180 +10:

If you are staying ONsite, you can call at 180 days out like everyone else BUT, you are allowed to book the next 10 days of your vacation too in the same phone call. This allows for people with a 10 night vacation to book meals all 10 days without having to call back each day like offsite guests do.

They DO!!! I have heard "home noises" like t.v. in the background too. I'm not all that sure I like that and when I do hear it, I tend to say that I need to call back.

Not so sure I want to give my cc info to a 3rd party working at home. Apologies and I do not mean to offend those that are currently doing this. That is just how I personally feel about it.:duck:

They definitely do. I ran into an old HS friend and i asked what she was doing now and she said she works from home for Disney Dining! She had to supply the computer/high speed internet and phone line. She seemed to really like it but said she does talk on the phone all day with that type of job and never feels like she gets away from it. Still sounds like fun to me!

Lately I've been calling DVC member services to make dining reservations because the process seems less painful (and much quieter). It would seem that my less-than-stellar impressions of Disney Dining were not crazy.

She's one lucky lady......I would LOVE to do that :yay: :yay:. I am a SAHM considering going back to work part-time (I have one DS going into 8th grade and another starting high school). I would love to work for Disney from home....I've often wondered how people got those jobs :confused3. My DH tells me I was born with a phone in my ear because I talk on the phone constantly :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:. That kind of job would fit me perfectly.....not to mention it would be working for the MOUSE :cutie:. Some people are sooo lucky ::yes::.

< ---------- very lucky!!

I love working Disney Dining Reservations.

We all work in the highest tower of Cinderella's Castle surrounded by magic and pixie dust!! Have a Magical Day!

I did an online search about this and came up with nothing. I do not think they work from home but who knows? I wish they did as I would love to do this. Any CM's out there who can confirm?

I could not find anything about it either...I would LOVE to do this...I am a SAHM and would like to do something like this when my dh got home later in the day...does anyone have any info on how I could get started?

I work from home for a very large company doing programming. When I have to call clients I make sure the cat, dog and kids are quiet and I would NEVER have a tv volume on.

I have a friend who answers the phone for disney from her home here in NJ. She answers general questions about disney. Disney did not want to outsource this work to people outside of the US.

JCLNJ.....do you think your friend might help us out? Does she know where we could get started or who to contact for those who are interested?

I would love to know this as well as it would be awesome to not only work for Disney, but be able to do it from home ::yes::. Thanks for asking this, mickeysgirl :cutie:.

I am currently looking at the website disneycareers.com to see if there may be any info on there. I will let you all know if I find anything.

well, what i don't know is if there'd be any benefits from disney. you are an independent contractor working for yourself so they probably pay no CM benefits. it'd be to their benefit to hire them out this way, much cheaper for disney.:( Maybe someone else can shed some light on that.

I am not sure but I am very surprised they allow background noises at all, my company is testing customer service @ home now, and there is a 3 strike your back in the office rule , which pretty much covers any background noise that might happen why you are on a call. Before they let you go home, you sign a contract saying you agree that if you can not provide a quiet work envoirment, you will come back in house...
I am thankful I am not in service, I wah but my entire department does as well including my direct reports, and even then we have to be aware of our background sounds when we are on calls.

I'll try to find out what company she works for. She is not an employee of Disney so has no benefits from them. Like I said earlier this company handles phone calls from several large companies in the US. She choose to answer the calls from Disney. You get access into Disney information to be able to answer any questions.

I have worked from home for 10 plus years and sometimes you cannot help the background noise...it comes with the territory. How at all times can you keep a dog from barking, a tv from coming on, kids from screaming, door bells from ringing. It just does not happen. I always apologize and the person on the other end laughs and states how much they wish I had my job.

People have to give me personal info all the time and do without hesitation. You give your TA your cc info and a lot of them work from home.

I think this sounds like a great job!

Do they get any Disney benefits? It sounds like they don't because of the independent contractor status. Still though, kind of a nice job to do in your jammies.

This was my thought exactly. Sure...Disney benefits would be great...but having a job out of the comforts of my own home couldn't be beat. But, in a way, Disney would be giving me a benefit because the money I would earn working for them would go to pay for our yearly trips to Disney :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:. So Disney would be paying ME to visit the Mouse :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:.

subscribing.....would love to learn more!!! :cool1: Interested working for the mouse....how cool that would be!:thumbsup2
