The Tenth Honeymoon is the Best One of Them All! - May '14 TR - COMPLETED 4/19

Awesome Trip Report!!!!!
I'm so glad that you finished, and that I was able to read the rest as well! I must say Tutto Italia looks delicious, and that I think I'll get the family to try that next trip!
I hope that you guys have a fantastic trip this year, and that you successfully become a CBR convert. haha!!
Thanks for sharing, and you better come back with a new TR this year!!

Thanks! The new TR is already started, but won't be posted until we get back :)

Looking forward to CBR! The more we read about it and see photos, the more excited we get. The biggest concern for us in the past was the bussing, but from what I've read repeatedly on these boards, that's massively overblown.

24 more days!

Bravo! This was such an enjoyable read. My daughter perused one trip report by a teen girl awhile back, but, by how she described it, I believe it was mostly about cupcakes. Now, I am in no way opposed to cupcakes, but the content in your report was absolutely sublime, and your family is beautiful.

My husband and I miss our annual trips with our 3 kids to WDW, but as our sons grew older (our daughter - the baby of the fam...is only now 13) we decided to mix it up and traveled a bit further each summer (California, Hawaii, etc). However, we haven't been back "home" for awhile. Your report made me realize how steep my learning curve will truly be as I now attempt to plan again.

But first, a few more college visits on tap for our second oldest son. He wants to visit Lehigh in June...any recommendations for a nice place to have dinner near the University?

Thanks! Perhaps I'm missing a key demographic by not talking enough about cupcakes?

Speaking of teen girls.....princessandpascal is NOT a teen (anymore), but she's not far out from those years, and her new TR is absolutely hilarious. You should check it out.

By that, I'm assuming you mean DL and Aulani? ;)

If you have to ask that, I question if you actually read my Trip Report. Perhaps I need to wear MORE Bethlehem Brew Works shirts on our upcoming trip, in order to get the message across!

BBW is on the other side of the bridge from Lehigh, though, so I'll cut you some slack and assume you want to eat closer to the campus :) Lots of choices. If you like sushi, 24 East is the absolute best I've had anywhere, IMO. General Zapatas has fantastic tacos, though it's a hole-in-the-wall, and the service can be hit-or-miss. Tulum is another great Mexican restaurant, but also small.

If you venture away from campus and toward downtown, Apollo, which is slightly more upscale (though I still go there in jeans), has excellent food, and would be my top pick if you want something nicer. Mama Nina's on Main Street supposedly has great Italian food, but I've never been there. The place is always packed.

There are also some nice places at the casino (which kids under 21 can get to), but they're really pricey, so we generally try to avoid them.

I'll ask Kristin if she has any more suggestions, since she used to work on the South Side (where Lehigh is).

We really love this area, which will make the eventual move to Florida (still years away) more difficult :)

We've not been to the Bethlehem area before, so although I feel I've seen an impressive assortment of Bethlehem BrewWorks t-shirts (), I didn't know if your beloved brew-Mecca was actually near Lehigh. LOVE sushi btw, ..and I'm going to recommend Doraku Sushi if ever you find yourself on Oahu, specifically Waikiki...however, we only spent a few days on Oahu (for Pearl Harbor, Diamond Head, etc)...Maui is where we spent a full 7 days of paradise. Highly recommend it. Alas, we did not do a Disnified Hawaii. I went super crazy spider monkey planning mode and meticulously planned a non-Disney Hawaii vacation. It was epic. We did visit DL for 2 days during a 10 day California Journey in 2011...but it made me miss Epcot. Weird, I know. I miss DisneyWorld right now. Our oldest has a college summer internship in Florida and is already planning to take an excursion to Orlando w/ friends. He will be the only one of us to ride the 7D Mine Train. Lucky kid. Glad I raised him right. However, he will actually be making the Orlando weekend trip for Walker/StalkerCon. Soooo, there's that. College kids are huge TWD fans.

If I can't interest my fam in sushi that day, maybe we'll try General Zapata's (for a "revolutionary" meal ;)
Typically, it's the hole-in-the-wall recommended by a local that has the best to offer. However, I know my husband will prob attempt to sway me to the BrewWorks...I let him win once in awhile.

We're actually going in June this year (what??), and not staying at CSR (what???). We're trying out CBR for the first time. It'll be an adventure!
I'm late to your TR party here but WILL be able to follow along in a timely fashion on your next TR.....you are doing one, right? Curious. We stayed at CSR when it opened and thought it was a nice resort....loved that pool. We are returning to the World this SEpt/Oct and will be staying at CBR for the first time so I'm anxious to read about your thoughts!
