Please allow me to introduce my students....

So it is probably close to 5 or 6 miles with the run I suggested. Not bad for being distance measuring challenged. :lmao::goodvibes Penny

So I was listening to the MouseStation podcast and they were talking about what to do after the parks close and I found it interesting about all the different things around Downtown Disney and such. NOT that we want to be out late or anything but if the parks close a little early one time and we are still up for some Disney fun, are their any places that you suggest to check out? Like I said, they talk a lot about Downtown Disney and mention that there are a lot of restaurants that stay open late, as well as movie theaters, popcorn:: but I thought maybe some of you would have suggestions on somewhere to check out!? Keeping in mind that we are all under 21 and won't be heading to any bars or anything. :yay:

Yeehaw Bob at the River roost at Port Orleans Riverside. Family friendly (but progressively pushes the envelope the later in the evening). Wednesday through Saturday nights, 8:30 until Midnight

After park hours we will sometimes go and play a round of mini golf at Fantasia Gardens or Winter Summerland. Both are fun for the whole family, very differet themes and I would say Winter Summerland is easier.

I would definitely check out Downtown Disney and go shopping. The World of Disney is my favorite store! You could also go to different resorts after park hours and check out the restaurants there. It might be fun to go to Beaches and Cream at the Beach Club and get ice cream. They also have this huge sundae big enough for 4-5 people called the Kitchen Sink.

I have a question. Does every store in Downtown Disney take a Disney gift card?

I believe that only the Disney owned stores will take the gift cards. I remember hearing that Arabas Brothers does not but I am not sure who else is excluded.

Thank you with the help on the running question. It looks like there should be a lot of different routes I can take and see some different sites at the same time. I believe we're staying at Pop Century (I hope that doesn't make a difference).

Fast Pass is like getting a reservation ticket for certain rides/attractions. This allows you to do other things instead of waiting in the long line, and return at an appointed time to the attraction. You insert your park ticket into the machine, it prints out a fast pass and spits your ticket back out to you. Printed on the Fast Pass there will be a time range for which you can return to the Fast Pass line and have a shortened wait to ride the ride or experience the attraction. Printed much smaller at the bottom is when you can get your next Fast Pass. You can get your next fass pass two hours after you got the last one or if the time on the one you are holding has passed, whichever is first.

A good rule of thumb is to get a fast pass for a headliner attraction (Space Mountain, Expedition Everest, Toy Story Mania, Soarin', for example) instead of some attractions where there would be little or no line if you went later on (Maelstrom for example).

They are free.

I recommend using them.

I stayed there in December. By "stayed there" I mean slept showered and dressed. We averaged about 5 hours per day (to do aforementioned activities) at the Pop Century. It served its purpose nicely. I wasn't there to relax and lounge around the room.

of the musical performance--Nemo, Lion King, Beauty and the Beast, etc, which one(s) would you recommend in case i have to chose due to time constraints? :tinker:

Should I avoid the Pizza at Disney World...from the people I have talked to that have been to Disney World many times they have told me that the pizza is not a very popular food item..should i avoid the pizza.?
