I mentioned a few weeks ago about a friend who makes candles..she has one called Creme Brulee that smells EXACTLY like the Confectionery on Main Street. She is making one with the Beach Club lobby smell. When she perfects it, I will let you know the name, but whenever I have the Creme Brulee burning, everyone comments it smells like Disney!

I believe only limited amounts of rooms are eligible when discounts are offered. The standards sell out first. The garden view rooms are nice, and typically around $10-$15 more per night than standard view. I would say you should book this, but keep looking to see if a standard view room opens up. :goodvibes
I would understand this... But sine we are looking at next May I am looking at rack rate packages just opened yesterday. I just don't understand why they already wouldn't have standard or pool view rooms

Loved the video!! I am about to email it to my husband...lol
So excited to be staying here for the 1st time!!
Was Teena the lady with the short hair in the video? How nice!

Great video Teena! My sister sent it to me yesterday with the heading, "Is that Tina?"

My reply was..."No dummy. That's TEENA." Sheesh.

15 days until we check in! ;)

YIKES!!! Is the dining plan a must? We priced out the dining plan last summer, and then priced out what we ordered (actually, I estimated before the trip) and we saved money by going without the plan. We ordered what we wanted, although in some cases we shared a large entrée or shared desserts because we didn't need the huge portions you get at Disney. You still will pay a lot for food, no question, but you don't have to do that now, and you can be in control of what your family orders. A lot of people will purchase gift cards to use for dining so it is "pre-paid" plus places like Target and Sam's Club offer discounts on Disneyworld cards, so you can save money there. Not sure if there are discounts offered for Easter. When I am planning a trip, I hang out on the subforum that discusses resort discounts and usually find a lot of info there about what has been offered in the past for discounts and what may be coming down the pipeline.
Thanks natebenma...I will have to price w/o the dining and think about it...I do like the ease if knowing t's already paid for so maybe the disney cards would be a good idea. If you hear of any discounts, let me know. I heard that they often do not run discounts during Easter week, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed!

That is so funny. And just what I need, some nice, cute, funny people on a lovely thread.

Yep, just feel I've had a bashing over on a DC thread! Sheesh some people.

Love the Lily pictures, and love that video.

So great to see that video and know that we'll be there (in good company) in just 17 days. Yay for just 17 days!!!

Lol! I feel the same way... I'm lurking and sometimes posting on a few other threads and well... let's just say they aren't our thread!!!

I'm biting my tongue so hard right now that the blood is trickling down :) Can't wait to be at YC... :beach: few other things going on before that can happen though!

As far as I'm concerned all those trays left in the hallways at EVERY Disney Deluxe Resort means more snack opportunities for yours truly. ... Buzzy the fly, your Beach Club Resort guy!

I don't know how to multi quote so I'll just say thanks for all the warm wishes about my son and his broken arm. It's still in a splint because it was too swollen to cast. We'll find out next Wednesday what the cast will look like. Unfortunately this is not a new experience for us- he has brittle bone disease so this is his 32nd broken bone. We were really hoping he'd be ok for this trip since we have so much planned.

We talked today and I explained this is about family and memories, not just the rides and swimming. He is 14 and he understood. And because he knows the way to my heart he asked if we could do a bounce back for when his arm is healed :rotfl2:

Thanks again!
17 days!!!

Just wondering if there is any where either at BC or Epcot where I can buy a bottle of Vodka and the approx cost. My FIL was asking for when we are there in a few weeks. Thank you.

Buzzy, always looking on the bright side. You certainly are a cup half full kind of fly.:rotfl:

Just got off the phone from changing my room only reservation to a package...it took one hour and forty five minutes!!! Whew...they had trouble finding it, then it wouldn't accept my credit card and finally after the third attempt it did (it had a zero balance, so there should not have been any problems) and then hey had a very hard time trying to reimburse my discover card for the room only charges. It was a rough night with he Disney computers...hope the rest of the trip in April goes a little better :)

Has the Yacht Club started doing that "streamlined" check in yet? I know that some resorts are testing it out and wondered if they were doing it here yet?
