Mike's doing back to back cruises....he gets 2 pirate nights and 3 days a Castaway Cay.

Ok..here are some pictures from the Mickey Mouse Penthouse at the DL hotel.
The Mickey Tori is "talking" to in the mirror is a Magic Mickey..he interacts with you and tells you jokes and trivia. There is one that is difficult to make out but the master bathroom had a TV in the mirror. The mickey head shape (lloks like a cut out) is the ceiling in the living room. The desk where I wrote Hi is a back lit desk..you could do stamping and writing on it.The next post has the rest of the pictures. You can click on the pictures for a larger view.

I do not know logistically how it was done but someone on the first WB PC repo ordered T-****s and got them delivered to him somehow during the cruise. The shirts referred to the fact that DCL ran out of PC repo shirts & other items in the shops but he was able to order the T-****s

Actually, they had them produced locally at a store at one of the ports. They ordered them in the morning and picked them up later that day before the ship left port.

Airlines have limits on what you can bring, but does the ship? If we have our 2 pieces each of checked luggage and our carry-ons that the airlines allow, can we also have an extra bag that's just "cruise" supplies (i.e., water, FE gifts, alcohol, etc.)? Or does it all need to fit in our "airline allowed" luggage? Just trying to plan ahead!

A CM told me 2 suitcases and 1 carry on per person... But they always all have different info!

..hey just m? ..just to let you kno, we're thinking...."happy
thoughts"..about you. [ iam so sorry that your having to deal with
such a terrible situation].

..a nurse fillling..in, is flying..to waco, texas [ her home growing up].
..her grandfather....coded, & been fighting ca]. she's very close.

nurses do not relate to each other by age..rather by levels of understanding.
...once they established that baseline, they think nothing of sharing their
feelings between one another. nurses, by nature..do not show each
other alot of slack. in reality, they do not have that luxury because their
world..has the boundary between life & death.

nurses..are funny type of people...so many..are fragile looking but tough
tough as nails. and so insightful. not all., just the ones..that really
understand what they're doing. however, if those were given the authority
to make the changes ...health care would change over night. * that's
right...what being done...isn't right. not by a long shot.



it is shocking..the demands....and restrictions placed on us..but even more
shocking..are the amazing sucess stories...we are able to accomplish.
currently, we have this one lil'fella..and he won't go. every time..they tried
,he starts fighting...to the hilt! ha, he was never a psych. pt. ..just
dementia.

..i stayed over to talk with the nurse flying to texas. [ my group, is composed
of 3 other nurses...& we have done double duty , all 3 of us..the last 2
days.] * we wouldn't had any time..off..the last 2 weeks, if it wasn't for
this nurse. she also the same nurse...a couple..years ago....was with me,
when this crazed-drug fella attempted to stabbed us to get the narcotics.
..i hope her grandfather makes a quick recovery..,she has been thru alot.

the thing....i thought..was really interesting...was about the situation with
...my new & nasty neighbor. that is, how many.."knew" the type. and
the dangers...which, implied...the need for better laws..to take actions
to prevent ...esclating....into terrible outcomes. [ that's a major porblem
with our legal system...no preventive measures. * even restraining laws
are useless as the paper. ]

while iam most interested...in the values..of behavioral statistics, i
rely on alot more than..verbal interventions..to get the job done.

..the good old days...in~deeds had their good points and very valuable
insights...that should be passed on. however, all were not prefect. we need
to separate the good,the bad...& those mixing things up....for cover.

our schools..are not preparing..our children..for the many roles of adulthood.
...i make this statment...seeing....a population....that barely socializing @
a...third grade level. day after day...work & community.

...a free society...requires the majority possessing the maturity level of being
understanding the meanings of our constitution ..and respecting the rights
of others. the best way to influence others, is never force... but by
presenting positive gains thru ...

soo mismce?...being teased..for learning..was a great example..of learning
to think..is the best way..to find sucess. you should be proud~
and makes..sense to me!...now if i ever get my hands..on that "authority"....

...there would be changes...not only in our health care systems...and our
schools. oh, there are many things..from the good old days..i would bring
back...but not all. i would give..our teachers..new skills to..recognized
& redirect those in needs, and educating others..with improve coping skills.
also observations skills to recognized..critcal safety needs from dangerous
behaviors...we need better lawmakers..to address many areas of "normal
expectations."

...what bothers..me most....my time is short, and we don't have a system
that "values"...all that we have learned..so the new gang...shouldn't have
to start from the begining. so much we waste....


very...." & " pictures. however, me thinks...a lil'
grumpy..room..would..be my first preference, * note...he
didn't passed up...snow white...free smouches? wonder who snow white
would rate..the best kisser..grumpy or the prince?..my $$$$...on ....

* being blessed..makes one feel..the need to return favors..to others.

..we all are very happy..that our lil' rn student..is making...straight A's!



as well reading..some of the "heavy heart" stories..here. you all have
much more courage..than i can ever imagined...& i admired..the
inspirational ways..you honored your dear departed..by giving others
reasons..to feel happy. and deciding to share with the disney experiences,
bring walt's values..to life. ..for all those dreamin'of being some
day..a mousketeers. thanks.

