What motel/hotel did you last stay? Did you like it a lot?

I know I have asked this before but it's always fun to read possible new reviews on a stay........:)

DH and I and one of our sons' and wife stayed at Firekeepers casino/hotel in Battle Creek, MI. We stayed the weekend before Christmas Day and had a lot of fun. The rooms are great. We were on the 6th floor so the view of the highway was even better!!

I love gambling and the kids loved the pool and very large hot tub. And Dad loved the Bloody Mary's at one of the bars. :teeth:

Last hotel stay was at the Bellagio in Las Vegas. Amazing@

Hampton Inn, Wytheville Virginia
It's our halfway drive home from Florida.
It was okay. The first room they gave us smelled smoky, so we moved to another floor.

Well since my last trip was to Florida no surprise my last stay was at Disney. I tacked on a few days at All Star Movies after a trip to Orlando with my folks. While in Orlando we stayed at Hilton Grand Vacations at Seaworld.

I’d stayed at that Hilton GV in 2016 for a conference so thought it would be a great fit for my folks and a non Disney stay (we did Seaworld and NASA) and it was. I really like the property and it’s really central to major roads, shopping and entertainment. It’s also a great price point for a 1 BR with a full Kitchen. ($150ish) with a great pool area and food options.

As far a AS Movies well I’m a fan of the All Stars when doing a solo trip. Great price, good size and since I don’t need a lot of extras I like it for a basic park comando trip.

All Suites. Many, many years ago it used to be an Embassy Suites. I got it very reasonable with Groupon and got what I paid for. It is right in town but I got the room to take my 2 nieces and a nephew during Winter Break. Our Winter Break was during a sub zero cold snap so we couldn't really do anything fun. the kids got to swim and have a night away. Not sure if i'd stay there again even with a Groupon.

Over the summer I stayed at a Holiday Inn Express in Jamestown, NY and loved it.

Sunscape Splash Montego Bay....only due to our flight being canceled coming home. We were on the plane and had to deplane, found out flight canceled for the day. American Airlines put us up at the sunscape...for free it was okay. However, wouldn’t choose to stay there.

Our last one was the Mountain Pine Inn in East Glacier Park, MT. It is a little, family owned motel (there are no chain hotels around there). When we pulled up to it, my kids said "We're staying here?!" It was definitely not what they're used to. Let's just say it was pretty basic (I'm guessing built in the 60s and minimal renovations. No air conditioning, thin walls, etc.) However, it was clean. The family who owned/ran it was very nice and helpful. And we ended up having a very nice stay.

Royal Pacific at Universal Orlando last month. Club level for the first time. Nice room, comfy bed, and they honestly will do anything in their power to make you happy. One evening the entree had shrimp in it and my Wife is allergic. They came up with a plate of chicken alfredo that was wonderful! We also met regular poster Schumigirl and her family.

We just got home today from a split stay: 3 days BC then 3 days YC. Absolutely amazing vacation. Amazing resorts. Walked to EPCOT and HS.. Rode FOP twice with FP+. Booked bounce back for December at BC. Reality will hit tomorrow.

Marriott Village Lake Buena Vista Thanksgiving. Was nice 2 double beds, 2 tvs, living area, kitchenette. Decent, not the best breakfast. Clean. Affordable. Not far from ESPN wide world of sports and Disney Sprngs. Near food, shopping.

Before that, Towne Place Suites in Slidell, LA. New complex. We were there for ds's wedding. Wish we had more time to enjoy the fire pit and pool. Very comfortable 2 bedrooms, living room and full kitchen. Will be looking for similar properties on future trips.

Marriott Copley Place in Boston- love that hotel. They have the absolute best concierge lounge there, they put out food for gold and platinum members and most nights I can make an entire meal of the food and not have to buy food, and also they have a great concierge free breakfast. They also have free drinks (soda, water, juice) whenever you want them so I really like staying there.

We stayed at the Hilton Doubletree in downtown St Paul, MN for a few nights a couple of weeks ago. It was alright, nothing fabulous but not horrible. Loved that it was connected to the Skyway so we didn’t have to go outside to get to the Xcel center for the Wild game we attended.

A Homewood Suites by Hilton in Charleston, SC in October. They hotel was almost brand new, only open a few months. Very nice, and they had introductory rates. However, the location was a bit sketchy but it looks like they're revitalizing the area. Free shuttle bus service to the historic district.
We stayed at a brand new one in upper state NY near Buffalo and on our way home in Toledo over Christmas. They are dog friendly-you pay extra.

My favorite was the Waldorf Astoria in NYC last Oct. before our Disney Cruise. Super low rates for being a Hilton Honors Member. $185. The place was so fun and interesting. We did a walking tour in the morning before we checked out. So much history. I was sad to see that it was sold to the Chinese, and they are making it apartments and condo's. The top floors were already apartments. Bummer.

Tigh na Mara Spa and Resort in Parksville BC over labour day weekend. It was my second visit there but the first one was almost 18 years ago. It was the first place DH and I went on a getaway together so it was fun going back with the kids. It is a a beautiful locale but I think the cabins are in need for some renos now. It was more impressive the first time we went.

The previous month we stayed at the Pan Pacific Mountainside in Whistler. I think this one of my favourite hotels we have stayed at. We will definitely go back to this one. We were upgraded to a top floor mountain view without even asking. What a view!

Was booked for a free corporate chain hotel stay in DC for work and switched to the Hay-Adams with no compensation from job.
Sometimes I just don't care about the money and how freeing is that?

The YOTEL In NYC. What a strange place! The room made a cruise cabin look like a spacious suite.
Cute bar area and funky modern decor
We we’re going to a show at the hard rock and decided to stay the night instead of driving home. That is what I won from Priceline for $200 for the night.
Cute for 1 night. Couldn’t imagine vacationing for a week in it though!
