What motel/hotel did you last stay? Did you like it a lot?

I know I have asked this before but it's always fun to read possible new reviews on a stay........:)

DH and I and one of our sons' and wife stayed at Firekeepers casino/hotel in Battle Creek, MI. We stayed the weekend before Christmas Day and had a lot of fun. The rooms are great. We were on the 6th floor so the view of the highway was even better!!

I love gambling and the kids loved the pool and very large hot tub. And Dad loved the Bloody Mary's at one of the bars. :teeth:

Camden On The Lake at Lake of The Ozarks.

Yes, very nice. By far my favorite place to stay.

Kahler Grand Hotel in Rochester, MN we stayed there for 8 nights. My daughter was seeing the Mayo clinic pediatric diagnostic dept. It wasn't fancy but very convenient. I had to take allergy pills because something in the room made my allergies act up.

We stayed in the most fabulous AirBnB rental in Weeki Wachee, Florida a couple weeks ago. All the decor is mermaid-themed and it is on a canal just a few houses down from the spring-fed river that runs through the state park. And the rental included kayaks, a canoe, and a standup paddleboard so we spent most of our stay out on the river enjoying the manatees.

Before that, our last stay was just one night at the Best Western Valley Plaza in Midland (MI), which was okay. The place is nothing fancy but the room was clean with a pretty courtyard right outside the sliding door and had a really nice pool area. And more importantly, it is a good location for when we're going up to my mom's property but don't want to camp or "rough it" in a hotel without a pool.

I've seen so many ads and billboards for Firekeepers but we've never been. DD had archery competitions near Battle Creek the last two summers but the casino was more expensive than the generic chain hotels in the area and we knew we wouldn't be spending much time at our lodgings, so we still haven't gotten around to trying it. Maybe one of these days we'll have the time and money to make that event a two-night stay and give it a try.

In September/October I stayed in 8 hotels over a three-week South American vacation. The last hotel I stayed in was the Belmond Miraflores Park, Lima, Peru - and yes, it was fantastic!

Last stay was at Courtyard Marriott Los Angeles Burbank Airport so DH and ODD could go see Hamilton at the Pantages. It was a nice hotel in a shopping center, which was nice for YDD and I as we were on foot for dinner. The hotel has a nice pool DD enjoyed and also has board games in the lobby we had fun playing. Plus it was MUCH cheaper than staying in Hollywood.

My wife is addicted to Holiday Inn Express. Last one we stayed at was in October in Solvang, California. Great place, breakfast included, wine tasting every evening, and literally on the main drag in Solvang so we left our car parked at the hotel and walked to all the tourist attractions in Solvang.

I sure hope your daughter is doing well.

Comfort Inn & Suites in Anaheim at the end of July / beginning of August last year. It was mostly for Disneyland and to see the Phillies play the Angels.

Hilton New York JFK, Jamaica, NY - courtesy of Delta because we missed our connection due to are arriving flight being delayed.

It was late, and I was most interested in the restaurant, the shower and the bed. All were just fine. :-)

A Homewood Suites by Hilton in Charleston, SC in October. They hotel was almost brand new, only open a few months. Very nice, and they had introductory rates. However, the location was a bit sketchy but it looks like they're revitalizing the area. Free shuttle bus service to the historic district.

Three nights in a top floor suite at the Lilac Tree hotel on Mackinaw Island in September. Had a beautiful view of the water, Round Island lighthouse and the street below. Loved hearing the clip-clop of the horses on the street. ❤️

A Hyatt House, which we will never be staying in again. Modern, new, free breakfast - what could be wrong? Well, the little buggers in the room above us. Every.single.day until close to midnight and then again before the sun came up would they jump, pound, run, jump off furniture, parents would yell at each other - the works. They were there all 5 days of our trip, too...