Just about every room in our house does have Disney artwork - or at least influence - in it. The only rooms without Disney anything are the laundry room and the new addition we had built last year. Even the bathrooms have something Disney - Mickey Mouse, Belle, Jessica Rabbit...

I just purchased a few Magnetic Photo Pockets at Walgreens the other day. $1.69 for 3.5"x5" and $1.99 for 5"x7".

Hmm, I mght be able to do walgreens. The other stores mentioned previously are so far away it would cost an arm and a leg in gas $$. LOL Seriously..... I don't want to drive an hour just to buy magnet stuff for our doors. But walgreens is here in town. I'll check it out.

You can print the designs on regular paper and then get the 8 1/2 x 11 magnetic clear frames at places like WM or Walgreens to put them in. That lets you change them during the cruise too.

You need to unzip the file that the disney font is in, then go to your control panel, fonts, install font and select the file that the disney font is in and click on install. That should make it available in all of your word processing and email programs. HTH!

OMG can someone tell me why?

Oh someone please tell me WHY they make suitcases like this?

I noticed when Ruby went to church camp- one of the other suitcases (usually used for camp cause it's big) the plastic inside was breaking into bits. A piece broke off last year but this year it was breaking into lots of pieces.

I just went to get our DISNEY suitcases out of the back of the closet and when I was taking one out it felt like the plastic in the back was just desintegrating at the slightest touch. Sure enough I opened them and undid the zipper inside and revealed all the plastic in there (that makes it a hard suitcase instead of a soft one!) is just broke into bits and I could take pieces and just break it in my hands as if it was .. Oh I don't know- like I don't know how to describe it but it broke easily.

What causes this and why does this happen? sigh... we'll have to use them that way because we can't afford to buy more luggage at this point.

Okay about these door magnets things....

Is there a thread somewhere around here with INSTRUCTIONS on how to do them?
the magnet stuff I bought didn't work and had to be returned (it was magnet paper with backing you take off that was supposed to be sticky underneath the backing but it wasn't sticky! Probably old since I bought it at the dollar store. LOL) -so I'm not sure ...... what is the LEAST expensive way to make door magnets? I've heard of some elaborate stuff like laminating stuff then using magnets/etc. I just want to know the cheapest way.

And I've heard of magnet paper- that you can print on? If I'm remembering that right- does it work with any printer or only certain ones/types?

I think we're gonna end up with a bare door (again) if I don't figure out how to do these! too expensive to order- it's only inexpensive if you're ordering tons of the SAME design magnet- not if the magnets are all different.

And another question- I found the free disney font online and downloaded it- but can't figure out how to USE it. What image program are people using to use this font and other designs/etc. to make the cool designs for the magnets? I need help LOL

I just designed my signs, printed them, got them laminated then stuck some old fridge magnets on the back with packing tape. I just used old advertising type magnets we had on the fridge - they are so thin, they were easy to cut with scissors.

I've tested them on the fridge and they haven't moved since I put them up last week.

In terms of the design, I found a couple of message boards with some designs that people had used and just used some of them or modified them to suit. I just use MS Paint - I'm not very creative.

I also used one from this site http://www.boolsite.net/wallpapers/DessinsAnimes but not telling you which picture I chose - you'll have to swing by our cabin to look

I am so glad I am not the only one with this disablility..lol I just dug out my bag of magnets from the last cruise. Some are laminated, magneted paper, reg paper with magnets on the back.. I can get a picture on paper but I dont know how to add words on the picture without having a box around the words and then it shows white on the pictures...I need classes..

I use MS Paint - when you click on the A on the side bar to do text, two colourful icons appear at the bottom of the left hand panel - the second one shows the background under the text, the top one puts a box effect around your text.

SM Question

How do people deliver their SM gifts? Do you leave them in FE, hung on their door or what? Whilst some of the SM gifts would go in a FE no probs, others would be too big/fragile/theivable etc. Before some-one thinks I've gone OTT with # gifts, both DDs are partaking as well as me & DH as a couple, so there is a fair amount of luggage here!

Here's a question- if anyone has been in this situation.
Do you have to show your credit card you used to purchase AA tickets online when you check into the airport/check your luggage/go thru security?

Just curious because I just realized this is the first time we've travelled seperately (Jeff coming later in the week) and I don't remember if we had to show the credit card! I used the same credit card on all our tickets- and I can't use it -then 5 days later have DH use the same card that will be in my possession already in CA!

I don't think we have to show the CC do we? Just the print out and driver's license? We don't need to show passports for the flight since we're just flying to CA, right?
(I ask that question because I planned on bringing Jeff's passport with me- knowing him that'd be one of the items he forgot and left at home! Which would be bad...... bad bad bad. LOL )

OK who else wants that bathroom??? I don't Disney decorate my house, aside from a collection of photos on a book shelf - one from each year & 2 prints in the upstairs hallway, but I have always wanted to have a Mickey bathroom.

No such luck yet. The joys of moving - I have to decorate around the colors of the fixtures that are there when we move in. I this house, the boys have the world's ugliest bathroom. Fixtures are assorted shades of 1960's green - seafoam, lime, avacado. Yes, all in the same room. The only thing to do was embrace the ugly! We added a lava lamp, black shag bathmat, disco ball & space theme accessories!
