Okay I know its Aug. 1st but who here has started christmas shopping? I am trying to decide on what to get Olivia from Santa this year. As Virginia will be here around Nov. 10th I doubt I will have much time to shop after she gets here or feel up to shoping.

Dsiney shopping has a blue oxford Shirt with a mickey icon on the left side up top that I am considering for Jeff.

Look what was in our neighbors yard!!!!!

how neat. we had some deers in our yard earlier but they were gone by the time I got the camera out.

so for the past 4 yrs tax free weekend has been the first weekend in aug here. So I made sure I was off fri, sat and sun this weekend. Well they changed it tothe 17,18,and 19th of this month. I guess since school is not starting till the 27th here they thought they would move it closer to that.

So I know Glynis and Katie will be out of town but what is everyone elses plans for this weekend.

I used to be done about this time every year. Until the girls got to the age I couldn't tell them what they wanted for Christmas. :lmao:

Well except for Santa for Olivia I am done with her. Jeff have not started and not sure what I will get Vrigina. Espically since she will be about 6weeks old.

We only buy Christmas gifts for the little ones in the family. Disney is always the big gift.

I posted the pictures on the CB and someone posted that they are called Piebald deer.

Too cute! I love how Chase is "touching" Kaylin's nose. :rotfl:

Congrats to the family! :)

Tammi - glad you got the outcome you wanted!

Elin - did you take the picture of the tree on the rocks on 17 Mile Drive? I love your pictures. TFS!

:woohoo:

Seriously, Tom. you have to stop. I think that I may have to have another baby so I can *hopefully* have a girl to dress her in outfits as cute as this! :goodvibes

So, our water bill was a lot higher than usual so I checked the toilets for leaks and checked the outside spigots, etc. Nothing leaking. Called the water company. Seems that the water leak is coming from the outside and not the inside. The solution? Have a plumber dig up the yard and find the leaky pipe.   He said that in the time that we were talking, the pipe leaked 2 gallons of water. :scared1: So, I have to get it fixed pronto. And, I've got to pack for NY and am leaving at 6 am on Friday morning. :headache:

Happy Hump Day!

Every other move prior to that had been to put her finger in Kaylin's mouth so this was the better one. ;) So cute though!

Um...and now my oven is broken. I've had nothing but problems with this oven. It's a gas oven and intermittenly, it won't turn over. You lite it....and nothing. So, I go to make dinner...and nothing. Darn. Now what to do about dinner.

Yikes! Oven and pipes in the same day. Hope they are both fixed soon (and and not too expensively!)

So, now you make RESERVATIONS!:rotfl2: Sorry about the oven! And the water pipe!:headache: What a mess!

Tia - Have you read the Mitford series by Jan Karon? Totally not books I would have chosen myself, but a former Momboss had them so I read them. They were very enjoyable! I also loved "Cider House Rules". I never saw the movie. The book is about 600 pages so there is no way the movie could have covered everything in the book. It started slow, but I really liked it after I got into it. I used to read Anne Rivers Siddons and Mary Higgins Clark but haven't read them in several years. Mary Higgins Clark has a very distinct "formula" so all of her books tend to be almost the same.

I started the Mitford series years ago, but forgot where I left off. I may have to take some of Terra's computer time at the library sometime and flip through the books to see if I can figure it out. I think it's around book 6, but can never remember from the titles. I loved Cider House Rules! The movie was good too, but I really liked the books. I should try reading more of his stuff sometime.

If you like fun murder mysteries, try the Hannah Swenson murder series. The first one is Chocolate Chip Cookie Murder. They are all really fun, and contain some really yummy recipes. Yes, I tried some of them!

I just finished a really good book called "The Rule of Four." It is a literary mystery, and it really was good. Can't remember the author though.

If you like young adult fiction, try Twilight and New Moon by Stephenie Meyer. Very romantic, and not what you'd expect!!! Loved both of them!!!

Our book club just read "Three Cups of Tea" and it was excellent, too! You'll never look at world events the same again!

Thanks Glynis. I reserved Three Cups of Tea after you talked about it before and am waiting for my turn on it. Hopefully it should come up soon.

Good Morning DDA!

I have been up late working on my latest project!

Do you thing Leighanna might have an occasion to wear this?;)

It's August!

I get to meet some of my friends!

And,

:dance3: We're going to Disney next month!:dance3:

Double Wow! Every new outfit is more fantastic than the next. Do you do adult clothes?

Anne Marie- Can't remember if I wished you & Dana a Happy Birthday so [FONT="Arial

Eric's sister had her baby on your birthday. We have a new niece, Sarah Fay. She weighed in at 7lbs 5 oz. No length as apparently they don't measure them in England :confused3 :confused3

Welcome to the new babies! My cousin just had a baby in England. We were surprised that they don't measure length over there, too.

Happy belated Birthday, Anne Marie and Dana!
Happy Birthday, Marci!

Yay for Lucy checking out perfectly!

Have a terrific trip!

Beth

Thanks for the birthday wishes!

Congrats Aunties!!!!!:yay:

I just got on the library website and reserved about 6 books. Hopefully some of them will come in before my trip. Hopefully I won't finish all of them before my trip.:rotfl2:

Tia - I didn't realize the Cider House guy had more books! I'll have to look into that! Have you read anythign by Wally Lamb? I like his stuff. And Nick Hornsby.

Yeah, he has several. All along the same lines of time and place I think (but could be wrong). I read several Wally Lamb several years ago, but may need to look into it again. Nick Hornsby reminds me that I keep meaning to request one of his books! I have read High Fidelity and really enjoyed it. I have been wanting to read the book that the movie Fever Pitch was based on.
