In MDE, tickets are linked as park planning pass they are 3 day park hoppers valid for our 5 night stay. However they are not valid for admission unless IDs are shown at ticket window.

Do we go to the ticket window the day before we go to the parks if we want to use early morning admission?

Or does getting magic bands bypass this altogether?

TIA

If you need to show IDs, you should go to the ticket window or Guest Relations before you try to enter a park. You can go to the Official Ticket Center or the GR office in Disney Springs, and there are ticket windows and GR offices outside every park entrance that will be open before early morning entry. So you can go to any of the above the day before, or the morning of, depending on what's most convenient (I'd go the day before, as you said!).

OK editing my question. I did not add Memory maker to my date based ticket but when I upgrade at the end of my trip I want to add the photopass for $99. At that point will I be able to retroactively access all my pics from the week? Kind of like if I had bought memory maker after my trip ended?

Yes the one time I upgraded tickets to AP during a trip the photopass add on did give me pics from the whole trip

I purchased a package with 5 day hopper tickets in January….I want to add 1 additional day. Any reason to upgrade after first use or is price the same if I do it before arrival?…(Recent cast member interaction did not make me feel staff are as competent and knowledgeable as they were pre pandemic.)

TIA!

Agreed, this should work (and has for me in the past as well)!

I would download the pictures quickly though. AP PhotoPass photos last a year. Regular PhotoPass photos only last 45 days. IDK if it will will be smart enough to keep the non-AP timeframe photos for a year.

You will receive the same credit towards upgrade regardless if you use the ticket first or not.

Thank you….I did think price increases following when you first purchased were now added in, but since it wasn’t that way in the past, I just wanted to confirm. Thanks Dis family!1713645133635.png

No, if a price increase happens between when you bought the ticket and when you do the upgrade, you will pay that increase. Your credit is equal to the price WDW sold the same ticket online on the date you bought it.

I have a couple AP vouchers I bought in 2010, before the DVC gold. I think there was only one annual pass type at the time, included everything and photos too.
I hope GR will know how to handle an Exchange Certificate this old.
On My Disney Experience, it shows it expires Dec 31, 2099.
Has anyone redeemed on this old recently?
I believe I shouldn't have to pay any extra, as these were sold as good for life.

Hi! Do you have any information about Tripster? Has anyone used it without issue? What’s the story with it? I already know about UT but this site also came up. Thanks!!

I have a question concerning the hopper plus. We are going in July, having 4 days at the park, then the granddaughters are doing a dance seminar for a few days after we check out (staying at Lake Buena Vista Hilton). If I get a 4 day hopper plus, will they be able to use the water parks after we move on to the Hilton? I have been reading and am hoping we can do a theme park one day, and water park another, and the theme park and water park not having to be done on the same day.

edit for clarity. The first 4 days we are staying onsite, then moving to the Hilton.

A 4-day PH+ ticket is valid for 8 days from the designated start date. You may use the 4 theme park days and 4 plus options in any order. Each on 8 separate days, or a theme park and water park on the same day (counts a 1 of each), or a water park and mini-golf on one day (counts as 2 plus)

I am planning to buy an incredi-pass, with first use being late August. I am also considering buying tickets to the DHS after hours on 8/29 - the same day I will activate my AP. If I buy the AP now, can I then buy the after hours ticket with the discount even though I am not activating my AP until 8/29?

It's not a big deal if I can't get the discount on the after hours ticket, but I want to be sure that if I do, it won't somehow treat the day I purchase the after hours ticket as activating the AP.

We have 7-day PH+ tickets for an April trip purchased thru a reseller. We are now DVC-Y and might upgrade to Sorcerer but dont want to deal with Park reservations if we dont have to for our April trip, so we might wait until the last day before heading to Guest Services...
Has anyone recently done price bridging successfully with 3rd party tickets ? Its so close to making sense or not making sense to upgrade based on another quick trip in October that we will probably take.

Thanks

Just wanted to update my post. We successfully ticket bridged to Sorcerers for $168.15 a few days ago. We visited Guest Relations under Space Ship Earth and it was super easy. We did not use our Water Park option (strategically) so there was no problem with just getting a base Sorcerer pass. The cast member made 2 park reservations for our last 2 days and off we went.

Many thanks for taking the time to come back and update! Very helpful!

I have three gold annual passes that I purchased in February 2020 and never began using. We are planning on activating the passes this summer. I have inquired about what the process will be since gold passes are no longer sold via chat on three separate occasions over the past 6 months and have received three separate answers.
1. No problem, they will be activated and their is a legacy calendar to follow, but renewal may be tricky.
2. Passes will be transferred to similar category of new passes, but extra cost may come into play. Go to front gate and they will sort it out
3. Passes cannot be used. Original value may be offered, but it is up to the front gate.

I was disappointed that I received three separate answers because to me that says that there is no clear policy. Has anyone dealt with a similar scenario and if so, how did it work out for you?

I suspect the different responses may directly correspond to how long the phone CM has been with the company. Responses #2 and #3 reflect the more current situation with APs "expiring" if not activated within 1 year of purchase.

#1 is pretty much the right answer, though I think the block-out dates may differ. Here is a calendar of 2024-2025 block-out dates for Gold. https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/passes/calendar/gold-annual-pass/
You will not be allowed to "renew" into a Gold pass, however; a year from now when time for renewal rolls around you'll have to renew into a current pass -- I think that will be Sorcerer but you need to meet the qualifications for that AP at the time of renewal.

And be aware that you still need Theme Park Reservations with an AP.

I'm sure this has been answered but I can't seem to find the information. Due to DH's injury, we may have to cut down our trip to WDW next week. I now have a 6-day PH which would be more than I need. If I purchased a ticket for fewer days, would I be able to add it to my MDE and how would I know it would be the ticket that is being used on our trip. Am I able to remove the 6-day PH and add a 3-4 day pass in place of it and save the 6-day PH for future trip? Thanks in advance.
