What does a million dollar home look like in your area?

Nothing particularly close, this one is in central Orlando...

Hey! Where are you New Jersey people:confused3

Why don't you show us what a million dollars gets you in The Land of $500,000 fixer-uppers;) :rotfl:

Interesting thread... I can't wait to look at the other links.

This is close to my home. The house appears to be in the process of getting cleaned-up/fixed up. Maybe they ran out of money, I don't know. :confused3 It's almost 2 acres of land, that amount of land is uncommon around here. Pictures of the interior of the home aren't shown, that says something about its condition. :scared1: http://homes.realtor.com/search/lis...09b6ca3e&lid=1080286101&lsn=9&srcnt=86#Detail

Here is another one for comparison, in the same area: http://homes.realtor.com/search/lis...93bbe96&lid=1077682592&lsn=10&srcnt=86#Detail

This is the house we are considering for half a million. I want it sooooo bad, but my hubby doesn't like the "old" house, scared it will have problems. :sad1: I want to jump up down and grab him and shake him....I want it!!!!! That home has a pool AND tennis court...I want that house.....Can you imagine a million dollar home?! LOL

Here is a million dollar home and my dream home is better imo: http://www.midgeorgiarealestate.com...GetContent=no&SessionSQL=Y&PageNO=2&PID=93735

Housing prices are horrible here even with the housing bust. I am so glad I got into my house when I did.

So, let's see what is on the market for a million bucks. Well, you could get this 3 bedroom, 1.5 bath "beauty"

And no, it does not come with a ton of land or anything like that.

Now, if you want to stretch yourself and go "all out" for $1,189,000.00 you can have this 3 bedroom, 2.5 bath "beauty":

Ah, you think "maybe a condo or townhouse would be more affordable". Why, yes it is! For $608,800 you can have this 2 bedroom, 1.5 bath condo:

The *only* good thing about housing being overpriced here is that someday I am going to want to sell my house. If these pieces o' junk are going this high I would love to know the current value of my house.

How do people afford to live there??? I'm just in shock.

My house was less than $100k. I bet it would go pretty high where you live if we could only transport it over there. :rotfl2: I've seen houses in the teens that are fixer uppers.
