tip, SAVE YOUR RECEIPT ALWAYS IN LIFE.

Up at Cast Connection, I did not even look at anything in the store. I just made the return so I could get my money back because I knew if I looked around that would be the end of my refund, LOL. That receipt I did save and so it was no problem!

From there we went to Epcot! We were on a mission to meet "the new princesses" as we kept calling them. If you don't know who I'm talking about, you've been living on the moon the past year. Their names are Anna and Elsa!

Remember that this was November 5 and Frozen didn't come out until the end of the month. All we knew about the story was that Elsa could make snow and that they were sisters. Literally, that's it. We had no idea it was going to turn into the highest grossing animated film of all time... so weird to think back now!

Before that, we wanted to go on Spaceship Earth, mostly because of how hilarious the video of the future ended up being the last time I went on, which was with Gina in May. We were dying laughing cause of that and Jess and I hoped it would be equally as hilarious. Well, this was kind of a mistake because it made us SO TIRED to be in the dark like that. I think Jess actually slept. Anyway, the future video didn't even work!!! Boo. We were so disappointed, but it's okay, we will just have to try again next time.

We went to World Showcase and stopped at the Hawaii booth. I wanted to get the Pulled Pork Slider, which I had the year before and loved. It was equally as delicious! We went to get Cheddar Cheese Soup after that and then it was time to go to Norway and get in line for The New Princesses.

We'd heard how long the line had been for these mysterious new girls, but it was NOTHING compared to the four hour mess it would become once the movie exploded. I am so thankful I got to do this before Frozen became the most popular thing ever!

We got there about 45 minutes before they came out and just sat down and took a load off. Thank God we got there by then, because they cut the line off a few people after us!

There was a pretty rainbow in Norway that day.

YAY FROZEN.

We were anticipating this movie so much! It's the first time I've met characters without "knowing" them/seeing their movie.

Once we got in the room, I was amazed by how gorgeous Elsa was! I just remember thinking she was SO SPARKLY and in my book, sparkly is very very important!

Jess and I were kind of examining them because we, uh, recognized them and couldn't figure out who else they were friends with. Then it hit Jess and she pointed and said one word: "Belle." The Photopass photographer turned around and gave her the DIRTIEST LOOK and then gestured to the children in front of us, as if they had ANY IDEA what we were talking about. Seriously, you'd think Jess had cried out, "THIS WHOLE THING IS A CHARADE!! AND YOU KNOW WHAT ELSE? THIS ISN'T REALLY NORWAY!" I mean... I get it, Character Integrity, but relax lady.

Then it was our turn! Jess mainly spoke to Elsa and I spoke to Anna. I handed her my autograph book (Anna and Elsa are the only 2013 autographs in my Princess book from my 2012 MNSSHPs) and asked her if she could make snow too or if it was just Elsa. I genuinely didn't know. Anna said, "Oh no, that's my sister! You should see it, it's amazing! She even built us a snowman!"

When I gave my book to Elsa, I told her I loved her dress so much and that it was so sparkly. Anna said that Elsa made it, which of course we all know from the movie now but at the time I was like "A snow maker AND seamstress? Impressive!" LOL

Elsa told me I was beautiful, that ANGEL. Then her flawless sister said, "We've met so many princesses today! It's great to make so many new princess friends!" To me it sounded like Anna thought we were friends with some of her friends, so yeah we basically LOVE Anna and Elsa.

Ahhhh so good.

Why my head is falling off in this one is beyond me.

This was really exciting. One of the things I hate about not being a Cast Member is that I'm usually not there when new things debut. I think that's one of the things that probably makes the parks never get old - there's always something new around the corner. So to magically be there before the Frozen phenomenon really got going, to get to see these new characters get to know them a little bit knowing hardly any plot details, was really exciting.

