109 in Vegas. It really did not feel that bad to me. I would take that higher, dry heat over the upper 90s with high humidity like we get where I live.
Exact same for me—115 in Vegas when we went one July. And it felt more comfortable than Disney at 95 in July. I live in TN and humidity is awful here, but Orlando and Charleston SC in August take that to a whole next level of miserable.Definitely Las Vegas. I think 115 was the hottest.
I was in London in June 1976 during the .....then record breaking.....heat wave. As I posted elsewhere, I was surprised at the lack of Air Conditioning or a pool at the Hilton hotel I stayed at in London. And to be honest, today as I do some digging and comparing, I am even more surprised. Hotels in San Francisco, where the weather is about 7 degrees cooler on average than London, high rise hotels all have air conditioning, mostly I suspect just for ventilation. We have very little domestic air conditioning in the U.K. as it’s not normally needed.
122 on June 26, 1990 in Phoenix, AZ. I remember it well because I just got my drivers license and my car overheated.
