DVC Christmas Tree, Sharing A little DVC Holiday Magic!

The Dates of the Tree passing are open from November 19th to Jan. 7
(unless your dates are before nov. 19th and you really want to be apart of the magic and if i dont have a gap of 5 or 6 days in between families.)
I will except names,dates, and resorts up to Nov. 1.

This is our 4th Year in Passing a Christmas Tree from
DVC Families to DVC Families, "Spreading a little DVC Holiday Magic".
Please drop the tree off on the date of your departure at 11am with the Bell service for the next family, also please cross your name off the list on the outside of the tree box. Also when dropping the tree off at the Bell service, please point out to the CM who the next family that will be picking up the tree. Pick up the tree at the Bell service day of arrival after 11 am. There will be a envelope for donations (in each tree box) for Shipping the trees to & from the resorts.

We are looking for DVC Families to donate a decorated tree, no bigger then 4 feet please, the perfect size is 2 1/2 to 3 feet. We need at least one or two trees per DVC resort, this includes HHI & Vero Beach.

In the past we have had up to 4 trees per resort.

You dont have to donate a tree, you are welcome to pm me with your ID name, resort your staying, and dates. I will do my best to get everyone in on the Magic.

When time gets closer i will pm you to confirm your dates,resort, at that time i will need you to pm me back with your last name.

I ask if you are staying in two different resorts that you only sign up for one stay, unless your dates are available when time gets closer.

Spiceycat you can ship the tree right to the resort around the second week in nov. depending on if we have families getting to okw before you. That is why i ask families to donate a few dollars to help with shipping the box to the resort and back to you. I will post more info for everyone when we get closer, but i am happy to answer any question before then.

Hi i PM'D you re the dates our family will be at OKW. i HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS SINCE LAST YEAR, EVEN POSTED ABOUT IT MONTHS AGO. I will be staying at OKW 12/24-29 and would like to particapte in the tree sharing. as hubby and i will try to get there before the rest of the family would love to have the tree in the room before everyone gets there. please tell me that our dates are open and I would be glad to pass the tree on to the next family before we go and whatever money you need let me know..thanks again bunnymkc Marianne ps we will not be renting a car taking ME to the reort. let me know please..thanks marianne. if its yes will try to bring some decorations in our suitcase..

I'd be glad to once again donate a tree to the BWV. I can actually donate two, if you need them. We will be visiting from November 25th - December 8th. We have another family coming with us from Nov. 25th - Dec. 4 and have another tree we could send for them, if you need?? As in previous years, this is such a great thing you are arranging wdwstar!

That's a very cute tree! Were you in a dedicated studio? I notice the smaller window in the background. We had a dedicated studio with a window like that, and it provided the perfect place for our tree, imho!

Hi bobbiwoz,

Yes it was a dedicated studio. I think they are the best of the studios IMO, they seem to be a little bigger due to the fact they are at the end of the hallway (closest to the pool). You can see the little windows in the picture in my signature.

Thanks for all the complements on the tree. I spent a lot of time trying to decide how to decorate the tree to kind of match the theme of VWL.


Now all i have to do is wait for our trip in a couple of months.

We got to share Jim's tree and it was AMAZING.

His Garlands and door wreath seemed to have been made by DIsney for VWL, that is how well the matched the decor and colors.

More amazing is how organized Jim was, I have accused him of being an engineer serveral times based on the excellent packaging, and the number of supplies and goodies crammed into such a small space.

I am certain he is violating some space-time continuium law of physics!

Seriously, his tree and our magical Xmas 2005 at VWL, made my DW change from, "What's all this DIsney stuff!" To someone who GETS Disney, and now loves it as much, and plans as much as I do.