@babybritney: WE JUST MET ANNA AND ELSA THEY ARE BEAUTIFUL AND ELSA IS SO SPARKLY OMG

After the movie came out and everyone became obsessed, people back home thought it was the coolest thing that I had met them. I had the photos on my phone and would show people and they would act like I was holding a photo of myself, Elvis, and Marilyn Monroe. Like "OH MY GOD YOU MET THEM!??!?!?!?!" I just love how this Frozen thing has reached almost everyone. Like, I love Frozen, my mom loves Frozen, my cousins who are ages 3-14 love Frozen, and a bunch of guys I work with who are around my age have mentioned they thought it was good too. EVERYONE LOVES FROZEN and it's really impressive how Disney has somehow tapped into something that reaches EVEN MORE people than their already massive brand usually does.

I know that it's kind of cool to hate Frozen now cause the backlash has begun. I know Jess is sick of it and has completely done a 180 from how she felt when it came out (it was her obsession then). I know it's "everywhere" in the parks (though it REALLY doesn't seem like it is so I don't know why people are so upset about that) and Disney Purists don't want WDW to turn into Walt's Frozen World, but I love this movie and I am so proud of Disney for creating this gigantic hit. It's a movie that promotes family bond over romance, being yourself and being secure enough to embrace your differences and harness your power so you can enjoy what makes you, you. If that's not fantastic, I don't know what is. So yeah... I'm still feelin' the Frozen love. Totally. I am SO pumped that Frozen Summer has been extended because that means we will get to experience it next month!!! I was really bummed when I thought I would miss it, especially because of the fireworks. I've always wanted to see fireworks in Hollywood, and now I will finally have the chance!

We got these cards they were giving out at the Meet & Greet:

They explained a little bit about each character on the back. Jess and I tried to guess what the movie was about. I said, "I bet Anna is jealous of Elsa for having powers, but Elsa is jealous of Anna because she gets to live a normal life," and Jess was like, "YES. And they eventually learn to get over their differences and stuff." Yup! That's probably it! hahaha

I think that's one of the great things about Frozen is that it wasn't predictable, even for two girls like us who've seen every Disney movie 1,000 times.

It was time to make our way to America to see the loves of my life. The sky was AMAZING.

Jess got a good shot of the rainbow when we were in China...

Alright so, because of my lack of notes/pictures, I remember so little about this night, like I remember the shows and random stuff we did but I don't have any idea the order it all happened outside of the setlists. Let's just say there was more screaming, crying, and running around World Showcase eating and drinking. It was a BLAST.

Oh hey look, it's the best thing that ever happened to me!

During most of Show #2 we were running around Food and Wining. I ate all of this.

We were nearby in Italy getting ravioli when I heard Hanson start the song Runaway Run. This is one of my all-time favorites and evokes EXTREME emotion in me for many reasons I do not need to get into here, but anyway, I SCREEEAAAMMED and RAN toward the stage. I heard the beginning of Jess saying "..What?!" but I was gone. Sorry I'm terrible, but I really can't control myself when we're dealing with Runaway Run, okay?!

The last setlist was the best, I was going mad. It was a big deal that they did "In the City" as the 2nd song because IF they play that, it's usually the last song or the encore cause it's one where they just go absolutely crazy. So to do it as the 2nd song... oh man, this meant they were NOT messing around. They were amazing as they always are. It blows my mind how they can just get better and better. You'd think that their overwhelming talent would level off at some point, but that is not at all the case. When I was 13, I thought they were the sun, the moon, and the stars... and I still do. It just gets better... they are an endless source of happiness and light in my life and I will never know what I did to deserve such a gift!

To finish it all off with If Only was the greatest thing I could have asked for. I won't go into, AGAIN, how much I love Hanson & Disney and how much all of this means to me, but let's just say I was wondering how on earth I got so damn lucky.

@babybritney: I am the luckiest person ever. I really will never get over it.

The fact that I get to do this again NEXT MONTH is too much. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

At some point I got that Moroccan chicken roll again because those are AMAZING. We also got Belgian waffles.

We "went shopping" in Germany.

14585991689_a0f406a206_o.jpg

I don't know if you were wise enough to crack that code, but that means we flirted and pin traded with German CMs.

We went to the bakery in France, but I can't remember if I got anything. We definitely got ice water, thank God for Disney's free ice water thing because I would die without it. And by that I mean I would have to overpay for Dasani which is pretty much as bad as dying.

14769470121_46d3dc9dae_o.jpg

YUM.

