Hi Everyone!

I just subscribed to this thread!

Last night we booked YC for October 25 - 28, followed by Dolphin for a few days. We were going to do POR, but got a great deal on YC. SO EXCITED!!!! :cool1:

I just booked the BC for 1 night on November 21! Wooohoooo!!! I hope we'll get nice weather... I want to use the pool!!!

We should be getting to the resort between 7 and 9 pm (depending on which flight we take) on the 15th and I was thinking of heading over to MK for evening EMH as it will be the only night with late hours. Would you recommend taking the bus to MK in the evening or driving? We have minimal experience with Disney buses and no experience with the buses and the wheelchair (for DD6). I'm trying to decide whether to take ME from the airport and rent a car a day or two later or just rent the car from the airport. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated!

If you drive to MK then you would have to take the monorail or ferry over to MK from the Transportation and Ticket Center. If you take the bus you would be dropped off near the main gate. The bus ride is about 15 minutes. I would think it would take longer than that to park and take the monorail or ferry to MK.

That's what I was thinking. Thanks for confirming that. I guess we will give the bus a shot.

So excited, I am all booked for September 2015 Beach Club Club Level. This will be our first deluxe stay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Only 13 months to go.

This worries me! The room descriptions (for sleeping five, which I need) says day bed or twin sleeper chair...I was really hoping not to have to deal with a cot in an already full room. I didn't put in a request because I didn't think it would be needed. I requested a full balcony so my husband and I can enjoy it when the kids are asleep. Afraid that if I call again and request the daybed, we won't get the balcony. Has anyone had better luck with a cot than this?? If there isn't room for it, shouldn't the room already have something in place since it says the rooms sleep five?

We are only a family of 4, but with twin 11 year olds, so we really need an extra bed to be comfortable. I knew going into it that it was just a request and not guaranteed (you are probably guaranteed since you're a family of 5?). I'm just happy we got the cot. We did get charged for it, and I know I've read on here that it should be free (I think?), but we were in a hurry to check out and catch ME so I didn't have time to question it.

We did get our full balcony (my other request) and it was super nice and big! I'll try to post a few pictures:

Based on the numbers of guests we have listed in the Be Our Guest list for August, a lot of people will be interested in this:

*EDIT*

I originally posted the wrong schedule.

This is the correct one

While I'm waiting till next April for my stay at BCV and trying not to get TOO excited cause it's kind of far off lol, I wondered . . . Have any of the folks here tried the dark chocolate waffles at Captain's Grille? Let's just say I'm KIND of looking forward to them, and wondered if anyone here's tried them and can confirm they are as good as I want them to be lol.

I may be having a breakfast at Captain's Grille in a few weeks, so if it is necessary for research purposes for me to order this, I will! (I am curious too)

:goodvibes

We are scheduled for our first on-site stay at YC from November 15 to November 22. We are booked in a Garden View, W/C accessible room with a roll in shower. Does anyone have any familiarity with this type of room and where they might be located? I'm trying to figure out if we will need to make any type of request (like close to elevator, etc).

:welcome:

I'll add you to the Be Our Guest list.

:woohoo:

The bus is a better option for MK for the reasons listed above and you can walk/take a boat to EPCOT and HS. So for your first night plans, the bus is probably the way to go. If you need a rental for later in the week (resort to resort dining, perhaps AK if you are not digging the buses, offsite trips) then doing it on a day-to-day basis may be a good way to go.

Thank you for the activity post, Dee~! We are getting super excited for the upcoming trip. As it is, my two nephews' first trip (5 & 2 y/o)! I remember DS that young and magic in his eyes on his first trip also. :wizard: Just 13 more days to AKL and 19 days to YC! :dance3:

Thank you for this, but i'm confused. it looks like this is from 2011, not 2014 ( i only notices because the movie schedule doesn't match the published one). does the activity schedule stay the same from year to year? thank you

Thank you so much for pointing this out. Yes, I did post the Aug schedule from a previous year.

Sorry about that!!!

Here is the right one (I think)

Post 15: Be Our Guest list

.

Hi there! Thank you for adding us to the Be Our Guest List. I apologize but I have already changed our dates. Can you please update the list when you have a chance?

We are now going February 21-27, 2015. Still Beach Club. Still Club Level. Still celebrating our son's 9th birthday. Thinking the extra day and change in dates will allow us more time to enjoy SAB and the resort area itself.

Thanks! Patty

I just added it -- but if I did something wrong, you have my permission to copy my pics!

I have a general question about my room. We were CL 5699 and right next to it was what appeared to be a servants'/work staff room, and there was a really loud noise that happened maybe every 8 seconds. Sounded like a motor or a drill. The first night I woke up thinking construction was beginning in the room next to ours. Do you know what the noise is? Here is a picture of what it looked like right next to our room:

I just booked club level Beach club for January 30-February 8th!! The CM said the club lounge is scheduled to be closed starting Monday and will be relocated to the Presidential suite.

Does anyone know when the 5th floor rooms will be completed? Just wondering if we will have a refurbished room when we visit in late January.

Needless to say, we are really excited!!! We were in the Wilderness Lodge and decided to try something different. The kids are going to love the pool!

We had a similar experience last year at BC, non CL room. I thought it was a service elevator. I totally understand what you experienced...with that constant noise, it was impossible to get any sleep. Due to not the greatest soundproofing, the normal room-to-room noise can sometimes be bad enough, but that unrelenting mechanical noise was the worst!

I've been crafting away making lovely hair accessories for my DD for our upcoming trip. I got a bit carried away, so we have decided that we will sprinkle a little pixie dust when we are in Hollywood Studios. If anyone with a little girl compliments my DD on her hair, we are going to surprise them with one of these