We went on Maelstrom at some point and acted a fool. I'll just leave it at that.

We checked for Jess's princess sweater for the 20938th time with no luck. I am happy she was so persistent because it made me fall in love with the sweater and now I was thinking of buying it.

Jess saw a Peter Pan costume for Duffy in one of the stores and lost her mind pretty much. Apparently she and Mark had been looking for this costume their entire CP and it was always sold out. She bought it immediately and decided that Duffy Pan was going to have to live it up with us the next day.

Night night, Epcot! See ya in April!

We had to stop at Jess's apartment because she needed a textbook. I had been wanting to see her new digs anyway so that worked out well!

What a surprise, I LOVED IT! Her mom had just been there and they did the damn thing. Jess printed a bunch of her favorite photos she has taken in Disney and framed them along with some really nice Disney art. The whole thing is Disney Disney Disney. If someone who didn't like Disney was locked inside, they would very quickly go mad. So naturally it was great.

@babybritney: So @PrincessJess508's apartment is a beautiful Disney shrine and I'm in love. I can't wait for future sleepovers.

She had these pins sitting on her desk and I FREAKED. I did NOT know this set existed!!!

14792510583_3388cbaa05_o.jpg

Basically, it's the Fab 5 dressed up as Nightmare Before Christmas characters. TOO AWESOME.

We went back to Pop Century after that and Jess attempted to do her homework, which was hilarious. I told her she should write me a note instead. I was joking but she of course did it, and it now hangs in my room. I will not share the contents with you as it is mostly inside jokes and profanity, but let's just say we again went to sleep cracking ourselves up.

Haha, that cracked me up. A portion of a Vine... What are they, like 8 seconds?

Oh... Hell... Yeah... I agree to the maximum percentage of agreement. So many times I have been dismissed in a line because I was solo. (Granted, sometimes it's the CM's who assume I'm with this group or that group because there is no way I could possibly be in the line by myself to meet Ariel... but digress).
But what an awesome "vengeance" to be hauled away all VIP like that.

Haha, "Fauntleroy" doesn't exactly roll off the tongue.

OK, so good thing you bought that ToT Ear hat because (and I mean this completely innocently and respectfully), you look absolutely stunningly adorable in that picture.

Ha, so weird to reflect back on Frozen before it was a thing. At that point in time I was convinced that Elsa was the villain.

America also contains a new love of my life, but in the form of the Voices of Liberty. So I basically now fangirl them the same way you do Hanson. :worship:

Another amazing day, that's for sure!!
Glad you got into multiple animation classes, and that the cm's put you through instead of that mean lady, bahaha! Great drawings too! You've got talent!! :cool1:

Yum sugar!! Cookies! Nom!

Awe man, Frozen before Frozen, so weird!! Crappy that the photopass wasn't too friendly about it, like, yeah, character integrity and all, but it's not like a.) the kids could hear you, or b.) they would know what you meant!

Wow, what a freaking jerk at the animation academy!!! I'm glad the animator made a big show of letting you in ahead of her. And that her kid apparently realizes that his mom is a jerk.

SO FUN that you got to meet Anna and Elsa before they were ANNA AND ELSAAAAAAAA!!! We are still firmly planted on the Frozen bandwagon. DS and I were totally listening to the soundtrack and singing along on the day to daycare this morning. :thumbsup2

I was reading the setlists and I was seriously thinking OMG RUNAWAY RUN I WOULD DIIIIIIEEEEEE. Like, puddle. On the ground. And then I read your comments and cracked up because we are obviously on the same Hanson wavelength. And when that harmonica comes out and Taylor tells you to jump up and down, YOU JUMP UP AND DOWN, DARN IT!! :lmao: And yay for Give a Little! I know that one is not a rare song, but I still love it and I just can't help but dance when I hear it. When I was blessed to be in Disney at the same time as them in 2012, I got to hear it a lot over 2 nights because it was the most recent music, and I LOVED it!

Nooooo, I'm so sad the trip is almost over and the Hanson shows are over and Halloween is over....this is kinda tragic! But I'm sure you still had a ton of stuff to keep us entertained! :goodvibes
